its time again for my infamous smackdown recap. now as smackdown went on air tonight i was alittle nervous that the show was going to be like raw this past monday, boring. so i was excited to see what vicki was going to do next, and as soon as smackdown started, vicki was on the air so i knew it was going to start with a bang. she talked about her being under edge's control and that what you saw her do the past couple of months was not her. overall it was a good speech and i did believe her. in fact over the past couple of weeks, i started to turn into a vicki fan. yes its true. if u look at it, she is one of the best smackdown GM's ever. after she came on, the first match aired.
this match was maria vs natalyia in one on one action. now this match was pretty good and maria was in control of the match, but marysee had to come out and ruin the ending. even though maria was in control, i dont think she was going to win.
after that was a wwe championship scramble. it was MVP vs festus. now this match was pretty good. i knew MVP was going to win, but i didnt think that he will have a major title shot at this moment. overall, MVP won with a cleaver win as kicking jesse in the face and festus went to the aid of his partner and having him counted out.
the next match was also a qualifier for the scramble as shelton benjamin went against finlay. now this was, in my mind, a physical matchup. both of these stars put up a great fight. benjamin, in my opinion, is the future in this business and i am glad to see that wwe is using him to his fulliest right now. shelton always puts up a great fight and is so athletic. with benjamin winning, i knew that he would put on a great championship scramble.
the other match that happened tonight was the 10 man battle royal. now i love these kind off matches. i didnt think that big show would come in and destroy the whole match as this match was designed for mid-card stars. all of these stars in there usually dont get much match time and being in this match really gave them some time that they deserve. i think that this match was kind off a throw away match with the stars, but really i dont care. big show came in, threw almost everyone out, and left. but what he didnt know was THE BRIAN KENDRICK didnt hit the floor so he was still in the match. i am starting to be a brian kendrick fan. really he has improved so much every since the draft. i am a fan of him now even though he is a heal. i know that he is a star of the future. i think it is early for him going for the wwe title, but i would love him to win it, but i no that wouldnt happen. he has a great skill and all around great attitude for the fans. the WWE actually did a great job splitting him up with paul london.
now its the main event of the evening, and i have to say that it was a shocker. i love the work of jeff hardy. i dont like the work of the great khali as he cant wrestle. i thought that khali would be in the scramble and face for the title again like at summerslam. now how can u tell me that at the biggest party of the summer, you have the great khali fighting for the title where he cant wrestle at all, and then at unforgiven, he isnt fighting for the title? i dont get what the wwe did there, but i am sure glad that he isnt in the title picture. i am surprised that jeff won, and i think that the match was unforgiven will be great.
the ending was a great ending for me. i like any part with vicki in it. she really made smackdown number 1 and interesting for me. when she begged the undertaker to forgive her, i really wanted him to as i didnt want to see vicki to get hurt, but also i dont like la familia and i want them to get beat up and that is actually what happened. now i am going to smackdown/ecw next week and i cant wait to see what is instore for vicki. i hope nothing bad, but also i am glad to see the undertaker back where he belongs on Smackdown.
this is another edition of "my infamous smackdown recap". so ladies and gentlemen, sit back and relax as i take you on a ride of your live.
as smackdown went on air tonight, i just hoped that it was going to be better than last week. as i now look at it, it was really the same. as the first match went on between jeff and benjamin, i knew it was going to be a great fight. with seeing the same match last week, i knew it was going to be good and it was. as it was for the u.s. title, i knew it was going to be better than last week. both gave it there all, but at the end, MVP has to come in the match again and ruin the all thing. it is good for the storyline purpose but not for the match. i mean come on, let them tear the house down for ones and get a real winner. honestly i would love them to fight again, with no one interfering, and be for the title. i could only wish that them two be in a ladder match. both of them with their ability, could really put on a show.
now the tag team diva match was okay. i am not really impressed with the divas that much recently. really they need to put on better matches and so on. it would be really nice to see a great diva match once in awhile.
now this is what i am really happy about. i loved seeing triple h back wrestling. i havent seen him wrestle for more than a month. he has been in that arm wrestling match, but really that isnt a match. the HHH and kenny match was pretty good. i would have liked it to be longer but what can u do?!
we have seen two new stars make their debut on smackdown tonight. one was scotty goldman vs. brain kendrick. now i see brian being a star in the making. he was the total package. the attitude, the charisma, the personality and the wresltling. i see him being in the main event in his future. it may be awhile but he will be there.
the other new star was ryan braddock vs big show. i really dont know ryan to much but he may make it in the wwe. really u cant tell when they wrestle the big show. but ultimately, the big show won with no problem.
the festus and kozlov match, i think, was really good. this match is a perfect example of two great heavyweights that go wild and face each other in a match. this was a match that i would like to see another one of. good match!
the storyline with edge and vicki, i think, is getting better and better! now edge is a maniac, he is just tormenting vicki to almost like you were the one in her shoes and you felt what she was going through. i just cant wait for the hell in the cell match this sunday. i know its going to be historic. Edge is just getting very crazy who knows what else he is going to do.
my last word, was almost like the show last week, so nothing to cmplain and nothing to brag about!
