...this definitely the first time WWE has released an album that can call be called "world music" it has a French, samoan, rap, metal,Russian and even Indian music all roll into one album. I feel though some of the songs are short. Even though they released an alternative versions of the themes, to me its quite a great album.on the other hand, the special edition cd includes the legends of the ring themes featuring stond cold [I think this is the 4th time they released this time already], the rock [3rd time releasing this theme], hot rod's theme,mr perfect's theme as well as sgt. Slaughters and hhh theme as the blueblood.overall I would give this cd 4 out of 5 rating
...Vocalist for Horror-Punk band the Misfits didn't have too many kind words about his brief time in WCW. He told the Orlando Weekly that "People think the music industry is the most cutthroat, but they're wrong. But, yeah, man, [the WCW] were complete jokes. They didn't even have health insurance for these guys. "They had me going on between Sting and Goldberg, and, you know, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. Finishing touches are being put on our newest album, WWE The Music "Volume 9" to be released January 27, 2009, via our partner, Columbia Records. This album will be loaded with unreleased WWE Superstar entrance themes, as well as themes from the past 25 years, to commemorate the milestone of the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania.
...On His Entrance Music "I wish we could pick our theme music," he said. "For the longest time, I had the Burning My Light or whatever the entrance music was that started with 'Hey, nothing you can say,' and I hated that **** for all four years. I hated it from the first day I heard it. They even tried to tweak it a bit and I still hated it. I told Vince (McMahon) and Kevin Dunn, the producer, that I hated my music, so they said they'd get me something new, but it was four years. Finally, I gave them a CD and said that I wanted this music, so they bought the song and they played it for two weeks until Vince said it didn't fit my character. The following week, CM Punk debuted and they gave him my music." |
