Hey guys and welcome to another review of the WWE's flagship brodcast Monday Night Raw that came to us from Hershey Pennsylvania, and a show that was guest hosted by WWE Hall Of Famer Jessy 'The Body' Ventura, and boy did Jessy do well!, i thought he was a great guest host and he just fitted into the show all evening, lets get down to the review.
We kicked off with a frustrated Randy Orton, demanding Ventura allow him a shot at John Cena's WWE Title (I was like 'PLEASE NOT THIS AGAIN'), however i was pleased to see Ventura deny Orton's request, How good was Ventura on the mic by the way? he has the voice for anything in my opinion and i would have loved him as the full time Raw GM, Ventura gave us a revolution, a revolution i for one wasn't expecting, we would crown a new NO1 Contender tonight for the World Title and the No1 contender would be a superstar who as never held a World Title, this concept intrigued myself and it made me look foward to the rest of the show and i will give my opinion on the new No1 contender at the end of this column.
We then had a few qualifying matches, with winners advancing to the No1 Contender Battle Royal, Kofi Kingston who is on a roll at the moment defeated Dolph Ziggler in a quick but good match to advance- It seems Ziggler is on a downward spiral at the moment and his next 1 on 1 feud for me will either make or break his WWE career.
Next up we got Sheamus who squashed Finlay in a matter of minutes to advance, i really do think Finlay is winding down and i feel his retirement is looming, but Sheamus continued his momentum in this one.
CM Punk, who i think is doing a great job as a heel went up against WWE Champion John Cena for the 1st time on Raw, Punk cut another great straightedge promo to continue his strong heat, this real life gimmick he is portraying on television is working wonders when it comes to his crowd reactions and may it continue!, Punk and Cena's match was match of the night by far, both guys for me have good chemistry and i wouldn't mind a 1 on 1 feud between these two further down the line, Cena picked up the win in a really good match.
MVP, Mark Henry and R-Truth(Who i believe WWE is trying to Push) defeated Chris Masters, Chavo and Jack Swagger in an uneventful contest, all 3 qualified for the battle royal, my downpoints in this one are: Why are MVP and Jack Swagger not being pushed, they seem as if they are going nowhere especially MVP, i do have hope for Swagger when it comes to creative but i just cant see where MVP is going.
WWE creative had the perfect opportunity here with DX to create tension between the two after Survivor Series, i only hope they are waiting to give us a HHH V HBK feud for Wrestlemania 26 and thats why nothing has continued so far with any tension between the two, i am very disgruntled with this whole Hornswoggle/Little Court People/DX thing we are going to get on Raw next week, i have no interest in this wotsoever on a PG rating show, back in the attitude days with DX this would have likely rocked but this Monday i reckon it will suck and for me it is to just entertain children, on the plus side DX beat Hart Dynasty on Raw in a good match - I wish we could get to see The Hart Dynasty with more mic time to get them over more and we now know it will be Jeri/Show v DX in a TLC match for the tag titles at the next PPV which is fine.
Maryse is back (WHOOOOOHOOOOO) thats all i can say about the Divas segment on Raw.
Legacy beat Cryme Tyme to qualify for the battle royal, i am pretty unhappy with the way Legacy are being used at the moment, they have lost momentum and ill get onto this at the end of the column.
Batista looks set to challenge Undertaker for the World Title shortly, do you not think it is too early for these two go at this early?
And finally we had the battle royal, all night i was going with a Ted Dibiase win, as his new movie is coming out and this would annoy Orton even more if this happened, but again NO!!! Legacy were elimanated from the battle royal and werent seen again on the show, this really disappointed me, i want Legacy especially Dibiase pushed as i think he could become a really big babyface in the business, but it wasnt to be, and the CELTIC WARRIOR Sheamus won the Battle Royal and now Sheamus is the No 1 contender for the WWE Title!, my opinion on this is that it is far to early to give Sheamus this push, he was coming along nicely but as he is now going head to head with Cena at TLC this could actually ruin him as a genuine contender as their is no way Cena is dropping the title to Sheamus, so for me WWE has taken a gamble here i hope Sheamus and creative prove me wrong and this works but it has the makings of either a CELTIC RISING or THE breaking of Sheamus, the table bump at the end of Raw was fine but nothing great.
Overall a decent Raw, nothing spectacular but it could have been a lot better for a 3 hour show, so i would give this one a 6.5 out of 10.
As always i would like your thought's on this column.
Hey Guys and welcome to my review of last nights 23rd annual Survivor Series that came to us from Washington D.C, it was a solid decent wrestling show that gave us some great wrestling, lets get down to the review.
