With an absence of "Raw's Revenge" last week, I am here to bring it to all of you today as we had a RAW that no one will ever soon forget. Now I was very excited for RAW last night for a number of reasons. One reason was Stephanie and Shane McMahon being on. We haven't seen them for such a long time and I wanted to see what they had to say concerning Randy Orton. We saw them all throughout the night which made the show better. The biggest shocker of the night had to be Mike Adamlie resigning. I NEVER saw this happening. Personally, I liked Adamlie. He was new and different. I didn't know where his character was really going but I knew that he was more of a middle person. He did mess up with words and being on stage for announcements but I didn't mine that. The question I have now is who is going to be the new GM. Did you notice when Mike was talking to Stephanie and told her that she was running everyone, he didn't mess up at all. He talked at the right speed, didn't miss any words and he went through it thoroughly. I thought that was very surprising.
I was glad to see Mae Young on RAW. Anytime a legend or a star from the past comes to a WWE show again, it always makes it better. I was just disappointed that she lost.
The funniest part was probably when the full moon came out. You probably know what I am talking about. This segment was when all the amusing and different characters came out and danced in the ring. We had Kung-Fu-Nakie, Boogeyman, Hornswoggle, Goldust, and a lot of others that really made it a great time.
I liked where WWE took a look at the past RAW's and had video segments of it. I knew this was going to happen but I wasn't sure which they would pick. The parts they picked were great but I thought they did too much during the past 2 years. They did a lot in 2008 and did some of them in 2007. I think they did this to show WWE fans that the best parts happened recently and we didn't acknowledge it. I would have picked parts from the attitude era and matches that were great like Shawn Michaels vs. HHH for the world title around 2003. That match was the best match I ever saw on RAW. I saw others from DVD's but that was the best one LIVE.
The Steel Cage match surprised me a lot. I first thought it would be terrible because they used a steel cage match 2 months ago with Chris Jericho vs. C.M. Punk for the world title. I would have liked WWE to have a ladder match on RAW as we don't really have ladder matches too much and we haven't had one on RAW for YEARS. But as I look at it now, I am not complaining. This Steel Cage match was great. It exceeded my expectations. I didn't see Jericho winning at all but when I saw him on the other side of the cage and when he was kicking Batista's legs on that side, I knew he had the best change, and he did. I wander why Batista only got a week with the title? I don't know but I didn't think he should have won it in the first place then.
The worst part of the night that almost made me sick was when Shane announced that John Cena would get a title shot at Survivor Series. Why should he get it if he never had it when he was injured? He lost against Batista at Summerslam so he should be on the bottom ladder. He should earn his title shot, not just hand him it. There are so many other stars like Rey Mysterio, Kane, Shawn Michaels, and C.M. Punk who should get a title shot before Cena. It just made me very angry as I don't see one reason why he should get the title again.
This RAW was a great show that I won't forget anytime soon. I have to give RAW a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It had amazing matches that had so much action; it had Shane, a new champion, a steel cage match, and vintage RAW segments. Now we just need every show like this, but where is Vince? That's my rating, what's yours?
