    Jeff Hardy May 12th 2009

Friday, May 15, 2009, 02:33 PM EST [General]

    ECW/SUPERSTARS/SMACKDOWN taping 05-12-09 Dayton Ohio

I wanted to write this because not many people in the entertainment news industry point out the good things that some famous people do.  Sometimes even the fans seem to believe they are some how personally involved with the "stars" and spread rumors and half truths.  They fail to remember that these famous individuals are people that have personal lives that can be affected by these false statements.  In the WWE world, it kills me when people believe that the choreographed storylines are true to their real life beings and experiences and spread rumors about having intimate relationships with these performers.  They only wish they could get that lucky.

However, I wanted to take a moment and say something nice about WWE Superstar, Jeff Hardy.

This past Tuesday (May 12, 2009), I attended the ECW/Superstars/Smackdown taping in Dayton, Ohio with family and friends (the Krew).   Dayton does not get the opportunity to host a live WWE event that often, so when my son said he wanted to go for my mother's present, I absolutely said yes.  Plus... I would finally get to see Jeff perform live (which was an added incentive) and get to see first hand how the WWE puts the shows together for television viewing.
I would like to say Thank you to all the WWE Superstars for putting on a GREAT show and we had a BLAST! Everyone around us and that I spoke too had a fun time.

But on this night Jeff would wrestle and win against Ricky Ortiz, have a run in with Edge at the end of the Smackdown taping (I'm not going tell you what happened, but lets just say what a great lead in to Judgment Day), and then in a Dark Steel Cage Match wrestled against Edge for the WHC (which of course Jeff lost, because if he would have won...well I guess we would have no match at Judgment Day).  Everything I watched was classic WWE performance.  The excitement of the crowd every time Jeff Hardy came out was to say the least extreme.  People love him, the fans want to see the character of the "Charismatic Enigma" flying off the top of those ropes, swanton bomb on his opponent.  They crave it. They expect it.  When the cage came out, you just knew that he was going to fly off the top of it, flip into the air and land on is back.  As I watch Jeff, all I could think about was...that has got to hurt.  And it just wasn't the flipping off the ropes, they way he twists and turns his body during his moves is just insane.  I began to wonder...how many Sbombs does he do in a week, a month, a year, the number that ran in my head was staggering...how much can a body take slamming itself on that mat over and over.
After all the matches were done and it was time for the WWE Universe to go home, Jeff Hardy took several minutes after his cage match with Edge, standing in the middle of the ring thanked the crowd...then climbed out of the ring and passed out high fives, shook hands, gave hugs and posed for a few pictures.  He was the only WWE superstar after the event that took a moment of his busy schedule to be with a few of his fans. What Jeff doesn't know is that little girl he hugged called all her friends on "her" cell phone, telling everyone Jeff Hardy hugged her, and that little boy who you spoke with for a moment and gave a high five too... it was all he could talk about leaving the arena.  The excitement of these to kids was overwhelming.  I watched several of these "kids" bounce around their parents, repeating what happened over and over.  Even the lady, that got your sweaty tank top was beaming and laughing about the experience. She explained that she was there because of her husband and son, not really a fan, but had a great time, a new found admiration and was offered $100 bucks for your shirt.

Jeff, you made a second in time a lifetime moment for a few people.

Recently rumors of Jeff Hardy leaving the WWE about being tired, burnt and wanting to explore new career avenues have been circulating the WWE Universe and the media.    Know that Jeff Hardy our "Charismatic Enigma" touches people. To the WWE fans that love him, we see him as the next HBK or reaching the star status of the Undertaker.  And we can't wait for the WHC (hopefully at Judgment Day) to be around his waist. No matter what decision Jeff Hardy makes his true fans will be there with support... sad to see him go and wait for his possible WWE return...until then some of us will spin the sounds of Peroxwhy?gen over the airways so the Jeff Hardy's fans can be apart of the new era.

     #10: Vladimir Kozlov To ECW
     #11: Maryse To RAW
     #12: Rey Mysterio To SmackDown!

    DJ Lacis picks and thoughts:

Best Move: Vladimir Koslov (to ECW)

Most Exciting Move (for me...giggle): Shane Helms (to ECW) it will be nice to see him more in the spotlight..."I'm just saying..." (well with John Morrison's move to SD!, us girls need some eye candy...)

Surprise Move: Jericho to SD! WOW!!! SPEECHLESS!!!

Wanna See More Move: Mr. Kennedy (get well soon and get back here, but whats gonna happen with 2 big mouths on RAW, will we have a battle of words with Cena and Kennedy?)

