Greetings from the Persian Gulf. Yes I'm in Kuwait, and it sucks. I was anticipating to be home for WrestleMania XXV in Houston this year, and it appears that I will be, but not on my terms. I will probably remain here for at least 2 more weeks, but I should be stateside in time for Stone Cold Steve Austin's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame and WrestleMania the day after. Enough about me though, I still get WWE out here and I check up on the goings on in the WWE Universe online. With that being said, here's some of the things I'm going to be looking forward to on the Road to WrestleMania XXV.
First off, HHH & Orton have taken their rivalry to new heights as a result of the past few weeks. From Orton delivering a sickening RKO to Stephanie, HHH's real life wife, to the back and forth attacks by the Game and Legacy on one another culminated to a familiar turn of events this past Monday night on Raw. The whole HHH Extreme Makeover Home Invasion line is very similar to Austin/Pillman back in the early years of Steve Austin's WWE career. The only differences I see are that both Orton and the Game aren't injured, Orton doesn't threaten Helmsley with a 9mm pistol, and there's no Kevin Kelly! (Just kidding, we all know Orton's backup was not his home.) Other than that, for these two not to tear down th roof at Reliant Stadium would be a great disappointment.
Now, we move to the Triple Threat match for the World Title. John Cena is now a member of what was going to be Edge Vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship, but thanks to some (lmfao) incriminating evidence against GM Vickie Guerrero, the Doctor of Thuganomics has his ticket to the Showcase of the Immortals again. I expect this match to be good as well, but seeing as Edge won't have a great chance to walk out as champion, he'll be on his toes for a while.
I know this is a little premature, but with one slot left in the MITB Ladder Match, the deck is already stacked pretty thick with the likes of Kane and Mark Henry, as well as the other named competitors(CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Christian, MVP) this match is intriguing as well.
As for the 25 Diva Battle Royal, it's only a mystery as to which diva will return from WWE's past, not who's going to be representing Raw, ECW, or SmackDown. I've heard Lita, Trish, Sunny, maybe even Sable, Torrie, or Ashley. Who knows? I surely don't, but be in Houston or buy the PPV to find out.
Until next time
Chris
