    PWA!: Blood Feud

Sunday, March 1, 2009, 09:52 AM CST [General]

What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of PWA! Once again, sorry for dropping off the face of the earth! Super duper busy, but, in light of SD's triple main event, I just had to post a blog. I've much to tell you, let's begin!

John Cena promised Vickie Guerrero on RAW that he would follow her to SD. As promised, John made his first appearance on SD in 2 years. He kicked off the night by saying that the world heavyweight championship was held by a coward. And of course, he wants a rematch. Edge came out and accepted Cena's challenge, only to be interrupted, as Jeff Hardy would say, by "a pitiful excuse for a General Manager". Vickie came out and said that Edge would not be putting up his championship. She the proceeded to put John in a match against the Big Show.

WWE tag champions, Carlito and Primo put their titles on the line against World tag champions, John Morrison and the Miz. The Colon bros, had to forget the Bella Twins momentarily to defend their championships, which they were doing a great job of doing, until the twins came out. This didn't matter because Carlito and Primo won the match and kept their gold! Afterwards, I can safely say they were forgiven by the Bella Twins.

On the next Monday Night RAW, Shawn Michaels will face Vladimir Kozlov for the right to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. But before facing the Showstopper, Kozlov had to face the Demon of Death Valley. This match was nothing short of awesome. 'Taker can really bring it to Kozlov, and I do believe I saw a look of surprise on Kozlov's face. It's hard to tell since he never changes his expression. Anyway! Kozlov would not be defeated, and he picked up another win.

Last week it was announced that Jeff Hardy would take on his brother Matt Hardy in one on one action. Well Matt came out to the ring with his game face on, and his eyes were fixed on the entrance ramp. Jeff's music hit, and Jeff Hardy came out. In a flannel shirt and jeans. He came to the ring, and flat out told Matt that he wasn't going to fight him. He said Matt was his brother, and brothers always had to be there for each other. Hearing this, Matt slapped Jeff across the face. Jeff once again said that he wasn't going to fight, and Matt slapped him again. Jeff then proceeded to walk out of the ring, his fans cheering him for being the bigger man :)

After having his butt handed to him by John Cena on RAW, Chavo Guerrero faced Shelton Benjamin. MVP was commentating at ringside. You could say that Benjamin was a little distracted with his rival at ringside. However, Benjamin did manage to throw Chavo on top of Montel. In the end, this didn't matter, as Chavo picked up a surprising win! Afterwards, MVP drive-by kicked Benjamin.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, our Main Event. A one on one bout contested between John Cena and the Big Show. This match was great. Really great action. Since the beginning, Show was man-handling Cena, but Cena was able to build some momentum and we saw a deja vu of a Wrestlemania moment when John hoisted the giant onto his shoulders for a thunderous FU! Unfortunately, a distraction by Edge cost Cena his momentum and the match.

Well people, that was SD. All in all, a great show. Well that's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA! Take it easy.

    PWA!: Coexisting Until The Chamber

Sunday, February 8, 2009, 10:14 AM CST [General]

Hey beautiful people! Welcome to another edition of PWA! I apologize for dropping off the face of the Earth! I realize it's been a while since I've posted a blog. I've been really busy with work and family. But I'm here now, so let's begin!

With only two spots remaining for the WWE championship Elimination chamber at No Way Out, GM Vickie Guerrero put together a qualifying Battle Royal for one of the last two spots. Before it started, she announced that Jeff Hardy would be invoking his rematch clause for the WWE championship, so there was only one spot left. This Battle Royal included the likes of the Great Khali, Vladimir Kozlov, and Chavo Guerrero. In the end, Vladimir Kozlov dominated his way to victory, and to No Way Out.

Earlier in the night, Hurricane Helms told Todd Grisham that he was disgusted with what Matt Hardy did to his brother Jeff at the Royal Rumble. So Matt decided to come out and tell Helms that if he had a problem with him to say it to his face. Hurricane came out and a fight between former friends ensued. This ended when Matt knocked out Helms.

