I’ll add other matches later but this should be the ECW championship:

    Matt Hardy v. Jack Swagger

Smackdown Championship should be a Triple Threat:

Jeff Hardy v. Edge v. Big Show (Ladder?; we all wish)

Smackdown should have a 2nd match like Raw:

MVP streak gimmick match or TT championship match.

How about that Rosa chick attacking lovely Melina.  I hope Raw hires her. Rosa & Beth would make a good mix.  Too bad about Maryse's injury. I knew they were  giving her a push but Natalay or Victoria should've got it instead.  I wonder how they are going to tranfer it.  Hopefully Victoria kills Maryse.  I hate vacant titles.

    Thanks a bunch,

    JMC

"Wowser" Review Vengance and ECW's future!

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 05:47 AM EST [General]

The PPV Vengeance was pretty good just because everyone I wanted to win won that night.  Now, I may have said I would Cena would win but that was because out of the probable possible scenarios that was the better of two evils.

The first match was a good opener between Finlay and son against Miz and Morrison.  The biggest problem with this match is how Morrison and Miz are suppose to be treated like bullies for beating up on a midget but how is he suppose to be treated in a match like this.  I have a big problem with Hornswoggle being in championship matches because of the chance of them being vacated like the Cruiserweight was.  To have these contenders hurts the slim tag team division there is.  To liven it up Smackdown should repeat what was done ten years ago with a Maryse or Cherri invitational.  Oh, hey 4 more months until the extremely flaunty team becomes holders of the belt for a year.

Matt Hardy defeating Chavo was a great match showing why Matt deserved the push he is getting and I can't wait to see what he does with the ECW roster.  I don't like the fact the "Smackdown's title is on ECW because it makes sure this stupid talent exchange is kept.

The triple threat ECW championship match is one of the title matches of the night I was most excited for.  With a member from each brand representing the ECW Championship could have ended up anywhere.  I was rooting for Mark Henry since he was just drafted to ECW and was the only one who could bring it back.  Kane did a great job attempting to take both out but a toss out the ring kept Kane out of the match pretty much the whole time.  It was weird because after Kane got thrown out he just sat there even after the medical team checked on him and said nothing was wrong.  Henry had to cover for Kane until he came back.  I had a feeling that there was suppose to be a lot more outside action than there was; outside action would have helped for the name of the "ECW" match even though the two previous matches had only extremist.

Raw Tag team championship was holding a big surprise that I was not even sure of.  Well, there were two choices: A mystery partner or betrayal.  It was betrayal.  It did not become obvious until Ted said his partner was going to be late; no way would WWE have a heel prove themselves.  As quickly as I thought this came the DDT to Holly and Debidiase doing his dad's trademark finisher.

After this there was two hours left.  Vickie should have got that Divas Championship ready.

The Intercontinental Championship was sure to happen with Chris Jericho dissing Shawn Michaels.  During this process apparently Lance Cade appeared there must have been an underground tunnel or something because Cade didn't come down with Jericho and Jericho didn't even mention him being there.  This stunk because I really wanted Cade to ask for that favor but instead Kofi came down, which is still pretty cool because Kofi was a lot of fun on ECW.  The match was great the two almost went for fifteen minutes and that's when Michaels came to ruin it all for Jericho's easy win he developing.  The title change no matter to who is a good thing because the rivalry between Jericho and Michaels is so good it didn't need a championship to help it.  Championships are there to make easy rivalries and Y2J-HBK rivalry did not need this title for their rivalry ongoing since March.

A quick talk for the women's championship match.  Katie Lee proved that she can do an aggressive match for a PPV but a little more work and she be able to be more entertaining than Layla which Katie just seems to be a better version of at the moment.  Congrats to Mickie for retaining.

