Jimmy Wang Yang has returned to house shows from suspension, and has been busy jobbing to Brian Kendrick.
Kendrick is apparently turning heel (not on TV yet) and has a new bodyguard billed at over 300 pounds.
In other news: The Hardyz seemed to help ECW ratings, which have been high anyway lately. Their appearances earned ECW a 1.42 Rating, which is very high because you've got to remember when ECW was managing a 1.0.
In a dark match after Raw tapings this week, Batista faced off against CM Punk. Batista got a clean win over Punk after a three count following his trademark spinebuster. This is not at all that upsetting, but fans who attended the event report that CM Punk had to lose in under 1 minute (if the timer exceeded the 1 minute it was only by mere seconds).
A correspondent from sescoops also mentions that Kane got a better pop at the event during their match than CM Punk. During the dark match, fans were also cheering for Batista rather than CM Punk. Earlier on, Batista refused to shake CM Punk's hand and gave him a spinebuster, which would make him lean towards the heelish side in this feud. Also, the taping was in Raleigh, North California, so the cheering for Batista could not be attributed to him playing in his hometown.
GhanaWeb.com has done an article on Kofi Kingston's gimmick yesterday, Kofi is from Ghana but billed as a Jamaican. It accuses writers of WWE billed Kofi as Jamaican because they think Kofi Kingston's home country, Ghana, is a nonentity (nothing of importance) and Jamaica is not.
On 31st August, there is going to be a Raw/SmackDown supershow in St. Louis, MO. Randy Orton is being advertised to appear on that show. However, it is not known if he's going to wrestle or just make an appearance. A factor that is probably pushing this appearance is that St. Louis is Orton's hometown.