After a 20 week losing streak, MVP has come up on some momentum. This week he took on US champion Shelton Benjamin. The match was great, both styles meshing very well. Since starting his winning streak, MVP has started to regain his cockiness and his ego. This was not good news for Benjamin as MVP picked up the win!

We had some 6 man tag team action Friday night. The team of John Morrison and the Miz and (The) Brian Kendrick took on the team of Primo and Carlito and R-Truth. As all tag team matches, this was awesome. Ezekiel Jackson was at ringside, after being forced to leave last week. But in the end, Morrison, Miz, and Kendrick picked up the win.

Getting beat up can take its toll on people. After being beaten by Michelle McCool, Eve Torres decided to make her wrestling debut, against McCool herself. Eve did very well in her first match on SD, but she has alot to learn. Michelle's experience helped her pick up a win over Eve, but it was Maria that ran McCool out of the ring.

Since making his return to television, Umaga has been doing what he does best. Beating the hell out of every and any thing or body who gets in his way. This week he took on Kung Fu Naki. Umaga knocked him out early in the match with a foot to the face, and was able to Samoan Spike his way to an expected victory.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, our Main Event. A tag team match contested between the team of Triple H and the Undertaker, going against the team of Edge and the Big Show. Going into this match, the burning question was whether or not these two teams could coexist. As Edge pointed out earlier in the night, Show had walked out on him before. As for Triple H and the Undertaker, they're opponents at No Way Out, and they don't team too often, Nonetheless, the match was great. There was some tension between Edge and Show. During an argument, Big Show knock-out punched Edge, allowing the Undertaker to pick up the win for his team.

Well people, that was SD. All in all, a great show. Don't forget to tune into RAW tomorrow night for the return of the Nature Boy, RIC FLAIR!!!!! That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA! Take it easy. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

    Main Event Plaza: IED

Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 10:56 AM CST [General]

What's up friends? Welcome to another edition of Main Event Plaza! This will not be a regular review blog, but I will offer my opinion on some major points. I do that occasionally. Let's begin!

Last week, Randy Orton punted Vince McMahon in the head while Vince was in the process of firing him. Mr. McMahon suffered a concussion. It was confirmed that Randy would be reprimanded Monday night. So Randy came out on Monday with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. He also brought along his two lawyers and his therapist. Apparently, Randy has a condition called IED, or Intermittent Explosive Disorder. According to Wikipedia, "Intermittent explosive disorder (IED) is a behavioral disorder characterized by extreme expressions of anger, often to the point of uncontrollable rage, that are disproportionate to the situation at hand." This means that with any provocation, Randy can do something stupid that he has no control over.

Randy stated that the WWE knew of his condition and did nothing about it. So basically, what happened two weeks ago was not his fault, and Stephanie McMahon couldn't fire him. He threatened to sue Stephanie and the WWE if they fired him. You're probably thinking that Stephanie could just take away his title opportunity at Wrestlemania. Wrong. Randy threatened another lawsuit for breach of contract if she tried to do that.

At the end of the show, Stephanie came out and called Randy out. Randy came, again followed by his two lawyers and his therapist. They reminded Stephanie of the consequences if she tried to fire Randy. She was not pleased. She asked Randy how he could dare to threaten her. She basically had Randy begging her to fire him, so he could press the lawsuit. All of the RAW roster came out, and Randy said he didn't care if the didn't have a Wrestlemania, because he was planning to terminate the company.

Stephanie didn't fire him, she said that would be too easy. Then we all heard Shane McMahon's music. Shane-o came out and he too was not pleased. He took of his coat, handed it to one of the superstars and came down to the ring. Once he was there, he just started beating the living hell out of Orton. Cody amd Teddy tried to help their leader but Shane beat them up too. He was taking Legacy all by himself. Everytime it seemed as though he was finished, he brought it on harder. Randy managed to crawl away to the backstage area.

Well people, what do you think of this situation? Personally, I don't know which side of the line to be on. On one hand, from the look on Randy's face after he punted Mr. McMahon, I'd say he couldn't control it. On the other hand, Randy has punted plenty of superstars, past and present, without any provocation. But I'm interested to hear what you think about this. Well, that's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading Main Event Plaza! Take it easy.

