    RAW- If Only for Kofi!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 11:16 AM EST [General]

Hey guys, i am not going to write much about last night's Raw as i thought the show was much of a snoozefest, for  me the show lacked and the two guest hosts just didnt do it for me.

I was cringing when the 2 nascar guys got on the mic at the beginning of the show, i was just waiting for a slip up and it happened when one of them introduced Kofi Kingston as Kofi Johnson then in seconds they said Kingston, for me that was poor.

I am also disappointed that Big Show will be Undetakers  next opponent for the World Title, these two were feuding at this time last year and we dont need to see it again this early.

The good point about Raw was Kofi Kingston, he is being pushed and it is deserved, i have no problem with Kofi and Orton starting a feud, its fresh and it can deliver and Kofi done really well last night.

Cena's promo with Legacy was just plain and boring and nothing came of it apart from Cena not giving them a title match, Legacys match with MVP and Mark Henry was ok but again nothing to get me out of my seat.

The intergender tag match was just as i expected it to be, Melina once again pinning Jillian, the same situation as the last 3 Raw's, so for me it was pointless.

Raw's mid card is so under strength, every week its either Miz v Evan Bourne or Swagger v Bourne or Swagger v Primo(which once again will air this week on WWE Superstars) i dont see where this Swagger/MIZ storyline is going as these two guys are heels, the obvious choice will be Evan Bourne entering the picture making it a triple threat for the us title in the weeks to come.

Kofi Kingston defeated Chris Jericho in the match of the night, this was a good way to help Kofi's push although it seems every one on one match Jericho is in recently he is losing, and i dont like that at all.

Sheamus for me is a good wrestler, but he aint over with the audience at all, he should be kept on ECW to evaulate him and give him momentum, you could hear a pin drop in his match with Jamie Noble, i just dont see this Sheamus character doing anything on Raw.

And  the main event we get Triple H defeating Big Show in a ok contest, the lumberjacks made the match more entertaining thats for sure and at the end a triple threat match was made for Survivor Series with Cena/HHH/HBK, this match is ok, but once again HHH is straight into the title picture and that shows Raw is lacking secerley for upper card talent.

Overall a poor Raw in my eyes and i am in no doubt that this week Smackdown will raise the bar again and defeat Raw in terms of entertainment and quality wrestling.

As always your thoughts are appreciated.

    Bragging Rights- DELIVERED!

Monday, October 26, 2009, 01:41 PM EST [General]

Hey Guys and welcome to my review on last night's WWE PPV Bragging Rights which emanated from Pittsburgh PA.

First of all guys you will read my match predictions blog for this PPV which i wrote on Saturday, and you will see that all my predictions were correct, and i am delighted about that.

I want to start of my giving massive thumbs up to John Cena and Randy Orton for a fantastic Iron Man Match, i really enjoyed this match even though i thought i would not, the bumps and the props that were used last night helped this match, it even made the match look like it was a non PG rating and i just wish we could go back to this kinda stuff every PPV, now i havent read any reports on Cena being busted open so if that was planned i am very happy we got some blood last night, if this was planned though i was very unhappy with medics entering the ring to clean him up, imagine that happening to Stone Cold Steve Austin, he would be embarrassed if that was to happen to him, but not taking anything away from the competitors the match delivered and we have a new WWE Champion, and the end of this feud which climaxed superbly, lets hope for a fresh change on the title picture when Raw airs live tonight.

Next up i would like to discuss the fatal 4 way match for the World Title, this was another match that i really enjoyed, it was actually fast paced, with each competitor doing all their trademark moves, it was also good to see Rey Mysterio and Undertkaer going at it as well, i am very unhappy though with the way CM Punk is being treated with managment, with Undertaker winning last night then the aftermath with Rey and Batista it was as if Punk wasnt even in the match, but i was happy with Undertaker retaining i want to see him have the belt for at least 2 months and i think now Undertaker and Punk will continue to do battle into the Survivor Series, now i want to move on to Batista's heel turn!!!!, this was done absolutely brilliantly and this heel turn was long overdue! i loved the way he spoke to Rey, and the way he took him out post match was done perfectly, the animal has needed this character change for a while and this will no doubt help him out and it will bring fresh interest to his character on Smackdown.

The Miz defeated John Morrison in a good match last night also, i dont see this being the end of these two going at it, i think further down the line we will see John Morrison get his revenge, but last night it made sense for The Miz to win as he has only just became the US Champion and Morrison has had his title a little longer, overall a good contest.

I said in my predictions that Beth Phoenix needed momentum as she has just joined Smackdown, and last night she delivered and she made a statement by pinning Melina.

And finally the 7 v 7 match, I am a Smackdown Fan and i was delighted that my brand were victorious over Raw, i have said for months and months on my blog that Smackdown is the better show and i am delighted they got the bragging rights last night, i also said in my predictions that Big Show would do the dirty on Raw and Chris Jericho would pick up the win for the blue team and it happened, my only disappointment about this contest was that Jericho pinned Kofi Kingston, for me the man who should have been pinned last night was Triple H, yes he got knocked out by Big Show but he should have done the generous thing and let Jericho pin him as we all know Jeri/Show and DX are gonna feud over the tag titles next.

Overall guys this was a PPV i really enjoyed it was miles better than Hell In A Cell and i hope WWE can continue this form going into Survivor Series which will mark The Undertakers 19th year anniversary in the WWE.

    BRAGGING RIGHTS DELIVERED!

I would also like your thoughts on this blog as always.

Bragging Rights Predictions And a little Smackdown!