I didnt get a chance to give my predictions on last nights show, so as i go down the matches ill tell you if my intial predictions were right or wrong.
We kicked off with a solid 5 on 5 traditional Survivor Series match, between Team Miz and Team Morrison, i thought this match just flowed, and it showcased the talents of the future WWE stars, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus continued to shine and every week these guys are getting better and better, i was surprised Ziggler was elimanated so quickly, something tells me that his push may be over but we will just have to wait and see, my original prediction was a win for Team Morrison, so i was wrong on this one as Miz, Sheamus and McIntyre were the sole survivors, i thought after Miz beat Morrison last months at Bragging Rights that Morrison would win, but it actually makes sense for Miz's team to win as Sheamus and McIntyre are being pushed my management so this win continues their momentum, Morrison will surely get revenge over Miz and that just may happen tonight on the live 3 hour Raw.
Next up we had a short and decent contest between Batista and Rey Mysterio, my prediction beforehand was a Batista win and a complete Rey Mysterio beating, and all of this happened after Batista hit Rey with 3 Batista bombs, Rey sold his beating very well and it made Batista's new heel character a solid success so far, their is no doubt this feud will continue and i hope it does as it has been enjoyable on Smackdown!
Next up we got another good solid traditional Survivor Series match between Team Orton and Team Kingston, kudos to Randy Orton again here for putting Kofi over so brilliantly, its only a matter of time though before Orton gets sweet revenge for Kofi punishing him in recent weeks, my prediction beforehand was a win for Team Orton, so again i called this one wrong, but i was happy with Kofi winning, he is on a roll at the moment and i cant wait to see Orton and Kofi go at it One on One in the near future, the match was also good and once again we saw solid wrestling, my only downpoint point here was that Ted Dibiase was sent packing so early in this one, i thought when Orton and Dibiase were sort of angering each other that it was only a matter of time before Dibiase got a solid push, so maybe WWE are putting this on the backburner for the time being.
Next up we got the triple threat match for The World Title, between Jeri/Show and The Undertaker, beforehand my prediction was an Undertaker win and i wasnt surprised with this outcome, the match at times was a bit slow and sluggish but towards the end it started to get better, its time to see Jeri/Show go back to defending their tag titles and i reckon Undertaker will move on to TLC where he will defend against CM PUNK.
We then got a another good divas Survivor Series match, most of the divas in this match put on a really good match, Kelly Kelly looked impressive as did Melina and Mickie James, and it was also good to see Michelle McCool get a good amount of ring time as even though she is champion we havent saw her compete that much, my prediction beforehand was a Team James win as the way Mickie has been treated on Smackdown recently her team had to get the win last night.
And finally the main event between DX and John Cena for the WWE Title, this match was very good, it had the making of a good match as soon as HBK took out The Game with some sweet chin music right at the start, i knew DX would come to blows but i did not expect HBK to do that at the beginning, it was a shock and a great way to kick things off, Triple H took 3 sweet chin musics last night and i cant wait to see what his reaction will be tonight on Raw, are we ready to see the split of DX? should be interesting viewing, my prediction beforehand was a John Cena win as his title reign only began last month so their was no way he was losing, overall a very good match and hopefully we see a good Raw this evening to see what happens next with the WWE Title.
Overall a solid Survivor Series, with good wrestling through out and i would give it a solid 7/10.
As always i would like your thoughts on this blog.

Hey guys and welcome to my review of last nights Smackdown that aired from Philidelphia Pennsylvania, now i enjoyed Raw this week but after watching last nights Smackdown i thought the show was overall a better one and it was a show that i actually enjoyed immensely from start to finish, lets get down to the review.
Batista kicked us off with a match against Matt Hardy, Batista's new heel character is exactly what this man needed, he seems more focused and dangerous and i am enjoying his new character, last night he got a good victory over Hardy that he needed to give him momentum going into the Survivor Series, it was a decent match and my only downside is that Matt Hardy seems to be going nowhere at the moment, hopefully after Survivor Series Hardy will start a program with John Morrison over the IC Title.
Next up we got my fellow Scot Drew Mcintyre going up against Finlay, i am all for McIntyre i really think he has the potential to go places and these mini feuds he has been having with R-Truth and Finlay i am completely fine with, however it seems that Finlays career may be winding down after he lost last night to McIntyre, but i will have no problem with this feud continuing as if you give this match time it will shine.
What a great segment with CM Punk, this guy just flourishes as a heel, last night he cut a first class promo about his straightedge lifestyle, and when he introduced the cigarettes, the drugs and the alcohol it made for tremendous heat, and with R-Truth coming out and tipping the trashcan with all the subatances in it onto Punk it just made this promo even better, Punk and R-Truth's little feud is working well and once again i have no problem with this.
