It's Raw Revenge time. That's right, Raw was yesterday which means it's time to hear my thoughts and rating for it. Now I have a bone to pick with Stephanie McMahon. Well first, she had the Raw forum. I liked this segment very much. The superstars asked questions that I wanted her to answer. The "where's Mr. McMahon at" question was good and so was the "Cena's title match". Unfortunately, I didn't like her answers because they weren't true. But first of all, there must be a McMahon storyline because when Steph answered the question, her eyes shifted another direction like she was hiding something about Vince. I don't know if I am thinking too much or if anyone else saw that, but it may be a clue. For the record, her one answer was wrong. I know it's all scripted and is all a storyline, but she said Cena was the top contender. NO HE WASN'T! His last match was at Summerslam. He wasn't even facing for the title, he was facing Batista. And worse, he lost that match! You do not know how angry I am with this. You can't change my opinion and there is nothing you can say about why Cena deserves the title. Tune in this weekend for "My Famous PPV Predictions" blog where I talk more about this match.
Santino's rapping was very good and I couldn't stop laughing. The Matches they had weren't the best but were alright. Usually I have a favorite match, but I didn't this week. The two tag team matches, JBL and Kane vs. Cryme Time, and Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels vs. John Morrison and The Miz, were exciting matches but weren't the most exciting matches I saw this month. The Rey and HBK tag match was better than the other one, I think, and it probably ended the most unpredictable way. I never thought Morrison would come in. I saw HBK hit Miz with the superkick and I knew it was going to be over but then John did the same thing to HBK, I think it was even better than Shawn's kick, and got the "didn't see that coming win". I was surprised that Matt Hardy fought as I heard he was pretty banged up. The diva's title was pretty good, but I would of liked to see Victoria win. What I didn't get was when Steph announced a Hall of Famer. I mean I think it was nice and respectful but I don't see how it fits in this the spot they put it in.
The Lumberjack match was a classic style Lumberjack match. What I mean classic by is, it had superstars all throughout the outside, it had both stars getting thrown to the outside, both of the stars got beat up on the outside. At first, the match was boring but then it got more exciting and pretty good. it wasn't the best lumberjack match I saw but good for this show. I ABSOLUTLY saw the ending coming. There was no doubt in my mind that it was going to happen. You could pretty much make a conclusion with how many times King, Cole, Chris Jericho, and Stephanie said it would be total chaos.
Overall: Raw was pretty interesting but not the action I was looking for. It could have been more exciting but I was glad to see Stephanie on the show again. It seemed like there was more talking then action on Raw yesterday. I am giving Raw 3.5 out of 5 stars. Last week I gave Raw a 4 but this is a low, low 3.5 or may be very high 3, whatever you want to think about it as. The only thing that made it a 3.5 is because of Santino's rapping and seeing Stephanie again! That's my rating, what's yours?
Wow, look at the date. its 11/11, haha. anyway, welcome again to "Raw's Revenge" where i talk about the main points of Raw, give my thoughts and give a rating for the show.
for the first time in awhile i was eger to see Raw as last week was a great show. now on Raw, we saw Batista come out and wanted a rematch. yada, yada, he didnt get it as Stephanie McMahon came on the titan tron. she said its a new era on Raw. now i dont know what that era is just yet but it looks to be somewhat interesting. Steph said we have to focus on the new and get rid of the old. i think some of that is referring to the old WWE, like the attitude era, as so many fans want that back. i agree that he have to look at the new.
i was surprised that matches she announced. i didnt think we would have two stipulation matches on Raw. i was demanding WWE to do that for some time now and i guess they finally listened. the kane vs. Ray match was good. i would have liked to see them use a chair or a table but i was fine with the match. i just think they should have Kane be a main event star in the WWE.
the Santino vs. William Regal match was shocking. i never saw him winning the title. it was pretty obvious as he was in his home town. i would of liked to see a longer match but the outcome was shocking and that is what i like!
the Last Man standing match was interesting, to say the least. in the middle of the match, where they were up on the entrance ramp and stage, i was just thinking this match was a joke. i mean the referee was counting every two minutes for a 10 count and then when they beat each other up, it looked cheap. Shawn through Jericho in a plastic bin and then on the top of the car which easlier looked plastic and then with that camera prop. it looked very cheap. i was looking for the chairs and ladders and especially the tables and they gave it to me. they brought in the ladder and went through a table. with that being said, i was happy with the match as they finally gave the weapons a job. the next thing i want know is blood from those matches so lets see if WWE could work something out with that. overall this match was entertaining and that is the main point here.
i would have liked to see the Batista vs. Rany Orton match but we never saw it. i still hope WWE makes that match and it doesnt have any interferance and has a good win. i would love to see this match. that is really the main points for Raw's show last nigh. i give it a 4 out of 5 star. it was down from last week as i gave it a 4.5 out of 5 but remember that was a 3 hour Raw. that's my rating, what's yours?
With an absence of "Raw's Revenge" last week, I am here to bring it to all of you today as we had a RAW that no one will ever soon forget. Now I was very excited for RAW last night for a number of reasons. One reason was Stephanie and Shane McMahon being on. We haven't seen them for such a long time and I wanted to see what they had to say concerning Randy Orton. We saw them all throughout the night which made the show better. The biggest shocker of the night had to be Mike Adamlie resigning. I NEVER saw this happening. Personally, I liked Adamlie. He was new and different. I didn't know where his character was really going but I knew that he was more of a middle person. He did mess up with words and being on stage for announcements but I didn't mine that. The question I have now is who is going to be the new GM. Did you notice when Mike was talking to Stephanie and told her that she was running everyone, he didn't mess up at all. He talked at the right speed, didn't miss any words and he went through it thoroughly. I thought that was very surprising.
