This is another edition of Raw's Revenge.  I am sorry that I couldn't post this yesterday. Since Halloween is coming up, I had to get ready.  One great event where it's the only day you can wear a mask and scare people.  Anyway, as Raw started, just like last week, I wasn't excited.  I haven't been excited for Raw in weeks, unlike Smackdown where I am excited every single week.  Now last week on my review of Raw, I stated that Raw needed more action.  They must have read and listened to my review as they did exactly what I told them.  Let me explain:

Raw had great action on Monday.  All of the matches weren't great, but there were ones that really stood out.  Chris Jericho came out at the beginning, just like every week.  Long story short, Adamle stated that Y2J could pick an opponent for Batista and Batista could pick on for Chris.  When Jericho told Batista he will be facing HBK, I knew it would be a pay-per-view match.  I was surprised that this match wasn't the main event, it certainly should have been.  When Chris said that it was going to be an lumberjack match, I thought it would ruin the match.  Ironically, it didn't.  I think it may have made it better. I saw the Batista and HBK match earlier this year and that was great, so I knew it was going to be hard to match it.  This match had the purist form of entertainment and action.  I enjoyed this match the best and I thought it was the best.  I was mad at the end though as I wanted to HAVE a winner for the match, but the lumberjacks had to come in the ring and ruin it.  So there was no winner but I was eager to see what the rest of the night would bring.

I was surprised that the first match was Kane and Mark Henry vs. Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy.  Really this match was alright.  It didn't have the action like the HBK and Batista match, but it was pretty good.  I would really like to see this match again but with REAL Smackdown action as Smackdown always seem to have the great action in their matches.

What part did I think was really interesting and exciting?  This part I am talking about is the whole Santino, Beth Phoenix, The great Khali, and Johnny Knoxville.  First, Santino and Beth came out and were talking.  Santino was making jokes about his Cyber Sunday opponents.  Then he was talking about Johnny Knoxville.  He came into the ring and started to make cracks about Beth.   He called her "Dude" and Santino said that you don't want to mess with him.  Beth got disgusted and went and body slammed Johnny.  That part was great.  Santino and Beth always make me laugh when they talk.  After that, Hornswoggle came out under the ring and tadpole splashed Johnny.  I haven't seen Hornswoggle in so long as I don't watch ECW.  The next thing was no other than The Great Khali.  He came out and started smiling again and just destroyed Knoxville.  I guess he showed him what entertainment was all about.  Finally, Big **** Johnson came to the ring and started doing what he always does on TV.  I haven't seen him in awhile and it was great that he came out.  Johnny's friend then came to the ring and started dancing with Johnson.  I thought this whole segment was going to end right there, but then a star came out that caught me unexpectedly was the Boogeyman.  He finally is back into the WWE and I am surprised he got a big crowd reaction as he hasn't been on any WWE show for months.  He came and Johnson left.  Boogeyman did what made him famous and ate the worms and put it on Knoxville's friend.  Wow, what a segment that was and it was all done without a commercial break.  That was the best part of the night (best meaning the funniest and not action).

I was very surprised that there wasn't any one on one diva's match.  They have been in mixed tag matches.  They really don't seem to excite me that match but they are alright to watch.  The main event was also a great entertainment and action match.  It was Chris Jericho vs. an opponent who Batista picked and that was CM Punk.  Batista then "named" himself the special guest referee.  What really made me laugh was when I saw Batista and he ripped the ref's shirt because he couldn't even fit in it.  Anyway, this wasn't a one sided match as it really went back and forth.  The part I want to bring up was when Y2J got a cover on Punk and Batista counted 1-2 but right before 3, he was showing, according to his face and had motions that Batista got something in his eyes.  Now if Chris did that last week, they whole crowd and the announcers would have been booing and would say that isn't right.  But when Batista would do it, which he did, the whole crowd cheered and the announcers went along with it and said that the mats are dusty and its easy that he got something in his eye.  That just shows how powerful the WWE makes their babyfaces and heels.  Really, when I saw this happen, I just thought "ya right!"  Now this match actually had a winner and it was CM Punk.  What a shocker!  You can almost expect that when Batista was the ref.

Overall, this show of Raw was better than last week. Actually a lot better.  As you all know, if you don't I will tell you, I give a rating for the show.  This week, Raw gets 3.5 out of 5 stars.  Better than last week, as I said, but I hope next week is even better as a 3.5 is a just passing rating in my eyes.  That's my rating, what yours?

Its a new edition of "Raw's Revenge". this is where you hear the most straight forward Review of Raw. i give my thoughts on it and also give it a raing and much more.  just like last week, i wasnt that excited about Raw coming on air.

Raw started off with Y2J coming out to the ring.  to tell you the truth, when he came out, i new exactly what was going to happen.  Raw is so predictable now.  i could have told you that he was coming out and talking about his match at No Mercy and how he won.  then he would say that he is going to find another opponent.  then i could have told you that Batista was going to come out.  i knew he was going to do something to Chris but i wasnt true what.  it ended up beign a spine buster.  what i didnt expect was Jericho sayine he was in charge tonight.  with the matches he announced, it seemed good, but would they actually be?

well most of the matches seemed rushed to me.  the first match lasted around 5 minutes.  that was the mixed tag team match.  now Santino was funny, he always is.  sometimes i think his mic segments are better than his match.  that match was pretty good but it should have lasted longer.

