Greetings from the Persian Gulf. Yes I'm in Kuwait, and it sucks. I was anticipating to be home for WrestleMania XXV in Houston this year, and it appears that I will be, but not on my terms. I will probably remain here for at least 2 more weeks, but I should be stateside in time for Stone Cold Steve Austin's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame and WrestleMania the day after. Enough about me though, I still get WWE out here and I check up on the goings on in the WWE Universe online. With that being said, here's some of the things I'm going to be looking forward to on the Road to WrestleMania XXV.
First off, HHH & Orton have taken their rivalry to new heights as a result of the past few weeks. From Orton delivering a sickening RKO to Stephanie, HHH's real life wife, to the back and forth attacks by the Game and Legacy on one another culminated to a familiar turn of events this past Monday night on Raw. The whole HHH Extreme Makeover Home Invasion line is very similar to Austin/Pillman back in the early years of Steve Austin's WWE career. The only differences I see are that both Orton and the Game aren't injured, Orton doesn't threaten Helmsley with a 9mm pistol, and there's no Kevin Kelly! (Just kidding, we all know Orton's backup was not his home.) Other than that, for these two not to tear down th roof at Reliant Stadium would be a great disappointment.
Now, we move to the Triple Threat match for the World Title. John Cena is now a member of what was going to be Edge Vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship, but thanks to some (lmfao) incriminating evidence against GM Vickie Guerrero, the Doctor of Thuganomics has his ticket to the Showcase of the Immortals again. I expect this match to be good as well, but seeing as Edge won't have a great chance to walk out as champion, he'll be on his toes for a while.
I know this is a little premature, but with one slot left in the MITB Ladder Match, the deck is already stacked pretty thick with the likes of Kane and Mark Henry, as well as the other named competitors(CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Christian, MVP) this match is intriguing as well.
As for the 25 Diva Battle Royal, it's only a mystery as to which diva will return from WWE's past, not who's going to be representing Raw, ECW, or SmackDown. I've heard Lita, Trish, Sunny, maybe even Sable, Torrie, or Ashley. Who knows? I surely don't, but be in Houston or buy the PPV to find out.
As we barrel down the final straightaway to Armageddon, WWE is hosting a 3-hour Raw to bring back the Slammy Awards. The last time the Slammys were given out I was in middle school. Not only should that be fun to watch, but also look forward to the buildups for all of the main storylines going into next Sunday's PPV. Also, I'll try to cover some of the main feuds in ECW and on Smackdown.
On Raw, there's still the Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender's tournament, while Edge will come over from Smackdown to face John Cena in a champion vs champion match. There's no love lost between those two, and I'd expect Chris Jericho to get involved one way or another, even though he'll be facing Jeff Hardy as well. Former Evolution members HHH and Batista will be locking horns as well. The irony is that Stephanie has announced that all six of these superstars are in the running for Superstar of the Year.
Next, we'll visit the tribe of extreme, where Mark Henry and WWE HoF Tony Atlas will be facing the Irishman Finlay and Hornswoggle in a tag team match. Also, the big Oklahoman Jack Swagger has defeated Tommy Dreamer on many occasions, but does this rookie have what it takes to be champion someday? Only time will tell, especially after last week's 6 man tag with the Dirt Sheet duo of Miz & Morrison against Cryme Tyme and Dreamer.
Finally, we go to the Blue show, The Rock's show, Smackdown. Even after Raw is over, there's still a big buildup over Undertaker and Big Show, as well as the Triple Threat WWE Title match participants Edge, HHH, and Jeff Hardy. MVP and his losing streak of sorts heads into this Friday where he hopes to break his string of losses. The last time anyone had a losing streak as bad as MVP, Barry Horowitz was wrestling in the WWE and he didn't win for a while, until he wrestled Skip (Chris Candido) Who knows which superstar will be MVP's "Skip", but we all know that he'd better bring his A game.
That should about do it for this week, I'll try to lend my thoughts on this Sunday's PPV and guess who'll win. I only missed two matches last month, so I'm doing pretty ok for just starting out.

Hello again, I'm going to keep this one short. Today, I got to meet the Big Show, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and as an added bonus, Joey Styles as the WWE came to Iraq for their sixth annual Tribute To The Troops. Funny thing that happened, Joey had to do a little extra work today, especially because the camera man needed a boom mike operator and Joey happened to be going on the helecopter to the IZ. I took pictures of and with all the afforementioned superstars and former announcers, and I'll post the photos once the negatives are developed. (Sorry, I didn't have a digital camera to use this time!) I do look forward to the matches in a couple of days and even more to being home for Christmas.