I was glad to see Mae Young on RAW. Anytime a legend or a star from the past comes to a WWE show again, it always makes it better. I was just disappointed that she lost.
The funniest part was probably when the full moon came out. You probably know what I am talking about. This segment was when all the amusing and different characters came out and danced in the ring. We had Kung-Fu-Nakie, Boogeyman, Hornswoggle, Goldust, and a lot of others that really made it a great time.
I liked where WWE took a look at the past RAW's and had video segments of it. I knew this was going to happen but I wasn't sure which they would pick. The parts they picked were great but I thought they did too much during the past 2 years. They did a lot in 2008 and did some of them in 2007. I think they did this to show WWE fans that the best parts happened recently and we didn't acknowledge it. I would have picked parts from the attitude era and matches that were great like Shawn Michaels vs. HHH for the world title around 2003. That match was the best match I ever saw on RAW. I saw others from DVD's but that was the best one LIVE.
The Steel Cage match surprised me a lot. I first thought it would be terrible because they used a steel cage match 2 months ago with Chris Jericho vs. C.M. Punk for the world title. I would have liked WWE to have a ladder match on RAW as we don't really have ladder matches too much and we haven't had one on RAW for YEARS. But as I look at it now, I am not complaining. This Steel Cage match was great. It exceeded my expectations. I didn't see Jericho winning at all but when I saw him on the other side of the cage and when he was kicking Batista's legs on that side, I knew he had the best change, and he did. I wander why Batista only got a week with the title? I don't know but I didn't think he should have won it in the first place then.
The worst part of the night that almost made me sick was when Shane announced that John Cena would get a title shot at Survivor Series. Why should he get it if he never had it when he was injured? He lost against Batista at Summerslam so he should be on the bottom ladder. He should earn his title shot, not just hand him it. There are so many other stars like Rey Mysterio, Kane, Shawn Michaels, and C.M. Punk who should get a title shot before Cena. It just made me very angry as I don't see one reason why he should get the title again.
This RAW was a great show that I won't forget anytime soon. I have to give RAW a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It had amazing matches that had so much action; it had Shane, a new champion, a steel cage match, and vintage RAW segments. Now we just need every show like this, but where is Vince? That's my rating, what's yours?
What time is it? It's "Raw's Revenge" time. Getting more popular every week, it's an all in one review. Now I was extremely disappointed with Raw. Last night's show was one of the least action packed wrestling shows I've seen, honestly. Maybe I am being too harsh or over exaggeration, but it was terrible.
Now I was surprised when Raw first came on. It started right away with a divas match. Last week the divas didn't have their own match, which got a bad review from me, but now they had it and it had some good action. They put on some great moves, so I have to say this was probably Raw's second best match this week.
I just can't tell you what I thought of Raw's matches. Really it wasn't the matches but the action. The ECW/RAW match disappointed me. I was expecting a great tag team contest right here. it wasn't. Kofi Kingston wrestled pretty much the whole time and when he was in the ring, it made the match drag on. He was just getting manhandled in the ring. The only entertaining part of the match, in my mind, was when Kofi tagged in Punk. When he came in, he was hitting Morrison and The Miz with Kicks, front punches, and backhands. He was going crazy. Punk didn't stay in long but the ending was well planned. The Miz tagged John and got the school boy on Punk after the GTF. I never saw it coming, which is what I wanted.
On the bright side, the main event was particularly different. Adamlie said it was going to be unpredictable, it was! I didn't know who the stars were going to be in the match, which made it exciting as I didn't know what was going to happen next. I figured out that Kane was going to be the last person as he haven't seen him at all during the show and I knew he was going to be part of something as he is wrestling at Cyber Sunday. William Regal didn't last long, I didn't expect him to, but Mark and Kane did last longer. Overall, I didn't know who would win, Batista did, but it was exciting.
The BEST part of the night was the comedy. Now I say time after time again that Raw is not a comedy act. Certainly, I am happy they had the comedy because that made Raw better. If they didn't have the comedy, Raw would have been the worst show I had ever seen in professional wrestling. The comedy I am talking about is Santino, Beth, and Hackshaw. Santino was dressed up just like Rowdy Piper, had the hair and guitar of Honky Tonk Man, and had the face of Goldust. The jokes that Santino made about those stars just made the whole show. I loved it. Then Hackshaw Jim Duggan came out and started to confront Santino. Both insulted each other back and forth. What was really funny was Hackshaw calling Beth Santino's Boyfriend. Then he called her tough guy (haha, funny stuff). But all of a sudden, Santino SMASHES Jim with the guitar (who does Santino think he is? Jeff Jarret?!). I always love Santino coming out because I know he will do some insane funny jokes.
To tell you the truth, the comedy MADE Raw. If it wasn't for the comedy, then Raw wouldn't get the rating I am giving them. With the comedy, it is higher. The rating I give Raw this week is a 3 out of 5 star. 3 may sound good but it's on the border line between 2.5 and 3. Raw NEEDS to be good next week and if they don't, then I won't be watching Raw anymore. Really, with this kind of show it's wasting my time. Also to make note, this was Raw right before a PPV! The shows before the PPV are always the last chance to gain the audience. It didn't gain me and I don't think it gained anyone. That's my rating, what yours?
