What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of PWA! SD was an awesome show this week! We all had a great Main Event to look forward to, and the return of the Cutting Edge. I've much to discuss. Let's begin!
We kicked off the night in a rather interesting way. Triple H was coming down to the ring when he was attacked from behind by Jeff Hardy. The decided to give us a preview of the Main Event. The quite literally beat the living hell out of each other. GM Vickie Guerrero came down to the ring accompanied by Chavo Guerrero. She tried to make him break Jeff and Hunter up, but he did not succeed. At one point, Vickie got too close to the action and she was knocked down. Chavo laughed at her, hahaha! She got up and continued to scream until the refs finally broke the two men apart.
After giving us his sob story about his monetary status last week, MVP had a match with Slammy winning R-Truth. These two had a good match. In the end, R-Truth picked up the win! It seems as though MVP can't win anything lately, including a Slammy. He followed up his match by saying that he went from being the highest paid superstar in SD history and the longest reigning US champion in WWE history, to almost nothing. But he still had his pride. And more money than the rest of us. Mr. Kennedy came out and he said that he was disappointed in Montel. He said he should smile. I should add that Mr. Kennedy had MVP's mic shut off while he was saying this. MVP looked like a guy in those silent movies!
We then turned to the Bella twins. And then along came (The) Brian Kendrick. He started hitting on the twins. Then came Carlito and Primo(!!!). They told Kendrick to back off, Kendrick looked like he was going to listen when Ezekiel Jackson came through a doorway. Kendrick and his large advisor left.
Coincidentally, Kendrick had a match with Primo after that little encounter. This match was great. Both men seemed surprised at the other's athletic ability. The match just sucked you right in. Unfortunately, Ezekiel Jackson's presence makes for many distractions, and last night was no exception. Jackson distracted Primo long enough for Kendrick to pick up the win.
Hurricane Helms made a triumphant return to Friday night Smackdown last week. This week he took on US champ, Shelton Benjamin. This match was also great. Both of these men have great athletic ability. I actually saw Benjamin lose his balance! In the end, Hurricane picked up the win! He had an interview with Tazz afterwards and he said it was high time Benjamin put up the US title.
With the return of Edge, we also saw the return of The Cutting Edge. With special guest superstar, ECW champion Matt Hardy. Before Matt came out, Edge made it clear that he didn't attack Jeff before Survivor Series. He said Triple H attacked Jeff. And that it seems everyone is blaming him, including Matt. So Matt comes out and he reiterates that he believes Edge attacked Jeff because he knows what he's capable of. Matt said he wanted the truth. Edge told him that the truth was that everyone cared about Jeff, but no one gave a damn about Matt. Matt went off, and he attacked Edge. Then Vladimir Kozlov came out, and he attacked Matt.
We haven't seen the Great Khali in action since the birth of the Khali Kiss Cam. But he was in action last night, in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Khali can take on anything, so these two clowns were no competition for him, and he dismantled them in about 5 minutes. Maybe less.
Eve interviewed Triple H last night. She asked him what he thought of Edge's theory that he attacked Jeff Hardy. He said that Edge isn't the only one who believes that. Hunter said Jeff also believes that. But he doesn't care, and says he would run Jeff down.
After being hit on by (The) Brian Kendrick, the Bella twins were in tag team action against Maryse and one of my personal favorites, Natalya. This match was pretty okay. Much to my dismay, the Bella twins picked up the win.
Eve also interviewed Vladimir Kozlov last night. He said he had lost all tolerance for Triple H and Jeff Hardy. He said he would soon be WWE champion and everyone would fall.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, our Main Event. Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H. We had already seen a preview of this earlier in the night. If you thought they beat the hell out of each other the first time, you've got another thing coming. Not 10 minutes passed, and they could barely stand. The animosity between these two is amazing. The took each other to the limit. But, like all great matches, it was interrupted. By Edge, causing it to end in no contest. He speared Jeff, then he speared Hunter. There is no doubt, Armageddon will surely be a night to remember.
Well friends, that was SD. All in all, a great show. I will tell you now that there will be no PWA! blog for the next couple of weeks. I'm going to Mexico for Christmas! The last time you will hear from me til January is Tuesday for Main Event Plaza. But PWA! will be back before you know it! Well, that's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA! Take it easy, Happy Holidays!