Ted vs. Kofi was also a fast match.  now i would like to see these stars fight again but in a longer match.  both are great stars and are the future of this business.  it looks like WWE, is going to have Kofi ans CM Punk battle for the world tag titles.  really, you can never tell anymore in the WWE.  it would seem like that would be an interesting rivalry.

the Raw and ECW tag match was alittle picky for me.  now these matches were great 2 weeks ago, last week it seemed rushed and not enough action.  this week, they had commercials all through this match.  it was really hard to stay in the action if you have to wait 2 minutes for 3 times.  now i did get into the action, and it was pretty good.  Mark Henry was good in it.  so was Matt Hardy.  the ending was very good.  i surely thought that Rey and Matt were going to win.  they had it wrapped up, but Mark and Kane got them on the last second and got the victory.  overall, without the commercials, this was a good match will a great ending.

early in the night when Chris announced the No DQ match, i surely thought it would be a waste of time. if its in that type of match, that means NO DQ.  anything goes. so they should have weapons of some sort in the match.  when Lance pulled out a table, i was just hoping they would use that as a weapon and not let it sit around.  i was surprised that they used it as a weapon.  if you have been following my Raw's Revenge, then you know i was annoyed that WWE doesnt use weapons on their TV shows.  when i heard the "CRACK", i was just cheering.  just like the other matches, i thought this would last longer.  well Shawn went into the ring and then hit Lance with a chair.  it came in around 20, may be alittle less.  he was just wacking and wacking.  it ended it that.  HBK went through a lot this year, and it seems like he is not stopping.

the match that particulary bugged me was Jillian vs. Kelly Kelly.  now both tag teams, the miz and cryme time were at the announcing table.  they kept talking and talking.  they were talking over each other and everything.  if you factor one or two points in the match, EVERYONE (including the commentators) were talking.  it really made the match look bad.  i couldnt even understand what they were saying.  they made some jokes that actually got through on the mics and they were funny, but it really made for a poor match.

the main event was Batista vs. JBL for the #1 contendors spot.  now even though the odds were stacked on Batista, i knew he was going to win.  overall, this match was actually good.  it was a good main event.  of course you knew there was going to be some cheating but that is all part of the game.  Jericho against Batista would be a great match to see.

the Cyber Sunday voting seemed to disappoint me so far.  we have someone facing someone else.  you get to pick santino's opponent and then have a special guest ref.  now i hate how you could only vote with your phone.  really, that ruins it for me.  i am not going to pay $1 for a vote.  i dont think no one will. i bet it would be the lostest voting that WWE ever had.

i gave Raw a 3 star last week.  this week had better action.  they actually had wrestling matches, some of them.  it was WAY better than last week, but Smackdown was better than this show.  i will give it a 3.5 out of 5 star because of the better action.  that is my rating, what is yours?

    Raw's Revenge 9/30/08

Raw was last night and that means another edition of "Raw's Revenge". i briefly take a look at what happened at Raw, give my thougths and also a rating.  Usually when Raw is on, i am excited. well this week, i wasnt. really last week, made Raw unappealing to me. Raw started with a wrestling match for once, as they usally start with some talking.  it was Batista vs. Santino. this match was a walk in a park. with that said, i knew how Raw was going to be tonight.  it seemed like Santino's job last night was making people laugh instead of wrestling.  Now Santino and Beth are funny together. they really know how to act. also, WWE is really starting to make Charlie Haas funny.

to me, i think Raw was more like a comedy than a wrestling show.  now dont get me wrong, every show needs comedy, but let me ask you this. where was the action?  i didnt think Raw any. to tell you the truth, i usually remember the matches for Raw, but for this on, i dont. the reason is becuase, i didnt see any excitement or action of the matches. the only match was caught my attension was The Miz and John Morrison vs. Cryme Time.  that match actually showed wrestling talent. it went back and forth and was fast pace.  the other matches were more like a blow off.

the 8 man tag match was boring.  i mean there was really nothing leading up to that match. whre does Kofi Kingston come in at? where does Punk come in at? WWE just threw those people in there and i would be furious with WWE if i was Kofi or Punk.  this match was high flying and fast pace, but really i couldnt get caught up in the action. i mean what action?  WWE cut to a commercial break at least twice, maybe even three times.  Punk stayed in for most of the match as the whole opposing team worked on his arm.  so around that time, i turned the station, then turned back to it. when i turned back, i looked at the show as "oh, what this?" i looked at it if i was a new fan of WWE. instinly i got into the match was was rooting for punk to get to his team. but shortly after that, it all faded away.

the main event match was so predictable. i KNEW that HHH would be HBK's partner. see, Smackdown is moving stations. HHH is on smackdown. they are going to try to get people to watch that show on their new station. it was so simple. i like DX, but i really didnt think it was that big last night. both HBK and HHH wrestled together, that is probably only a one time thing. this match seemed like it was rushed way to fast. HHH beating people up, Chris beating people up, Shawn coming in and then the match ended.  the ending was good though. it advertised the ladder match. it was a long time since i saw Shawn on a ladder.