Saturday, October 24, 2009, 04:32 PM EST [General]

Hey Guys and welcome to another one of my weekely blogs, Bragging Rights is this Sunday on PPV and it's an event with a strong card and its an event i am actually looking foward too.

I want to start off this week by talking about last night's Smackdown, i thought this was another solid and entertaining show and i would give this show the bragging rights over Raw this week, i really enjoyed The main event with CM Punk and The Undertaker, and i was really impressed with Scott Armstrong who done a good job with his backstage skits and even when he refereed the main event, i am just waiting for interaction between The Undertaker and Vince McMahon, these two havent been on screen together in a long time but surely the time will come for the deadman to confront the chairman for his dealings with Teddy Long and the referee.

I didnt get to write about Smackdown last week, but i was digusted that Eric Escobar was put into the 7 v 7 match but thankfully last night WWE must have been thinking what i was thinking that the Smackdown team who i think will go over on Sunday night needed to be star studded up a little, dont get me wrong i like Drew McIntyre and thats not because he's a fellow scot, i just think its a bit too early for him to be in this match and Matt Hardy and Finlay and even R-Truth is definetly the better set of talent who should be in the match and i am very happy with that.

Overall a very good Smackdown last night, now onto my predictions for Bragging Rights!

I am going to start off with the fatal 4 way for The World Title, The Undertaker for me deserves a long title reign, so for me it is far to early for the deadman to drop the gold, so tommorrow night at Bragging Rights i see Undertaker successfully defending his title, i also see Batista and Rey Mysterio coming to blows setting up a feud with those two further down the line and i reckon Punk and Taker will continue their feud possibly into Survivor Series.

    Winner- The Undertaker

1 WHOLE HOUR WATCHING THESE TWO- John Cena v Randy Orton, now guys i am a fan of Iron man matches if the superstars in the match could wrestle, Cena for me is ok but he aint great in the ring and all Orton does is stamp, headlock and RKO, so for me if WWE want this match to deliver then something major has to happen in this match or it will be a total flop, for me though their is no way John Cena will leave Raw as Raw already lacks strength in depth for star power, i reckon Ted Dibiase could cost Orton the WWE Title tommorrow night, but no matter what happens for me a new WWE Champion will be crowned tommorrow.

    Winner- John Cena

The Miz will take on an impressive John Morrison tommorrow evening in a match i am really looking foward too, this has the potential to be a show stealer also, its a tough one to pick but i am going to plump for the Miz to get one over his old buddy, the reason being as i reckon Raw will need to get Bragging Rights in this one as the next 2 predictions i make dont favour the Raw side.

    Winner- The Miz

The 6 Diva contest should be short and sweet, Beth Phoenix has just arrived on Smackdown, so i think she needs more momentum than Kelly, Kim and Melina do, so i am going for the Smackdown divas for victory.

    Winners- Smackdown Divas.

And finally the 7 v7 Bragging Right match between Raw and Smackdown, this match should be explosive and i am really looking foward to this also, i really like this concept and i now hope its a yearly thing, the announcers have done their job well also by bragging about their respective brands so its gonna be a good one, well when it comes to my predictions it is very difficult to see a side with DX on it lose but tommorrow i predict that will happen, after this match is over DX will feud with Jericho and Big Show over the tag titles so that gives me one outcome for the match, towards the end Big Show will turn on DX and help Chris Jericho pick up the pinfall on possibly Triple H.

    Winners- Team Smackdown.

Well guys i would like your thoughts on this blog and let me know what you think.

I would like you guys to also check out WWW.WWR.IE, Irelands only weekely radio wrestling show.

    RAW- Dibiase Stole The Show!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009, 03:31 PM EST [General]

Hey guys just a quick blog to inform you all that i enjoyed Raw last night, yes bits were just plain boring and awful, but the majority of the show was enjoyable.

I liked how they builded up the 7 v 7 Tag team match this Sunday on PPV, i thought the interaction of all the superstars involved last night worked really well and the WWE have done well by building this up as to what brand is better, RAW OR SMACKDOWN?

I was slightly gutted that we didnt get to see HBK v Y2J but WWE done well here by not allowing this to happen last night as i believe after the PPV on Sunday, we will see those two along with HHH and Big Show got at it over the tag titles in the next few weeks.

So i am still sticking with my prediction for that tag team match, SMACKDOWN will win when Big Show turns on DX this Sunday and Chris Jericho will pin either member of DX.

Kudos to John Cena and Triple H for working a very good match last night, i had it ending in a no contest all the way so i was surprised HHH got the clean pin, now with HHH getting the clean pin that also makes my mind up that John Cena will regain the WWE Title this Sunday and Cena will definetly not leave Raw, mark my words on that one.

This also may mean that on Sunday, HHH will be pinned in the tag match and Cena will win the title, thats how i see it going.

I liked Snoop Dogg last night also, i however hated the segment with Hornswoggle/Chavo, its just so immature and pure PG nonsense  lol.

The Miz beat Marty Jannetty in a match i have no interest in discussing, really poor segment and nothing i can say good about it apart from i was happy to see that Jannetty is doing well.

Now my segment of the night was Randy Orton defeating Ted Dibiase, this segment was off the charts, Dibiase's reactions were first class, this man has the making to be a main player and its only gonna be a matter of time before he does turn on Orton completely and his full face turn takes effect, he even may be the man to cost Orton his title this Sunday on PPV, You could tell by the reaction Dibiase was getting that the audience are gonna take this potential face turn really well.

Short blog today as i wrote one last night, but Raw was decent going into the PPV and i should be back on Sunday with my Bragging Right predictions.

As also i would like your thoughts on this blog and on Raw.