What's up people? Welcome to a very special edition of Main Event Plaza! As you know, RAW was 3 hours long because of the Slammy awards. There were alot of matches and promos, and I won't write about all of them. I will write about all of the Slammys, and the Superstar of the year matches. Let's begin!
I will start with the matches. The first match was contested between Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy. Jeff did win a Slammy last night, and he was excited about it. He still had to face Chris Jericho. This match was pretty good. Unfortunately, Jeff's happiness was turned to disappointment, as Jericho pinned Jeff for the win.
The match between Triple H and Batista was turned into a 3 on 2 handicap match, courtesy of Randy Orton. Triple H and Batista teamed up to take on Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Manu. This match was great. Batista and Randy are going to face each other at Armageddon, so you could say this was a bit of a preview. Too bad for Dave though. Randy nailed him with an RKO, and his team picked up the win.
The last superstar of the year match was champion vs. champion, as John Cena took on Edge. This match was the typical Cena/Edge match we all miss seeing. It was great, for the time it lasted. Chris Jericho interfered and went after John, causing the match to end in no contest.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, the Slammy awards. I will start with the WWE Superstar of the year award, presented by Stephanie McMahon. The nominees were: John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Batista and Chris Jericho. The Slammy went to . . . Chris Jericho. Boooo.
The "DAMN!" Moment of the year award was presented by Ron Simmons and Mickie James. The nominees were: Jim Ross in a sailor suit, CM Punk disguised as a Mariachi, and lays out Chavo Guerrero, Santino Marella attempts Melina's Entrance and the Khali Kiss Cam (SD, Nov.7). The Slammy went to . . . the Khali Kiss Cam!
The Match of the year award was presented by Eve and Mr. Kennedy. The nominees were: the 2008 Royal Rumble match, the Money in the Bank Ladder match, Edge and Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match, and Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair at WM24. The Slammy went to . . . Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair at WM24!
The OMG moment of the year was presented by Joey Styles and Alicia Fox. The nominees were: CM Punk cashes in Money In the Bank and becomes the World Heavyweight Champion (RAW, June 30), Undertaker sends Edge to Hell, Floyd Mayweather punches Big Show and breaks his nose and John Cena's surprise return at the Royal Rumble. The Slammy went to . . . CM Punk cashes in Money In the Bank and becomes the World Heavyweight Champion!
The Diva of the year award was presented by Teddy Long and Melina. The nominees were: Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool. The Slammy went to . . . Beth Phoenix.
The Couple of the year award was presented by Kelly Kelly and Kane (?). The nominees were: Edge & Vickie Guerrero, William Regal & Layla, Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix and Finlay & Hornswoggle. The Slammy went to . . . Edge & Vickie Guerrero. GROSS!
The Extreme moment of the year award was presented by Matt Hardy and Tiffany. The nominees were: Jeff Hardy's Swanton Bomb on Randy Orton from the RAW set (RAW, Jan. 14), Undertaker falls off ladder through table as Edge wins TLC Match, JBL throws John Cena off stage into car windshield and Chris Jericho smashes Shawn Michaels' head through Jeri-Tron. The Slammy went to . . . Jeff Hardy's Swanton Bomb on Randy Orton from the RAW set!
The final Slammy award I will talk about is the Best finishing maneuver award which was presented by Candice Michelle and Cryme Tyme. The nominees were: Randy Orton's RKO, Undertaker's Hell's Gate, Big Show's Knockout Punch, and Evan Bourne's Shooting Star Press. The Slammy went to . . . Evan Bourne's Shooting Star Press!
Well people, that was some of RAW. A very good show last night. Stay tuned for PWA! this Saturday! That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading Main Event Plaza. Take it easy.

What's up people? Welcome to another edition of PWA! SD was a great show this week! Tempers ran high, there were much anticipated returns, and a little gift to a giant person. Let's begin!