What an exceptional 2 out of 3 falls match between John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler, it was a quick match but i thought the match was excellent, it was fast paced most of the time and i just thought it flowed perfectly, and these two have great chemistry, even though it was a great match it is now time for these two guys after Survivor Series to move on to fresh feuds.
Mickie James beat Layla in a quick match, but i am enjoying the way Mickie is being put down by Michelle McCool and its only a matter of time before Mickie wins back her Womans title, at least on Smackdown we are seeing a womans feud with matches and segments, whereas on Raw their doesnt appear to be any interactions when it comes to womans matches.
I loved Rey Mysterio last night taking out Batista again, he has basically humiliated Batista for the last 2 weeks, and its making this feud even more entertaining, i am expecting a brutal Rey Mysterio beating by Batista this Sunday, but after this Sunday their is no doubt this feud will continue.
By the way if you give Rey Mysterio and Tyson Kidd more match time i am pretty sure that match would be a showstealer.
And the main event was just excellent, it was hard hitting and fast paced and all 4 men worked extremely hard, what an entrance we saw when Taker and Kane were introduced, i liked the way they mixed their theme music and it reminded me of the time when Taker and Kane walked out together for the first time back in 1998 when we were on the Highway to Hell for Summerslam 98, i loved this match and to end it in a no contest makes sense to me, it doesnt hurt anyones credibility and i was happy with the sneaky Jericho running away with Takers title, was a really good way to end Smackdown and it gives this Sundays World Title match at Survivor Series a good feeling, their is no doubt The World Title seems more creditible that the WWE Championship.
Overall an excellent and entertaining SHOWSTEALING Smackdown!
As always i would like your thoughts on this blog and i will be back tommorrow with my Survivor Series predictions.

Hey guys and welcome to another review of last nights LIVE WWE broadcast Monday Night Raw, that came to us for the world reknowned Madison Square Garden, and i have say i really enjoyed the show, it had a big old school feel to it and most of the segments last night were enjoyable and a big shout out to the Madison Square Garden crowd who were hot all night and helped the show out so much, lets get into my thoughts.
The Miz kicked us off with a very well cut promo bashing the New Yorkers and claiming he is once again AWESOME, The Miz has really improved in the past 2 years and he is without a doubt a top heel in my eyes nowadays who will go places just like his old buddy John Morrison on Smackdown will, the Miz got a solid clean victory over poor MVP (this guy is going downhill big time since his move to Raw) and this victory cements the Miz as a decent US Champion, just a pity their was no interactions with Miz last night when it came to Swagger and Bourne so what is happening here?
Now i am not one for liking comedy skits on a supposed wrestling show but i liked Santino Marella and Chavo last night, Marella is very much over as a comedy face but i hope one day he is given the chance to showcase his wrestling talents better as from reports i have read he is a very good wrestler, the skit with all the New York Jerseys he wore was good also, but i have to once again bash WWE for the way Chavo is used, he is a Guerrero for heavens sake he should be at least re-packaged and moved into the US Title hunt.
Now DX last night, now i dont mind them at times, but the plugging of merchandise is beginning to annoy me, last night when HBK once again plugged the book i sort of cringed as i knew it was not needed after all the previous weeks plugging, at least for a short period of time we had HHH talking about the WWE Title match this Sunday which gave it a little bit of meaning, but this segment was more to do with Hornswogge, i dont like Hornswoggle he should not be associated with DX at all especially when they are in the title picture, so to my surprise Triple H done a mini heel turn and pedigreed the leprechaun and hopefully he is gone for good! ( or am i being a little harsh to Hornswoggle?) - NO I AINT!
Melina defeated Alicia Fox last night in a lumberjill match, good to see all the divas on the same show, which i believe should be the case anyway, the divas who are involved in the S.Series match got into a good brawl to make this match a little for meaningful at the PPV, i am just a tad unhappy that once again Alicia Fox was pushed into the title picture but she then lost the match right away again to the champion, either WWE give her the title or remove her from the title picture, its pretty obvious Maryse will return soon to go after Melina and that has the making of a decent diva's feud.
Always great to see The Hot Rod in a WWE ring, he looked good last night and it was good to hear him bring back a few memories, but why all of a sudden did he want to take McMahon out?, their was no build up or genuine motive for this last night, and for me it was a waste of time as their was no interaction again on the rest of the show between Piper and McMahon, my guessing is that McMahon wanted to appear live on the show as it was in MSG and i can understand that, but then again for me this was a pointless segment unless McMahon and Piper are going to build on this.
