I am all about the reality of professional wrestling. I like watching wrestlers compete and tell a believable story in there matches. However, the complete **** WWE pulls week in and week out with Rey Mysterio sickens me in every single way. Let me make it clear, I have all the respect and admiration for Rey Mysterio in the entire world. He is an amazing sight to behold in that ring. This blog is in no offense at all to Oscar Gutierrez to person or Rey Mysterio the persona.
Rey Mysterio (former World HEAVYWEIGHT Champion) is 5'6 and weighs 165 pounds. Despite this, WWE makes him into this ultra giant killer who somehow can roll over guys bigger then him with ease. For example, Rey had a feud with Kane. Kane is around the seven foot mark and well over 300 pounds. Yet, Rey can man handle Kane. How many times did Kane job out to Mysterio. When Rey goes for the seated springboard senton to an opponent, someone Kanes size should not go down to this move. They should be able to catch Rey with ease and send him to the 5th row. A 300 plus piund guy is reality will not go down to the weight of a 160 pound man. One time Rey squashed Gene Snitsky. Now, Rey is dominating Mike Knox. It is so laughable. Rey should not have won the 2006 Rumble because you have Kane, Big Show, Lashley, and about a dozen more huge guys in there who in reality chould have flicked Rey out at any time. It was not believable. It was a joke. Big time.
Rey is also a former World HEAVYWEIGHT Champion. How could a lightweight superstar hold this honor? Rey should never have won the World Heavyweight Championship. It would be believable if Mike Knox beat the piss out of Mysterio and then Rey gets a pin out of nowhere. That is real. What they have Rey do every week is not real. ILike I said above, it is a joke.
That is why I always enjoed matches from guys like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, or even Chris Benoit. They actually tell stories in there matches. Stories that can be believed.
Both WCW and ECW did the whole Giant Killer thing before (Rey in WCW) and Spike Dudley in ECW. In both instances, the stories were done rather well. Rey should be competing against guys his size like the Miz, John Morisson, Evan Bourne, Christian, and other smaller wrestlers.
The worst thing WWE did was scrap the Crusierweight Division. WWE has the full resources to make the division into a pure epic sight. they got Mysterio, Evan Bourne, Chavo Guerrero, Miz, Morisson, Kung Fu Naki, Jimmy Wang Yanhg, Tyson Kidd, Hurricane Helms, Jamie Noble, JTG, Kofi Kingston, and even the Hardyz if they wanted. They have the talent to make an awesome division. They won't though because they have there "writers" and hollywood actors to write the shows.

I agree with u there...the cruiserweight division didn't have to be scrapped courtesy of Vicki Guerrero when she did strip the last Cruiserweight champion being (lol...Hornswoggle) of course but she did that for a good reason I suppose but yeah alot of cruiserweights who are indeed the future of the WWE they would have dominated the Cruiserweight division if it was to be brought back and hell Evan Bourne and the newcomer Tyson Kidd who has become quite impressive over the past 2 weeks on ECW would have shot their careers straight up the division and would have became Cruiserweight champion in my estimation , Hurricane Helms, Kofi Kingston, Jimmy Yang Wang yeah u mentioned alot and they would of killed the division no lie but as sucky as the WWE is becoming cuz of no-talented writers I can see why the division is dead buuuut I give Freddie Prinze Jr. credit he is getting good sooo I wouldn't disagree with what he can bring to the table just yet lol (he is married to one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood today....damn I miss Buffy) sorry getting off subject but yeah he'll get better in time and hopefully save the WWE but as long as the ratings are sky-rocketing every week on all three brands I see no problem with him yet
