What's up beautiful people? Welcome to another edition of Main Event Plaza! They say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. This is held true, and RAW was no different. We celebrated the 64th birthday of Vince McMahon, and we got to see the Chairman in action. Let's begin!
Seeing as the WWE championship match at Summerslam was bathed in controversy, Vince made a rematch at Breaking Point. John Cena and Randy Orton will fight for the WWE championship in an I Quit match. If anybody interferes on Orton's behalf, he will immediately by stripped of the title. Vince was then joined by DX, who threw him a birthday party. Showgirls, Elvis, Cirque de Soleil, the whole nine yards. The only thing Vince didn't seem to like was BDJ coming out of a cake :) Mr. McMahon's party was crashed when Legacy decided to attack DX. Triple H then proceeded to challenge Legacy and Orton to a match against DX and their partner, Vince McMahon!
Since his return to RAW, it doesn't seem that the Miz is in a very good mood. He took on Santino Marella, and although Santino has been getting better in the ring, it wasn't enough to beat the Miz. Miz picked up the win quite easily, getting him one step closer to the U.S. championship.
Our guest host, Floyd "Money" Mayweather, set up a six-diva tag team match. The team of Mickie James, Gail Kim, and Kelly Kelly took on the team of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, and Alicia Fox. Mickie has been on top of the world since becoming Divas champion, but Phoenix has also had her fair share of glory. In the end, Fox was able to pin the Divas champ, picking up the win for her team.
We all know that the Big Show was embarrassed by Mayweather at WMXXIV. So Show came out with his girlfriend Christina and started talking smack. Mayweather then came down to the ring with his entourage. Some words were exchanged, till MVP came out to clarify some things. He said Mayweather is the greatest boxer in the world. And he told Jericho what many of us have wanted to tell him, "SHUT UP!" He then challenged the champions to a title match against him and the partner of his choice. And who did he choose? Mark Henry! And much to all of our delights, MVP and Mark Henry picked up the win! Our new Unified Tag Team champions are MVP and Mark Henry!
In the latest match in the series of humiliation for Chavo Guerrero, he took on Hornswoggle in a boxing match. Except Chavo had to use gloves that were as big as Hornswoggle. Chavo didn't seem to like the big gloves, so he took them off and punched 'Swoggle for a DQ. As Guerrero was about to further harm his opponent, Evan Bourne came to Hornswoggle's rescue.
It seemed a little strange to see Vince team up with his long-time hazers, DX. But the past was put aside and they united against Orton and Legacy. They fought hard, and were able to chase Orton from the ring. As Orton was heading up the ramp, his path was blocked by John Cena. Cornered, Orton returned to the ring where HBK gave him some Sweet Chin Music. And as if that weren't enough, John made Orton pay for his sins by giving him a huge Attitude Adjustment. This gave way to Vince pinning Orton for the win!
Well people, that was RAW. A great show, that I'm sure Orton, Big Show, and Christina will never forget. If you're wondering who the fan was that interfered in the WWE championship match, it was Ted DiBiase's brother, Brett DiBiase. Well that's all I got for right now. Thank you for reading Main Event Plaza! Take it easy.