Sheamus continues his roll as a monster heel by taking out Mark Eaton and Jerry Lawler, the kick to Lawlers face looked really good on TV and i am liking this Sheamus character, although i dont want to see a mini Sheamus/Jerry Lawler feud, but i have a feeling we will see these two battle on Raw next week, but their is only going to be one outcome here.
I would also like to touch on the time keeper Mark Eaton being assaulted by Sheamus, Mark Eaton is a long time WWE Employee and he has taking his fair share of beatings over the years, the one i remembered last night was when Kane tombstoned him on Raw before The Undertaker returned to accept his brothers challenge for Wrestlemania 14, and maybe this was done as WWE creative may be thinking of what happened when Taker and Kane feuded the last time as i really do believe that Kane will turn on Undertaker this week on Smackdown and eventually go after Takers title after Survivor Series.
Jack Swagger v Evan Bourne happened again last night, god have mercy!, why let Evan win last week and then in the space of 1 week put him back down again with a defeat, obviously it gives Swagger a little momentum but with Swagger beating and facing the same guys every week it aint helping him.
Randy Orton came out to confront Piper last night, now Orton was not on the show all night and this was the perfect time to introduce him to the show, he took out Piper and before he could kick Piper in the head Kofi Kingston made the save, and man what a excellent brawl Kofi and Orton had, they battled all over the arena, the crowd was so hot for this segment it helped it even more, the spot where Kofi hit Orton with that steel case actually busted Orton open if you go back and see it again, however after Orton got busted the camera did not go back onto to him again (DAMN YOU PG!) however Kofi's spot through the table onto Orton was great and this feud is beginning to heat up nicely and i am looking extremely foward to see these two going at it very shortly., Kofi must get rid of his theme music though!
Jesse Ventura is the guest host next week on a LIVE 3 hour all brand show!, this should be good, Raw seems to be better when the guest host was an actual wrestler.
And i loved the main event last night, it was fast and action packed and it made Raw deliver last night, once again the crowd were into it big time, all 6 guys gave their all in that match last night and it just made Raw feel like a really big deal last night, it was an old school feel no doubt about it, John Cena got the surprising pinfall over HHH which i did not expect as i see Cena still winning on PPV this Sunday, but it was after the match where business picked up and that was when Undertaker tombstoned John Cena and kneeled over him as Raw went off the air, now for me that last night was the beginning to a Wrestlemania match between John Cena and The Undertaker, whats your thoughts on this and should Cena be the man to end Takers Wrestlemania streak if this does take place at Wrestlemania?- I for one will be very peed off if Cena breaks the streak but its interesting to see where this goes.
Overall i did like Raw last night, even though their was some segments thats didnt make sense, and i hope to come back next week and write a glowing report on the 3 hour Raw next week, well done to th MSG fans who made for a good Raw last night.
As always i would like your thoughts on this blog.
Hey guys, ive had a few messages recently from people who read my blogs and they want to know why i always diss Raw and why i like Smackdown, well here's my views on the matter.
1.Raw only ever has 3 World Championship contenders, John Cena, Triple H and Randy Orton, HBK doesnt want the title so for me their is no point in him being put into the title picture as he aint going to win it, whereas on Smackdown we have at least 5 guys who could be World Champion, Undertaker, Batista, CM Punk, Chris Jericho and Edge, i would even put Kane and Mysterio into that bracket also, look at the guys on Smackdown compared to who we see on Raw, better feuds on Smackdown, better characters, better wrestling, End of.
2. Raws mid card matches on theirs shows consist of Jack Swagger, The Miz, Evan Bourne, MVP and Henry, Yes their is good talent here, but any of these guys feuding with each other does not entertain me, its so stale and boring from time to time, whereas on Smackdown we have John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Matt Hardy, Drew McIntyre, Finlay, once again the blue brand has better characters than Raw, all round longer and better wrestling matches and decent storylines.
3. Moving Beth Phoenix and Mickie James to Smackdown confirms for me now also that Smackdown has the two out of the three best top wrestling divas on their show.
4. RAW has Hornswoggle and Smackdown doesn't
5. Edge will return to Smackdown and not Raw.
6. Smackdown is the wrestling show and Raw is the soap opera who try to put over big stars as guest hosts whilst forgetting to put their wrestlers over.
7. Chris Jericho is still a world tag team champion to help out the Raw brand as it lacks strength in depth, as being tag champion he can appear on every show, thus Raw needs him on their show to help it get by most weeks.
8. RAW for me is more PG than Smackdown is, i know both shows are PG but their is more stuff for kids on Raw and Smackdown is slightly maturer.
Well that is just some of my reasons for not liking Raw and for liking Smackdown.