Best DIVA Move: Natalya, even though this was just a formality, the set up of Natalya, Tyson Kidd and DH Smith, bring the Hart Foundation into the spotlight and we all know how exciting this will be. I really wanted to see Regal to ECW, what a rivalry with the "Jr. Harts" and the "Brits" (the Burchills and Regal), that would be some intense action.

Worst Move: Dolph Ziggler (to SD!)  NEED I SAY MORE, Stop yakin so much and show us some wrestling, he has alot to prove to the WWE Universe, and so far haven't seen it.

Most Disappointing Move: The split of THE MIZ! (to Raw) and John Morrison (to SD!)...I almost cried

Weirdest Move: Festus (to RAW), and a tie with Hornswoggle, Please don't tell me these 2 our future Tag Team partners, but then again how funny would that be!

BAD FOR YOU Move: Mike Knox (to SD!), some one is getting a butt whoopin!! I'd hate to be facing the scary beard. maybe Dolf Ziggler will introduce himself to Mike Knox, and Knox can take him out so we don't have to hear him anymore (LOL).

WTF Move: Pick number 24, the WWE Universe was so expecting a huge move with the last pick and it was Brie Bella....what a let down, nothing against the DIVA but come on WWE, give us something...PLEASE...

Hopefully, with Matt Hardys move to RAW, we will not see a rekindling of the Matt Hardy vs. MVP, it is so over done and we need to move on.
With Matt turning against Jeff (which I hope Jeff whoops him in the upcoming "I QUIT" match at BACKLASH, sorry you know I HAD to put that in there),  I would really like to see Matt in the running for the WWE Title.  Within the last year we really have seen his style change but he needs some new moves to increase the excitement while he is in the ring. Truly hoping to see the Hardys with major titles held at the same time (hey...its my wish).
Backlash!!! John Cena vs. Edge for the World Heavy Weight Championship, can we call this a possible loss for Cena to Edge, and a repeat performance from CM PUNK, punking out Edge AGAIN trying to become champ...
    Or
the belt has to go back to SD!, so does CM PUNK, punk out CENA for the win?
    You make the call...(LOL)

A wonderful and kind man gave this to me...he left our beloved site because the WWE feels that the moderators are taking care of business and he expressed that it wasnt enough and they blew him off.

What Does it Take to be a True Wrestling Fan

To be a true wrestling fan takes more then going to the house shows or watching wrestling on t.v.

To be a true wrestling fan, takes more then the love of the sport. It takes a fan that not only knows the greats and knows the matches the greats have wrestled in.

To be a true wrestling fan, one has to know that while professional wrestling for the most part is "fake" but still loves the sport never the less.

To be a true wrestling fan takes pride in each professional wrestler; that climbs in to the squared circle.

To be a true wrestling fan goes far beyond the sport itself. It goes deep into the wrestling moves, many of which date back to the Roman era.

To be a true wrestling fan, one needs to know that it takes stamina, passion, and the deep desire to put on a good show that they can be proud of and would make their fans proud of them.

To be a true wrestling fan, one needs to know that even the heels, have lives outside of the ring. They're dedication to the sport far exceeds the pain, being away from family, many times during holidays and their children's birthdays. Not being able to see their children grow up. Spending time in cheap motels and hotels on the road. Eating at greasy spoon restaurants, and above all else spending a lot of their free time, in the Gym and with their agents booking matches. When a professional wrestler is injured during a match, they can't work until they're released by their doctors and during this period many go into deep depression and many have taken their lives because of being injured and not able to perform in the ring.

To be a true wrestling fan, one needs to love the sport with every once of their being. To be proud when even the heels, get booed by fans. To be proud when the baby faces walk down to the ring, to standing ovations. To know above all else that professional wrestlers are human beings and as such deserve our utmost respect for what they do.

This is what it takes to be a true wrestling fan.

    Royal Rumble 2009 Laci's Review

Monday, January 26, 2009, 02:56 PM EST [General]

Well I haven't been able to put into words how I really feel about the Rumble....

Not impressed, shocked, bored, and didn't laugh hardly, DID I SAY SHOCKED!!!!!

As usual, Matt Hardy is the first to enter.  Why is that? Most of us knew going into this match with Jack Swagger that Matt Hardy was going to loose.  It has been rumored that he will be spending more time on SmackDown involved with a storyline with Jeff.  Well I guess so!!!!

I will give some kudos to Jack Swagger.  For at least we did get to see some REAL wrestling moves.  The black flip off the top rope by Hardy was good, not as smooth as his brother's but a risk none the less. Exciting match NO....predictable YES.....glad it's over AB- SO-lutely!!!