We kicked off the night with Edge and his wife Vickie. Edge was in action against Kung Fu Naki. Kung Fu Naki has been doing very well for himself lately, and has the upper hand early on in this match up. However, Edge was able to get back into it, and picked up a win. After the match, Vickie took it upon herself to congratulate Edge, and invite the rest of us to do the same. She said she was very proud of Edge, and that if he was in action, it was only fair that his Armageddon opponents be in action as well. She then proceeded to team up Triple H and Jeff Hardy, and put them in a tag team gauntlet match. The rules were fairly simple. The match would go on, with them taking on tag team after tag team, until they lost.
Divas champion Michelle McCool and Maria have not been getting along as of late. I believe it all started during a tag team match in which they were partners. Regardless, they took each other on in one on one action last night. It was more of a cat fight than a wrestling match. Maria literally ducked for the win. Michelle didn't take that lightly.
After the match, Maria went to see the Bella twins, who were with Carlito and Primo(!!!). Michelle came along to rain on the parade, and kicked Maria in the abdomen.
The Big Show and the Undertaker had a steel cage match to look forward to last night. Show cut a promo, and said that at Survivor Series, they faced off in 'Taker's environment. But tonight, they would face off in Show's environment. He added that they would both go to hell, but only one of them was coming back.
Way before Survivor Series, MVP started to suffer from a losing streak. He had until SS to win a match, or he would lose and have to pay back his incentive bonus. He was not able to win a match before SS. So last night, he came out to point out the obvious. He said that he had had a run of bad luck, and that caused him to lose his incentive bonus. They even took away his pyro and inflatable entrance way. He said all of this before a match with none other than Hurricane Helms!!! We hadn't seen Helms in just about a year, and it was nice to see him in action. MVP's losing streak continued and Hurricane Helms picked up the win!!!
Before the tag team gauntlet match, Triple H warned Jeff Hardy to stay out of his way. This led to a bit of arguing before the match began. The first team they faced was composed of Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. It seemed as though Hunter and Jeff were trying to out do each other. They were able to pick up a win however, and continue the match. The next team they faced was the Miz and John Morrison. They had more on their plate with these two, and had a hard time controlling their tempers. The match went south when Jeff jumped on Miz, Morrison, and Hunter. He and Hunter went at it outside the ring. They put each other through the steel steps, over the barricade. They lost by count out due to all of their fighting.
We then turned to Edge and Vickie in her office. It seemed as though they were enjoying Jeff and the Game tearing each other to pieces. Edge said Vickie was brilliant for making the match. Jeff then came into her office, followed by Triple H and the fighting continued. Edge then had them kicked out of Vickie's office. Then for the first time since Edge locked lips with Vickie's wedding planner, he kissed Vickie.
ECW champion Matt Hardy did his brother Jeff a huge favor last week in his match with Vladimir Kozlov. This week, Matt took on Vickie's nephew Chavo Guerrero. This was a pretty good match, considering Chavo has been his aunt's butler as of late. We didn't get to see how this match played out because Kozlov interfered and attacked Matt Hardy. The match ended in DQ. It seems that Kozlov is none too happy with Matt about last week.
It has been a couple of weeks since we have seen the Khali Kiss Cam. In anticipation of this week's Cam, Khali was rinsing with mouthwash when his elf with sideburns came to get him. He made Khali accidentally swallow his mouthwash. It was all good though, as Khali and his elf-looking elf came out to the ring. In a very special holiday edition of the Khali Kiss Cam, the elf had a present for Khali. It wasn't some lady from the audience, it was Santa's little helper, Eve Torres. In contrast to other weeks, it seemed that the "Punjabi Playboy" actually enjoyed this kiss.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, our Main Event. A steel cage match contested between the Big Show and the Undertaker. This match, like all steel cage matches was awesome. Lot's of action. Despite getting punched in the face, the Undertaker was able to lock Big Show into Hell's Gate. Show tapped out, granting the Demon of Death Valley the win!
Well friends, that was SD. All in all, a great show. Don't forget to watch RAW this Monday for the Slammy awards! And stay tuned for next week's Main Event Plaza. That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA! Take it easy.

What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of Main Event Plaza! RAW was a funny, heartbreaking, and triumphant show this week. I've much to discuss, let's begin!