PWA!: The End of the Beginning

Sunday, January 25, 2009, 10:31 AM CST [General]

What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of PWA! Last night's SD marked the end of the road to the Royal Rumble, ironically, the Royal Rumble is the beginning of the road to Wrestlemania. There's much to cover, let's begin.

After Jeff Hardy's pyro accident last Friday, it was discovered that the pyro had been tampered with. Edge felt the need to publicly state that he didn't do it. He said that he had nothing to do with the things that have been happening to Jeff. Edge also said that Jeff was making a big mistake still defending the WWE championship against him at the Royal Rumble. Just then, Jeff's brother Matt came out and beat the hell out of Edge.

Weeks ago, we all got a taste of how Shelton Benjamin and the Undertaker work together. This week, Benjamin took on the Deadman again in one on one action. This match, like the last one was great. Benjamin is a very gifted wrestler and can really bring it to the Undertaker. That still wasn't enough, because the Phenom came out victorious!

As of late, many of us have been calling Chavo Guerrero a go-fer. He wheeled Vickie Guerrero around, and always did whatever she told him to. However, he said he was not a go-fer, and that he did all of those things out of love and admiration for Vickie. Unfortunately, he was facing the Great Khali, and couldn't defend his family name. A Punjabi plunge cost him the match, and his dignity.

We then turned to Vickie Guerrero and Edge in her office. Since he was attacked by Matt Hardy earlier, he was demanding back-up. Vickie said she had everything under control, and she then proceeded to put Edge and Matt in a no DQ match. Edge came to the conclusion that Vickie didn't believe him either. She simply said he had to "Man up!".

Recently turned heel Michelle McCool teamed with Natalya to take on the Bella twins. This match would have been very nice, but it was cut short with an interference by Maria. After weeks of attacks from Michelle, she probably wanted some revenge. She was unable to get it, and got beat up once again by McCool.

Per GM Vickie Guerrero's orders, Edge went one on one with Matt Hardy in a no DQ match. The match was good, Matt got to let go of a bit of his anger towards Edge. That is until Jack Swagger felt the need to interfere. Since it was no DQ, his presence wasn't reprimanded. Then Mark Henry joined the fun, then he and Swagger helped Edge spear his way to victory.

We had a champions vs. champions tag team match Friday night. Primo and Carlito took on the Miz and John Morrison. This match was great. Lots of near falls. Surprise tags seem to have become a trend as of late, and one helped the Miz and Morrison pick up the win.

After aiding MVP last week in the Last Man standing match, Triple H was forced to face Vladimir Kozlov. The question was whether the Game would be the first man to defeat the Moscow Mauler. But, surprise surprise, Vickie stopped the match midway through the action and made it a handicap match. Kozlov's partner would be the Big Show. Of course, even Hunter can only take so much, and he was not able to pick up a win. Handing the victory to Kozlov and Show.

Well people that was SD. All in all, a good show that marked the end of the road toward the beginning of the road to Wrestlemania. That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading PWA!. Take it easy.

Main Event Plaza: No Chance in Hell

Tuesday, January 20, 2009, 09:28 AM CST [General]

What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of Main Event Plaza! This past Monday night was supposed to be a happy occasion, what with the return of Vince McMahon. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst, but not before somebody had a fantastic night. Let's begin!

We kicked off the night with a 6 man over-the-top rope challenge. The participants were Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, Santino Marella, and Kane. Santino's stupidity caused him to be the first man eliminated. Followed by Kofi and Cody. Kane thought he had eliminated Teddy, but his feet didn't touch the floor. Kane was in the process of eliminating Orton when Teddy eliminated him, and himself, to grant Randy the win.

Kelly Kelly had a match with Beth Phoenix last night. Kelly has improved her in-ring game, but it wasn't quite enough. Beth was able to slam her for the win. Afterwards, Santino suggested that he and Beth take Rosa Mendes as an intern. You know, the crazed psychotic morbidly obsessed fan of Beth Phoenix? Well, she said she'd think about it.