Our Diva match lacked, ummm everything.  No comedy, No Rosa (which we expected), No usual Santino antics.  I can't believe he was a good boy and caused no problems.  I mean Beth flopping Melina around, and then taking her leg and slamming it into her head...OUCH!!!!! But really the only thing I liked about the match was Melina's outfit.

It was prob. one of the classiest outfits worn by a Diva in a long time.  Beth has had the belt since Summer Slam and we knew time was up.  But PLEASE let's see some ACTION or Rosa or Santino or something.  Make us go, D A M N!!!!!!! or atleast cracking up laughing.  Beth is one of my fav. Divas, but her storyline with Santino wasn't there!  Does that mean its getting played out...  So now Melina had the Belt, and am I excited no.....but knew it was coming.

JBL/Cena match for me was your typical Jbl/Cena 5 kncukle shuffle match, but the HBK and the Sweet Chin music to both was music to my ears!!!! Classic HBK move!!!!  It was nice to see the match almost end with some excitement.  When he walked out of the ring, after placing Jbl on top of Cena, well he did his job, tooo bad JBL can't take care of business himself.

However, my 9 year old son, who is a huge Cena fan.  Was screaming and hollering "GET UP GET UP!!!!! PLEASE DON"T LOOSE TO JBL PLEASE!!!!!  ANYONE BUT HIM!!! PLEASE!!!!" Needless to say his excitement was contagious and by the time Cena landed the "pin" on JBL, we were all jumping and screaming.

NO worries fans....HBK will be back as his "Show Stopping" self, prob sooner than later.

We couldn't wait for the next match to begin...We were pumped...

     OMG!!!

Right now I can even speak about the Jeff Hardy/Edge match.   I am crushed!!!!! I really thought they would let him kept the title until Mania, bringing Christian back as a key player.

Turning Matt "heel".  WOW!!!!   But I should have seen it.  Jeff's career is getting a huge boost and Matt's ECW title reign was at least flat....He has interviewed several times saying that he was prepared for ANY storyline in his career.

I am a little confused as to why the WWE would approach this storyline, other than the SHOCK and AW factor.

I kills me to see the WWE split this dynamic duo.  They are the good ole boys, stick together through think and thin, always there for each other, showing that family matters no matter what.  Even though they have had personal struggles that have been brought into the WWE, they still have created characters that are loved by their fans.  You can't think of one Hardy brother, without mentioning the other.  This truly makes me sad.

    So now what.....

Do I split up my Hardy Action Figures (LOL)!!!

    Now on to the RUMBLE.....

Rey Mysterio is a beast!!! And when he was walking across the backs of (I can't remember who right now) to stay in the ring, that was great.  Prob. one of the best moments of the whole match, another great moment Taker and Big Show!

I love the idea of the Rumble, its exciting to see who's coming and get oooh who's going over the rope moments, hoping that your fav. makes its till the end.  My house does the count down, when the clock appears on the screen and my son gets the coveted 'EEEEHHH" noise once the clock hits 0.

The goings on of the RUMBLE is typical, not to much you can do with all those huge men moving around trying to push each other out of the ring.  Do you think they add extra supports to the ring, cause at one time all the big guys we on the right side of the ring, my son said "I hope it doesn't tip over, or crash"  (We laughed, it was the only time we laughed as a family all night)

RVD!!! RVD!!!!RVD!!!  the FROG SPLASH!!!!! Do we know what brand he's gonna be with!!!  This blew most everyone's expectation of Christian's return.  Nice surprise!

When RKO, make his speech to Vince (before the punt that was viewed around the world over and over OUCHH!!!), it should have been clear.  It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling to see HHH dump the Priceless Team over the ropes, but as always RKO, gets that one moment to take advantage of the situation and go for it....

And so it is....RKO at Mania, making Vince millions....

Can't wait for Monday Night RAW!!!!

So was it worth the 40 bucks I spent to watch....Yes!!!!

We hollered and screamed and I...... cried (yes Justin I too was balling).  I am still not over it......so anytime we have those kinds of emotions over a PPV it was worth it.

Oh and ummmm, just an FYI  #28 was Santino!!!!!! Some of us crazies (thanks to Adrian) had a Diva Rumble and a Dudes Rumble.  I drew 28, which normally is a pretty good number....HA!!!!  as soon as Santino came out I knew....1 second in the ring,

you have got to be kidding, my #28 didn't have a chance....Thanks Adrian!!!!!

LMFAO!!!!!!  I guess I found the words.....

Santino didn't even have the nutz to hang in there....I guess Gnome had them hidden somewhere in the pond.

    Your Jeff Hardy's Diva