this is another addition of "my infamous smackdown recap". so ladies and gentlemen, sit back and relax as i take you on a ride of your live.
as i sat down and watches smackdown with my left over hot sizzling steak from "Apple Bees" i thought i was going to be a great night.
as smackdown came on air tonight, i was happy and excited to see what was going to happan tonight. i saw tazz on there announcing with JR, i knew i may see that more often. so i tried to listen to how they connect and see how the show goes with them two. i like tazz as an announcer. when he was first on smackdown he was really good so i knew what he would bring to the table.
now for the arm wrestling contest, i liked it, but i thought it was original. every time there is an arm wrestling contes, it always ends with someone hitting someone else. using the glass to be apart of it, was good and more exciting but still they didnt have it in affect.
for the matches that went on, the jeff hardy and sheltom benjamin match was the best match all night. every time these stars are in a match, i know it would be a very good, phyicial match with a lot of high flying and agressive moves. i really liked thes to facing and they can put on a whole show by themselves. i would love to see more matches between them. i think the jeff is better as a mid card simply of how he wrestles and his style. i like him as a main event but is better and puts on a better match with mid cards. just too bad that MVP had to come in and ruin it, i would have loved to see who would have won that match.
the whole show was not up to my standards tonight. the matches were pretty boring except the hardy and benjamin match. the ending on smackdown was great tho. when everyone was knocked out and had roses beside them, i thought to myself that edge did it and he actually did. at the end when he was talking to vicki, edge just acted really weird, but i liked it. his face looked very crazy and strange, and now more than ever i cant wait to see him agianst taker at summerslam.
overall i liked the show, but it was boring. could be better but it could be worse too.
i see that everyone writes about smackdown here on the blogs, thats why i am making mine different. i give my opinion and the results and much more, so lets get started.
first, i would like to say that smackdown was guite interesting this week. the part i liked on smackdown was the beginning. every week on raw and smackdown starts with talking but this week, they didnt. they started right into action with MVP vs. jimmy wang yang. for this being the first match, i liked it. it wasnt to long, but it was good for the type. jeff hardy came in at the end and talked to MVP. he was serious and i dont blame him. last week MVP talked about jeff's house that got burned down, his dog, and avout the suspension that jeff had to serve. this week, jeff got MVP back with a twist of fate and having MVP laying down in the middle of the ring. the result of the match was MVP winning.
next match was mr. kennedy vs. the gold standard and the us champion shelton benjamin. i thought this was a great battle, and these two stars are the future of the wwe and can put on pretty good matches. the winner was kennedy with a mic check but it was not for the title.
the third match of the night was the brian kendrick vs. stevie richards. this bout was a good match. i like the work of the brian kendrick each and every week. he improves in the ring every time he stands in it. he reminds me of a cocky shawn michaels or brian phillman. I know that the brian kendrick will be a great asset in this business and so for for his character change, he is undefeted. i will like to see what he pulls out next. even tho he says that he doesnt like the fans and never did, i still like his work. the winner was of course the brian kendrick!
the great khali vs. jeff hardy match was actually not bad. i like the risk taker, jeff hardy, and he makes almost every match interesting. he took some bumps and bruises in this match, but it didnt turn out in his favor. with them encountering earlier, MVP came down to the ring in this match and distracted jeff so the great khali, who is the number one contendor of the wwe title at summerslam, one this match. khali is one more step to becoming champion after man-handling jeff hardy!
the divas werent left out of smackdown this week as maria made her smackdown debut. maria went against victoria. with her smackdown debut on the line, did maria win? yes she did. she beat victoria 1,2,3 in the middle of the ring. great job for maria but i am sorry for victoria.
the last match was big show against domino in a one fall to the contest. big show got an easy win of domino with a huge, distructive chokeslam.
the ending of the show was a special cutting edge with a special guest. and the specail guest was...... none other than the hardcore lagend. edge wanted to team up with mick and together they could get the undertaker in the hell in the cell match at summerslam. with the famous hell in the cell match 10 years ago that featured undertaker and mankind. edge told mick that he knows he has a grudge against taker for that match and he wants to get back at him. foley responded by saying that edge needs the help from edge. edge needs to find the daring, destructive, and violent match that used to be edge. edge getting feed up and getting flustered, beat mick to a pulp by hitting him with a microphone, speared him and from that mick hit his head of the steel stairs, and if that is not bad already, edge put mick right throw a table by jumping off the ladder. edge must have found his violent side or does he need to find someone else to help him. we shall see!
thanks everyone for reading and please comment. good bye everyone!
i know this is alittle late but i decided to write it. i thought smackdown was pretty good this week. my favorite and the best match was the battle royal. i now think that smackdown is better than raw 100%. each week smackdown has more surprising segments and endings than raw. i cant believe that the great khali is fighting for the title. he cant wrestle. he cant move around in the ring. any match he is in, is the worst match, except the battle royal on SD. i have to cheer for vicki now. i am defiently on her side. bringing the undertaker back, is judt the best move and defiaying edge as now he has to fight taker in taker's match. vicki laughing at the end of the show, was good, brilliant and just made it right. good show but great ending. never saw it coming and i glad it happened!
