    Hey guys and girls,

    I have added a lot of local wrestling shows to the group calendar. All of them can produce a top quality night of entertainment, so I encourage you to check them out if you are in the area. The calendar is filled up now until the end of May, but if there are any reputable shows that I have missed out, please point it out in the comments or add it yourself.

    You will find a regular blog on this page with a roundup of the news and notes from the UK wrestling scene. Breaking news will also be posted if it is warranted.

    Basically there is a lot to look out for here!

    * MELODY QUITS WRESTLING!

    It is a sad day for WAW/WAWW as Melodi was a great talent and with Britani as the Norfolk Dolls took the wrestling world by storm with offers coming in from all over the world. WAW owner Rick Knight said," Melodi will be a great loss to us, she has a natural talent for wrestling and we had high hopes of the Dolls going to the very top. We wish Melodi all the best in her future projects, she would be welcome back to WAW/WAWW at anytime". Britani, Melodi's tag partner is said to be very upset over losing her friend and partner but will carry on in singles competition.

    About the UK Fans Group

    Saturday, April 19, 2008, 04:07 PM GMT [General]

    This group is for all WWE fans that live in the United Kingdom.

    It should help prove that a substantial percentage of WWE's consumers live in a non-domestic market, and it would make good business sense for WWE to consider us a more prominent part of their business plans.

    For example, in recent years WWE have toured the UK more frequently. This is good.

    However, there is more that WWE can do to cater to us, and I hope this group helps provide WWE with evidence that there is a thriving market here. Whether that is the inclusion of more British wrestlers on their television product, or a major PPV being held on our shores - with any luck this group will help WWE recognise the demand is here, should they figure out the logistics required to supply it.

    Plus it's a great way for fans who live in the same country to interact with each other.