Chris Jericho is upset because he lost the world heavyweight championship at Survivor Series to John Cena. He came out Monday night like he was never attacked, or should I say, mauled. But he didn't come to the ring the way he usually does. He entered in almost the exact same way John entered last week. Except, he went the whole nine yards to ignore the fans. He hired security. Apparently, Jericho very much resents John Cena. He explained that during the three years he wasn't working for WWE, his son became a fan. But not of him, of John Cena. He said he will prove to his son who the real hero is at Armageddon, by beating John for the title.
The third opening round match for the Intercontinental championship tournament was going to be contested between the Miz and Rey Mysterio. However, while Rey was making his way down to the ring, he found that Mike Knox was blocking his path. He tried to beat Knox to get him out of the way, but he couldn't. He slipped on the ramp and hurt his elbow, postponing the match.
World tag team champions CM Punk and Kofi Kingston were in action Monday night against Cody Rhodes and Manu. Manu took Ted DiBiase's place, who is out indefinitely due to a punt to the head by Randy Orton. This was a great match, lots of high flying action. In the end, the tag champs picked up the win!
After having made a successful return to the ring, Melina went one on one with the tone deaf dying cat Jillian. I should also add that Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella were at ringside doing commentary. This did not seem to bother Melina, and she was able to pick up a win! Afterwards, Santino decided that Melina wasn't very impressive, and said that anybody could do her entrance, which involves doing the splits. Well he tried, and did not succeed. It was the funniest thing I have seen since Vickie Guerrero screamed like a banshee!!! I highly recommend going to YouTube to watch the video!
JBL seemed like he was coming out for a street fight Monday night, but he wasn't. Last week he mentioned that he made an offer to Shawn Michaels that would be beneficial to both of them. Shawn came out, and JBL clarified the offer to him and the fans. The offer was for Shawn to come work for JBL, to help Shawn recover the money he had lost in the stock market. JBL gave Shawn an opportunity to publicly refuse, by giving him Sweet Chin Music. Shawn didn't kick him. And for the first time ever, I heard a crowd boo Shawn Michaels. Shawn then left without making a decision.
For weeks and weeks, we've all heard this familiar phrase, "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler". Well he finally made his debut, against Batista. Throughout this entire match, he kept saying his name. I don't know why, but he did. It was rather strange but it didn't do him any good. Batista did what he usually does and got in a Batista Bomb for the win! After his victory, Randy Orton appeared to bother the Animal. He said he couldn't wait for the day they met face to face. Batista then cleared the air by saying he had spoken to Stephanie McMahon, and at Armageddon, Batista and Randy Orton would go one on one.
John Morrison faced Finlay in the last opening round match for the I-C championship. Hornswoggle was standing at ringside, and at one point, Morrison showed aggression towards him. This was enough to distract his father, and Morrison was able to pick up the win.
Stephanie McMahon announced the nominees for the Superstar of the year for the Slammy awards next Monday night. The nominees are: Edge, Batista, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, Triple H, and John Cena! If that's not enough, these men will be in matches against each other. It will be Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho, Triple H vs. Batista, and champion vs. champion, John Cena vs. Edge!
It appears that when Rey slipped on the ramp, he tore some ligaments in his elbow. Stephanie announced that he was not going to be able to compete. Regardless of that, Rey still wanted to have his match, and he did it on one arm. He took on the Miz and was able to pick up a win!
Last week it was announced that John Cena would go one on one with Kane, and he did just that. John didn't have the upper edge from the beginning, but he was still able to fight back the Big Red Monster. At one point Chris Jericho tried to interfere, but John beat him down and went on to beat Kane with an FU!!! After which he decided to beat the hell out of Jericho again. This time however, he was brutally attacked by Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Manu as well.
Well people, that was RAW. A very good show except for that last bit. Don't forget to watch SD this friday and RAW next monday for the Slammy awards. Also, stay tuned for my PWA! blog this weekend and Main Event Plaza next week. That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading Main Event Plaza! Take it easy.

What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of PWA! SD was interesting this week, what with Edge's return. The magical number all throughout the night was 12:13, and I will tell you why. Let's begin!