finally, the thing that i hated the most last night was when everyone saying it was a historic night.  now i agree that it is a historic week as Wrestlemania airs on TV, smackdown going to a new station and ECW changing times.  King and Cole were saying how THIS Raw was historic. they said that after every commercial break. they said that when the Great Khali and the Great Charlie were in the ring. they said that was historic. whats historic about it? NOTHING! that wont be in the recond books at all. this Raw won't be in the record books. the best thing was was historic about the show was HHH and HBK teaming up. that was it.

last week, i gave Raw a 3 out of 5 stars. BUT this week, after i wrote this review, i have to give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.  i was going to give it a 3 star but when writing this, i knew it was worse than i thought.  the only thing that was good was Santino and Jillian and any other funny parts. i am just hoping Raw is way BETTER than this week!

that is my rating for Raw, but what is yours?

    Raw's Revenge 9/23/08

Awarded Best blogger here, and its time again for "Raw's Revenge" where i take a look back at Raw, and give the high's/low's for the show, and also give it a rating. Lets begin!

i wasnt to excited about Raw this week.  even though it was the 800th show, i really didn't see anything special.  They were advertising it to be great and kept saying that it is the 800 show but i think it just made it worse.  It started off with Chris Jerico in the ring and talking about his ladder match with HBK at No Mercy.  i was interested on what he had to say, but really its was all the same from other storylines.  i was glad to see Randy Orton come out as i knew this would heat up.  Seeing him confront Y2J, i knew this would stir something entertaining.  After this promo lasting more than 10 minutes, we finally see Shane McMahon come back and came into the ring to confront Mike Adamlie. i was so happy to see him as Raw really lost some steam without any McMahon's on.  he was on throughout the night, but i hope he comes back to ask Adamlie why he changed the main event. hopefully that happens.

Besides that, really i dont think Raw was that great. Santino wore a nose type mask last night as he said he almost broke his nose.  Now he is just funny as anyone on Raw and having him wear that, you cannot help but laugh.  He was fuuny throughout the night as he appeared him a match and several other segments.

The kane and Evan Bourne match was pretty good but i really didnt get into it.  Actually, i didnt get into any action last night.  the only part i did was when Shane and Santino were on, but that was it.

the main event, which was HBK and Batista vs. lance Cade, JBL, and Y2J, was the best match.  like i said before, i didnt get into the action, but it was at least better than some of the other matches.  I am surprised that Lance Cade got the pinfall.  really he doesnt have to do with anything about the storylines and he shouldn't have been in the match at all.  why would WWE give him the win over HBK?  i surely thought HBK was going to get the win or even better the pinfall.  I would like to see what would happen next week about Shane and Adamlie and Chris Jerico and HBK.

this show, the 800th show, that was surpose to be good doesnt get a good rating from me.  i have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars.  Now that 3 is bordering between 2.5 and 3, but it could have been worse so i would stick with the 3. poor show this week, but i hope it does better next week!

that is my rating for Raw, but what is yours?

    Raw's Revenge 9/15/08

Welcome again to "Raw's Revenge" where i talk briefly about Raw, give my thoughts, and also give a rating.  Raw started off with the steel cage match for the world heavyweight championship.  now i was surprised that it started at the beginning, but after watching the end of Raw, it makes sense.  this steel cage match was, in my mind, a classic match.  look at this!  in the match, both tried to score a pinfall, had submission moves, tried to escape the door, and try to go over the cage.  having those scenerios, makes this a old style classic match.  i thought this match wouldn't be good since it was at the beginning, but WWE proved me wrong.  i actually thought this match was very good.  A classic style match, and you factor Y2J and Punk, and you get some great moves. the ending moments were well thought out. With Punk nailing Chris' head into the steel and then falling out was something that no other match ended with. i think that was the highlight match of the night.

besides that one, really Raw wasn't that good. the other matches were alright. they werent anything special.  their were some funny segment in the show though that made it more interesting. Jillian coming out singing was a great, funny moment. also, the santino, Beth, Randy, and JBL in-ring promo was great. Santino always makes me laugh no matter how dumb he may sound.

the kane and Rey match was getting well at the end, but Evan bourne had to come in and ruin the match. i was getting really into it and all of a sudden, the match stops.

the other highlight was the ending of Raw. now HBK is facing Y2J in a ladder match.  now i am saying this is a death match for Shawn Michaels.  look, shawn is in a point in his life that he cant be fighting in this match. he had multiple injuries from his back, knee, arm, and so many more.  i would LOVE to see him win the title, but i dont think its going to happen. one wrong move, one wrong fall, one wrong match, could end up a huge diaster for him that would send him to retirement. i hate to say that, but its true.  Shawn is putting to much into this and really needs to take a look at what he is doing.  i just hope HBK doesnt do anything he regrets, but i hope he makes it an award-winning match.  we will have to see how all of this unfolds, but for this week, i give the show a 3.5 star out of 5. that is my rating, what is yours?
