THis is My first blog so... Don't hate on its ****ness.

     The Intercontinental title. It was the first title I ever saw change hands on TV. ALmost 12 years ago. I beleive it was Owen Hart who dedicated the match to his older brother Bret , and went on to beat Rocky Maivia for the strap. Great match. Not as remembered , but still a great match.

     As important as the WWE title and World title are , I do consider it quite a shame that there seems to be little to no interest in the IC title as of late. When I first started watching WWE , the IC title was a stepping stone to main event status. Guys such as Chris Jericho , Edge , and RVD were the last former IC champs to do this if I'm not mistaken. Not anymore tho. Look at some of the former IC champs. Santino Marella , Kofi Kingston , and Jeff Hardy. (I know Jericho had the IC title recently , and DID win the World title recently , but for the sake of my blog , shut up). With the exception of Hardy , I don't think the IC title has done anything or is doing anything with the current upper mid-card guys. (If you wanna call Santino that...)

      I'm sure Hardy might've had a world title run by now if it weren't for his suspension issues. However he might not have either. I'm sure we could debate about that all night , but the fact is he didn't make it , yet. Still might , but its not likely. Before you know it , Hardy will be religated back to upper midcard hell , and likely hold the US title ( a bigger joke) a couple times to kill time.

    So here is my solution. USE the IC title as the stepping stone again. LIke when Jeff wore it to the rumble against Orton. Perfect use of the belt to elevate talent. I don't see Santino getting much use out of it , but perhaps Kofi , Lance Cade , or Regal could put it to good use. I'd also like to see more IC title matches contested on RAW. Make it seem more imortant. When your upper midcard gets taken more seriously , then your main event will look that much better. Even though they've been world champs already , I wouldn't mind seeing Kane and CM Punk try their hand at the IC title. Once again , just making better use of it than to promote a comedian with a funny accent.