Since Edge became WWE champion at Survivor Series, we kicked off the night with him. Vickie introduced him, and she was absolutely gushing. So Edge comes out and starts saying that he wasn't even ready to come back, and his health was not yet 100%. Apparently, his grooming isn't either. Am I the only one who thinks he looks like a bum? Anyway, he started getting on the subject of SS, and he got on Jeff Hardy. He said Jeff has a history of letting people down. He said he realized this was his opportunity to succeed, and he did it all for Vickie. He then called Jeff a screw up. I did not find that very tasteful, and neither did Jeff. He ran out, ready to beat the hell out of Edge, but he was stopped by the guards Vickie had stationed around the ring. Then Triple H came out, hit Jeff, and was also going to beat Edge. He was also stopped by guards. Then, from a different side of the ring, lo and behold it was Vladimir Kozlov. He had a mic, and he said he was done with triple threat matches and he wanted the title. Vickie, wanting to settle the issue of who the number 1 contender would be, made 3 beat the clock matches. One each for Jeff, Triple H, and Kozlov. Whoever won their match in the shortest amount of time would be the new number 1 contender.
The first beat the clock match was Jeff Hardy's. He went at it with (The) Brian Kendrick. When it comes to beat the clock matches, I can't decide who has it tougher. The one who sets the time, or the ones who have to beat the time. Regardless of which position puts one under more pressure, Jeff had an ok match. He beat Kendrick in 12 minutes and 13 seconds, setting our magical number for the night.
Eve Torres interviewed Jeff's brother and ECW champion Matt Hardy. He was Kozlov's opponent in the beat the clock challenge. He said he believes that what happened to Jeff was Edge and Vickie's fault. He also said he would do all in his power to assure his brother another title shot.
We had a 6 diva tag team match last night. On one team we had the Bella Twins and Michelle McCool. On the other team we had Natalya, Victoria, and Maryse. This match was really good. There seemed to be some tension between Michelle and her partners, which ultimately cost them the match. While one of the twins was trying to break up a pin fall, they nailed Michelle instead. Causing Natalya, Victoria, and Maryse to pick up the win. After the match, Michelle took it upon herself to berate the Bella Twins, then Maria tried to calm her down. Big mistake. Michelle pushed her down and stormed off. Looks like she's making more enemies than friends.
In our second beat the clock match of the night, Vladimir Kozlov took on Matt Hardy. The question was could he beat Jeff's time. Matt, looking to help his brother, was not about to let that happen. This match was a very well strategized game of keep away, on Matt's part. Very admittedly, during the last few minutes of the match, I was looking at the clock instead of the match. But the important thing is, thanks to Matt's strategy, Kozlov was not able to beat Jeff's time. He was out of the picture.
Our dosage of superstar tag team action consisted of a tag match between Jesse and Festus going against the Miz and John Morrison. In a bit of a deja vu from last week, Morrison stole the ring bell in the middle of the match and rung it. Festus returned to hi comatose state, while Jesse was getting his @ss handed to him outside the ring. The ref deemed the Miz and Morrison disqualified, giving the win to Jesse and Festus. Then they decided to play with Festus. The got in the ring with the bell and started ringing it to mess with him. Once, the Miz accidentally dropped the hammer on the bell, and Festus went to chase them down.
Making a triumphant return after being on the shelf for a while, MIIIIIIISSSSSSSSTTTEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR KEEENNNEEDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY . . . . . . . .KEEENNNEEDDYYY!!!!! interviewed Triple H last night. Triple H said that he would quite simply, beat Shelton Benjamin, and become the number 1 contender.
Our final beat the clock match of the night was contested between Triple H and Shelton Benjamin. Again the question, could Triple H beat Jeff's time? This match was alright. Triple H would have beaten Jeff's time, but he accidentally hit the ref. So when he was ready to pin Benjamin, poor Mike Chioda wasn't. The result of this match was a bit puzzling. It appeared that Jeff Hardy and Triple H both beat their opponents in exactly 12 minutes and 13 seconds. I don't know what to call this, so I'm sticking with . . . draw. At least for now. I'm guessing this will be solved next week.
Well people, that was SD. A quite interesting show last night. That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA! Take it easy.
