About Me: I started watching wrestling (specifically the WWF/E) around the time of just before the 1993 Survivor Series. I became hooked on the in-ring action, surreal gimmicks, interesting storylines and huge surprises. The Monday Night Wars were a staple of my childhood, and I loved every second of switching back and forth between the shows - wondering who was going to show up next or how one company could upstage the other. Even though I'm in my early 20's now, I remain loyal to pro wrestling (or sports entertainment, if you prefer) because I still think it offers the same things that drew me to it as a youngster: the over-the-top plots and larger-than-life personalities. Wrestling is the quintessential male soap opera, as the drama builds each and every week to the point were the excitement over a particular match or feud is overwhelmingly palpable. I've taken my fandom to new heights, going to about 15 or so WWE events per year (whether they be live events or autograph signings) and keeping up with all of the juicy backstage rumors on a daily basis. I attended Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I hope that I'm able to make a return trip to the pinnacle of sports entertainment in the near future, as well as venturing to the other 3 PPV's that are considered apart of the "Big 4." Oh...and at some point, I want to shake Vince McMahon's hand and thank him for what he's done for the pro wrestling genre. That would be cool. See you out at the arenas.