The Edge-Batista show was a well developed match.  Nothing too technical but the passion was there.  I would have been very disappointed if La Familia would come to a corny ending as it would if Batista were to defeat Edge.  Thank goodness La Famillia came to save the day.  When they first started coming down it seemed that Edge didn't need them but after the long walk way Batista got that devastating spine buster and Vickie through the ref out of that ring before he could count to three.  The finish had Chavo count the three count after Edge clocked the thief with his title.  The finish gave me what I wanted and that's all that mattered at the moment.

The Main Event came which had me frightened yet relieved.  I believed that WWE was going through with my philosophy of evening out the brands and forcing those sad souls that chose to watch Raw.  Cena and HHH, who was too tan for some reason, had a great finish for this PPV with John Cena showing he'll do what he needs to take back his title while at the same time HHH kept Cena off him with big power moves.  The cool thing about this match is Cena was attacking HHH's leg building up for the STFU instead of getting beaten up for 10 minutes and then having it pop of nowhere for the win.  HHH gave a pushapedigree for the win when it was all said and done.  Smackdown has 2 World Championships.

    Quick Raw Talk

Congratulation to the X-extremist for their championship gain.  Kofi Kingston and CM Punk pretty much are the faces of Raw now.  It's too bad Punk couldn't pick HHH instead of Edge but oh well.  Irony rules!  I didn't see the whole 2nd Kofi-Jericho match but DQ because of pulling the tights is a little silly.  Jericho should have gouged Kofi's eyes for being caught than DQed but because he pulled the tights.

Also, I'm happy to see Rey is slowly making it back to the ring once again and Santino is always great to see with the mic; I can't believe he found a way to mispronounce Mysterio.  Santino has turned this into an art.

Where are Matt Striker and Layla if Raw is going to take them?

I'm glad to see JBL at least get a chance to he still has what it takes to be the top heel of a brand.  It probably was a one night gimmick but it's still nice to see Raw believes in him.

    ECW Futah

The show for ECW did not find any way to further ECW's future except for a beginning Dreamer-Henry rivalry for the ECW title.  This had a great promo by Henry bragging as if ECW owes him something and Dreamer explaining the legacy behind the championship of which Henry is holding.  It makes me a little sad even though I expected it that Delaney was killed in the end.  I agree with Delaney I enjoy his passion but needs to find something to back it up.  Maybe next week it will be Delaney v. Henry in an extreme rule and when Dreamer can't take his bullying anymore will interfere.  I hope ECW sticks to this storyline because it's the only the show has.

The 5 1/2 man tag was an impressive match but it should've been saved later for when these guys start interacting with other wrestlers of the brand to gather more storylines.  You know there Burke, Knox, Bourne (why doesn't he have a profile yet?), and Super Crazy!  Psh.  I would be fine if Boogeyman or Richards appear but I don't know if they are sick or what.

Last thing is I am happy Long is straight out saying what ECW is a play to gather new talent but wrestled tonight reminded me of the jobbers in TNA.  The Ortiz guy had nothing interesting to say and Estrada looked like Regal tonight against him.  At least Estrada got to show more what he can do hopefully he can soon get that contract he is fighting for.

Two general things ECW should work at are:

    1. Ending the "Talent Exchange".  ECW doesn't need Smackdown stars anymore Smackdown is needing ECW extremists.  Fans who like ECW wrestlers just skip ECW and see their favorite extremist on Smackdown.  It's sickening that this is suppose to help ECW.  It's what is destroying the show's rating.
    2. I know everyone else is begging for this and yet ECW teases the fans with it monthly but they could at least do once a week and switch it among the wrestlers.
    3. Bring back the cheap looking entrance.  It looked cheap but it was ECWs.  Try to reform it to what it was that's why Original fans want to see.

I hope you enjoyed my reviewing.  I have a hard time doing these because of coaching and what not but if there are any requests I can probably fulfill them.  Also be sure to check out Dreamer's up and coming blog about the state of ECW.  I hope he is going to take action than sit around moaning.  He is the one in the position I only wish I could utilize.

The hopes for Vengance: Night of Champions!