Hello again, after an unpredictable pay per view and subsequent Monday Night Raw, there was a whole lot of shaking up as far as returning superstars and the World and WWE Title pictures. First, on my last entry, I gave my predictions on this past Sunday's PPV. Out of six matches, I only got four right, taking into account that I did NOT predict who would be the sole survivor(s).
That leads me into my next subject, in the WWE Title match, as all of you that bought the event saw, your new WWE Champion is a returning Edge. Expect four very obvious people to be targeting the Rated R Superstar: Jeff Hardy (Screwed out of title opportunity,) HHH (Lost title to unknown opponent,) Vladimir Koslov (Will pursue whomever holds the championship,) and the Undertaker(Fresh off of feud with Big Show, may look to grab title one last time after sending Edge through the ring a few months back.)
On the Raw side of the house, John Cena successfully captured the World Heavyweight Championship in his first match back in three months against former champ Chris Jericho. Their return match has been booked for Armageddon after Jericho's win in a triple threat #1 Contender's Match. Also, Melina returned to action this past Monday and may eventually be another contender after Beth Phoenix's Women's Championship, especially after being injured by Phoenix.
In the Land of the Extreme, expect much of the same between Matt Hardy and Mark Henry as the World's Strongest Man tries everything in his strength in the coming weeks to regain the ECW Title.
I've noticed on one person's blog that they believe that some "new blood" should be injected into the title pictures on all of the shows. Not to take sides or anything, but I've noticed some differences besides the usual John Cena or HHH holding the top prizes, as you already know, Matt Hardy holds ECW's only active title, while title shots have been doled out to names like Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Koslov, Evan Bourne (Thanks to the WWE Universe @ Cyber Sunday,) Even CM Punk has held the ECW and World titles, and he's a fresh face himself, having worked longer in the indies than in the WWE. All I can say in the end is the WWE is going to place the belts on superstars that can sell tickets and pay per views. The only thing you can do as fans is continue to cheer for your favorites and convince the powers that be that your favorite superstar can carry the WWE on his back. Even some signage would work too.
To give you a bit of a reminder of how fans can influence a promotion, history does recall that although WCW, when it was an active promotion, had a reputation for holding the young talent back, the only one who broke that glass ceiling was a man named Bill Goldberg. His then-growing fanbase and popularity, along with his "undefeated streak" took him from being an unknown to the World Heavyweight Title.

Greetings again from my neck of the woods. As all of you out there may know this Sunday is the 22nd edition of the Survivor Series. This event is shaping up to be great with 3 traditional Survivor Series elimination matches, 2 World Title matches, and a casket match of epic proportions. I'm not great at making predictions, so I'm going to try and do my best. The elimination matches are going to be more difficult because they can go so many ways. Those matches I'll only guess which team will win, and not who will be the survivors of the match. All the other matches I can just take a pick and provide some key points.
Team Batista Vs Team Orton
Traditional Survivor Series Match
My Pick: Team Batista
Although on paper, it looks like Team Orton would win this go around, especially with the World's Strongest Man on board, but even the biggest of men have an Achilles heel. Look for this one to drag out a good 30 minutes.
Team HBK Vs Team JBL
My Pick: Team HBK
This one is a little bit different, seeing as both teams have a giant in their corner. The Showstopper has the Great Khali in his corner while the Big Red Machine is in JBL's fold, but even Kane has stated that if Layfield makes one wrong move, he might have a mutiny on his hands. My concern over their team unity drove me to pick Michaels' team over Team JBL.
Team Raw Vs Team SmackDown
My Pick: Team Raw
This one also has it's cohesiveness issues, but on both sides. I do see that it would be more beneficial to Raw because the Divas DO have issues especially revolving around each brand's respective championships. Because of this, it is really difficult to decide clearly for one team. Expect the unexpected from the Divas in this one.
Casket Match
Undertaker Vs. Big Show
My Pick: The Undertaker
I've enjoyed watching these two go at it and even team up with each other for years now, and there has been bad blood between these two for a while now over the whole Vickie and Edge screwed me out of the title story. Show may be doing a noble thing here by protecting the G.M., but in life altogether, you reap what you sow. The Dead Man from Death Valley will have his revenge on the Big Show and eventually Guerrero too.
WWE Championship Triple Threat Match
HHH (c) Vs Jeff Hardy Vs Vladimir Koslov
My Pick: Jeff Hardy
This match had its difficulties as well, especially due to the fact that Koslov is undefeated (like Goldberg, without the fan support), and Hardy has a win going into this match over the champion in a non-title match thanks to a distraction by the Moscow Mauler. It's not that I don't expect HHH to bring his A-game, he always does. It's the fact that there is a 33.3% chance of him retaining against someone who is undefeated and someone who is constantly nipping at his heels to win the title. Although Hardy also looks like a long shot as well, he doesn't have to pin Koslov to win HHH's title.
World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho (c) Vs John Cena
My Pick: John Cena
Since Jericho has re-emerged in the WWE, he went from being a obvious fan favorite to a self-centered egotistical mad man who has had success at the downfall of others. Sunday, he faces the man who cost him his job a few years back. Although the tables have switched being that Cena IS NOT the champion going into this match, don't count him out. Being away from the ring should not affect Cena in this match, but Jericho will find unorthodox ways to win, i.e. the Cage match Vs Batista for the World Title two weeks ago on Raw. Love him or hate him, Cena is my pick to 'save us' from Y2J
That just about wraps this one up for me. I'll be watching, will you?
