hi everyone here on fan nation, this is a special edtion of "My infamous smackdown recap" because on this smackdown show, not only did i watch it on tv, but i went to the event. so i am going to tell you the recap, the matches, my thoughts and matches that you missed. so lets begin.
the show started out with something very good. the undertaker came out first thing and actually talked to the fans. he said in his mean, dark, deep voice that he is not a forgiving person and that he will get vickie's soul. i am very excited about this rivalry and like it very much as it kept me on my feet, and really wanted me to see what was coming next. at the end of taker talking, he light the ring post on fire. that was just awsome to see on tv, but more awsome to see in person. as taker left, they showed vickie in her office and all of la famila leaving. they didnt show that at the show so i was happy so see that.
R-truth made his smackdown debut on this episode and really he didnt impress me at all. i saw him wrestle in TNA before and really he is almost the same now than when he was then. he faced kenny dykstra in an one on one match. this was an okay match. nothing special but i think that the wwe is trying to build kenny up and giving him more of a push. i do believe what kenny said on the mic. he said that WWE should be builing the company around him. i dont believe that part but i do say that if kenny is pushed the right way and is still in WWE, then he is the future of this company. there are so many young stars now, but kenny will be a major star if the wwe does it right. R- Truth won and is undefeated on smackdown.
the diva tag team match was pretty good. it was michelle McCool and Maria vs. Maryse and Natalya. i think that Natalya is the future of the diva, actually the overall division for women in the WWE. she has the total package and will make a name for herself. she did win this match so that means the divas champ lost but it looks like there is a rivalry going on between Maryse and McCool.
we also saw a debut match here tonight for the diva division as Brie Bella faced off against Victoria. now Victioria is a veterian in the diva division and here in WWE, but i think that the WWE isnt using her that well. she is a former womens champ and should be in more matches and not losing all the time. she is easliey able to win the divas title and keep it for a long time. anyway, Brie won this match and made a good debut.
the tag team match of Jesse and Festus vs. curt hawkins and zack ryder. this match certainly didnt last long as the big show interfeared and demolished everyone except festus. big show stated that he should be treated better on smackdown and doesnt ask for anything less.
now onto the jeff and MVP match. this match was certainly good on TV and in an arena. i really liked this match and i think that it stole ths show. this had a great physical match that was back and forth and all over the place. to tell you the truth, i think it was better than summerslam's match between these two men. no one interfeared, expect benjamin at the end but the match was over by then. this was the match of the show as jeff got a win. when i saw that jeff landed on his neck about to do the whisper in the wind, i thought that was it for him. seeing it in person really looked worse than on TV. i thought he may have broken his neck but he was fine. thanks jeff for putting on grear matches.
the main event of the show was the champion vs. champion match as triple h faced the US champ, Shelton Benjamin. this was really a back and forth match. i think that benjamin was in control for most of the match, in my mind. i thought that this was a great contest. it looked better on tv but it was good live. i would see this match again but i didnt like how khali interfeared. but HHH won with his finisher. that may be the same way at the championship scramble, but we will have to wait and see.
what you didnt see on smackdown was our main event of the evening at the event. after the 30 minute match between HHH and benjamin, HHH went on mic and said that he will wrestler slim jim, the great khali, in a Pittsburgh street fight. now i dont like khali's work as he cant really wrestle but i thought it was a pretty good match. there werent any chairs but HHH did get his sledgehammer and hit khali on the back of the head and the game got the win. i am pretty sure that khali was bleeding alittle from that shot. overall, i thought it was a great show and even better event to go to.
the only thing i didnt like was not seeing "The Brian Kendrick" wrestle i am a big fan of him and not seeing him wrestle made me mad. but i know that gives him a better change at winning and wont get to hurt for the championship scramble.
thanks for reading, and please comment and rate it! good bye everyone!!!!!!