Sunday, June 29, 2008, 07:22 PM EST [General]

I'm very excited for the next PPV.  All the matches are pretty hard to predict and hold a lot of importantance of how the brands will look after wards.  The draft placed the belts in a situation where the PPV will no matter who wins affect how the brand is run for that day on.  Let's get on to how I hope each match turns out.  Predicting matches is a joke because when it comes to WWE the is not much substance to guess there decisions.  Also, I should explain now I am a big fan of champions reatiaining because it makes the championship itself look better.

The fist match I would like to comment on is Mickie v. Katie Burchhill.  I can easily seeing Mickie win because this is Katie's first PPV and the few wins she got over Mickie were barely wins nothing like what Beth was doing to Candice last year.  So go Mickie!

Next match would be Matt Hardy v. Chavo.  I am definately hoping for Matt Hardy because Chavo has been getting his butt kissed way too much.  I am still pissed off that he beat CM Punk the way he did in January for the ECW title. MFers better get what they want tonight.

The Smackdown tag team championship is next.  I love the promos that Miz & Morrison are doing against Finlay & Hornswoggle on their Dirt Sheet and the fact that the Irish family just got drafted to ECW gives no pressure to send it back.  So, I am seeing the champions retaining because I have a big fear of another belt being vanquished becuase of the little dip, Hornswoggle.  Although, I hope another team develops in ECW to take it so Miz & Morrison can be contenders for the ECW Championship when it comes back or the United States title.

Cody & Hardcore Holly v. Ted D & FRIEND.  It seems that a majority would like these stale champions lose the belt.  My best guess for the FRIEND is JBL because he is all about money just like Ted's dad.  It would make sense.  A lot of people were thinking DH Smith would be this FRIEND and thanks to the draft that idea should be dropped.  If one put DH Smith in the scenario of being the surprise partner one can see the crowd not making a reaction what so ever.  What a waste that would be of doing the mystery partner gimmick.  If JBL came out there people would be hella pist and having a good idea of the champs being in trouble.

I am hoping and betting there will be a Intercontinental championship tonigh.  The match I have in mind is Y2J v. Lance Cade.  This may seem random but  having HBK fight for the belt would be too big of a match for a mid-carder's title.  Y2J-HBK-Cade promo last Raw where Michael was put in a even worst state I hope is bad enough where he can't wrestle at Vengance but still show up there.  Tonight Cade should request the match as a return favor for him helping Jericho against HHH and Cena.  If granted during the grueling match Shawn should kick Jericho when the ref not looking and Cade will take advantage.  This situation will give the belt to someone with a lower status to help build them up and keep the fire in the HBK-Jericho rivalry.

In this next Hoping I will combine both Raw and Smackdown world championship matches.  I am hoping the company doesn't drag this mixture of the belts too much longer if not ended tonight becuase it make the situation too confusing and not want to watch more than interest them.  It's part of the reason I stopped watching back when WWE first split up the company.  I want Edge to keep the belt because the La Familia storyline has been built up way too long to end conveniently tonight and Edge is a newer champion and deserves to hold it instead of Batista which forces me to give what the other championship match would have to result in.  John Cena will win it against HHH which would be so bad because the fans will still be with HHH on Smackdown but La Familia needs a better ending than 3 weeks of Batista getting his arse kicked than not.  Edge-Cena champs.

Last championship match to speak of is the ECW championship.  This match is going to be brutal and a ultimate fight for brand pride.  WIth a belt that belongs to a brand and the biggest wrestler of each brand represting it's going to be a powerfest, which hopefully the champion will get destroyed.  What bothers me is how easy the champion exceted its fate not showing any ECW pride what so ever.  Since the supplemental thankfully sent someone in the ECW championship match to ECW, Henry being winner become the best scenario.  I'm hoping they make Kane look bad dissing ECW while Henry and a few extremist get annoyed by this and do something about it during the championship match.