While Randy Orton was celebrating his victory, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase told him that they had seen Sim Snuka and Manu in Stephanie McMahon's office. They had heard a rumor that Stephanie was planning to fire Randy that night. Randy went to confront Stephanie in her office. He started sucking up to her so he wouldn't lose his job. Stephanie saw through all of this. Randy then began insulting her, which led the GM of RAW to slap Randy across the face.

After 2 Intercontinental title matches in a row, in which both men had been disqualified, William Regal and CM Punk would face one last time in a no DQ match. Punk had the advantage very early on in the match, as he was wrestling in his hometown of Chicago. The match was great, and not even a slight distraction from Layla was going to get in Punk's way. In the end, a GTS landed him the win. Ladies and gentlemen, your new Intercontinental champion, CM Punk!!!

Last night was the official contract signing for the World Heavyweight championship match at the Royal Rumble between John Cena and JBL. After the documents were signed, Cena turned his attention to Shawn Michaels. He told him that the man he faced last week was not JBL's puppet. He was still the Showstopper, and he still had it in him. And that all his peers and all the fans still loved him, and he was still Mr. Wrestlemania. Shawn didn't let any of this get to him, and simply said, "I'm sorry you feel that way John." It looked like he was about to superkick him but he left the ring and JBL gave John the clothesline from hell.

For quite some time now, Mike Knox has been attacking Rey Mysterio. The two would face for the first time ever last night. When Todd Grisham asked Knox why he had attacked Mysterio, he said he didn't know. He just attacked him for no particular reason. Well the two went at it and it was a pretty nice match. At least up until Knox caught Rey's 619. Knox then proceeded to beat the hell out of him, and was disqualified.

After this bout, Stephanie walked into he office, only to see Chris Jericho sitting casually on her couch with a water bottle in his hand. According to him, Mr. McMahon was going to let him plead his case in the hopes of being rehired.

John Morrison and the Miz were hoping for one of them to take on "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan last night. They saw Cryme Tyme instead, who challenged them to a match. If they won, the would get a title opportunity for the world tag team championships. The match was great, and in the end, Cryme Tyme picked up the win!!!

Melina gained some major momentum Monday night by defeating tone-deaf dying starving stray cat, Jillian. After the match, Beth Phoenix, Santino Marella, and Rosa Mendes came down to the ring. Rosa then attacked Melina, which prompted Beth to attack Melina also. Beth then rather clearly stated that she didn't need any help beating Melina.

Now ladies and gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for. . . . Vince McMahon's return!!! Before he came down to the ring, he introduced himself to Dolph Ziggler. For once, Ziggler was actually speechless. Vince came down to the ring and told us that after his accident, he was feeling great. As promised, he let Chris Jericho plead his case. But, he let Stephanie decide whether or not to reinstate him. Stephanie made Jericho apologize to her if he wanted his job back. He did, shocker. Then she made him apologize to the WWE universe. On his knees. It was the single most hilarious thing since Vickie screamed like a banshee! He apologized making him as hypocritical as he claims we all are.

Vince and Stephanie were sharing a very special hug when they were interrupted by Randy Orton. He demanded that Stephanie apologize for slapping him, completely disrespecting her. Stephanie was ready to slap him again, but Vince stopped her, and insisted on dealing with Randy alone. Then Vince was demanding that Orton apologize to his family and treat them with respect. Orton refused, and as Vince was about to fire him, Randy slapped Mr. McMahon. Then to top it all off, he punted him in the head!!!!!!!!!!! Randy Orton punted the Chairman of the WWE in the head!!!!!!!!! Vince was then carried of by EMT's with a crying Stephanie at his side.

Well people, that was RAW. Very bittersweet. It was going to be a great night. CM Punk became the intercontinental champ, and Vince was in a jovial mood. There's no doubt that Randy will be fired. Vince just came back, now he's hurt again. Let's give Mr. McMahon all of our love and hope that he gets better soon. That's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading Main Event Plaza! Take it easy.
