After almost a year of absence in this good ol' WWE Universe profile of mine (I recall that it was still WWE Fan Nation before I took on a hiatus, but what the heck), now I'm back to tell a story. Well, it's not a love story, nor does it concern the welfare of the WWE, but it's something related.
I'm thrilled to know that WWE is going back to Manila this July! It's been three years since they came here, and more than a decade before that when they visited us again. I can still recall the chills I felt when the Undertaker came out of the backstage curtains to grace us Creatures of the Night/Phenom's Death Crew with his presence. Darn, I will never forget that night.
I'm thinking of watching it again this July, but this time, I'm thinking of watching it from a closer view. Good thing I was able to save some cash for a lower box seating, but I still haven't bought myself a ticket. Boy, I gotta buy one and soon!
And when I do get to watch the WWE Live tour two months from now, I think I shall wear my Undertaker costume.
And speaking of costume, here it is, my Undertaker costume. It's not perfectly accurate, as I just used makeshift wardrobe for this.
I've worn this costume four times already, and I don't think I will ever get tired of wearing it at events we call "cosplay conventions", as it is my ultimate statement as to how dedicated I am as a fan of the Undertaker. And apparently because of that dedication, I've been invited to stage in cosplay skits to portray the Undertaker and engage in staged "wrestling matches". Not only did I get to dress up as the Phenom, I also got to learn the lesson "Don't try this at home"; well, technically, I wasn't at home when we did it.
Opportunity knocked into me when JACKTV, the cable channel that shows WWE in the Philippines, hosted its first "animation festival". They organized a cosplay contest, subdivided into three categories: one of them was "WWE Superstars". It was a no-brainer to me that I would join as the Undertaker, and I was surprised to find out that there are two others who joined, portraying John Morrison and Carlito, respectively.
However, I found it disappointing that there were only three of us in that category, and I was the odds-on-favorite by the audience, hence the reason for my victory. Oh well, too bad that the event didn't get enough advertisement, but still, I had fun, though I had to keep "in character".
And so, here I am now, thinking of wearing the Undertaker costume for the fifth time at the Araneta Coliseum, hoping that THE Undertaker would see me show my loyalty and homage to his legacy and legendary greatness. I just also hope that he comes by come July 10th. Then again, the spirit of the Phenom lives well deep within me anyway.
Okay, so much for my return blog. I'm going back to my Multiply for now. Until next time, I guess.
And so I return to blog here...
My warmest kudos!
This might be too late, but I posted this blog in order to congratulate the folliwing people:

Edge, for drawing the ire of his wife, Vickie Guerrero; and later the wrath of the Undertaker;

Tommy Dreamer, for giving Colin Delaney what he just deserved after being ungrateful to him;
Mark Henry, for being the first one to hold the new ECW title;]

and finally, Mike Adamle, for being named the new RAW General Manager and blowing up a possible WrestleMania 25 highlight by announcing John Cena vs. Batista at Summerslam.
My warmest kudos!
(Pardon the sarcasm for some parts of my blog; I can't help but be so. XD)
Debut blog post, anyone?
And by writing this blog I officially welcome myself to the online world that is the WWE Fan Nation. How appropriate.
Anyway, so far, I'm the only one of my kind to ever have an account here, and I meant to say that I'm so far the only Filipino in here; unless I'm proven wrong. And I do hope I am soon. I mean, I don't want to feel alone here, do I?
And with regards to the initials WWE, I think I should ask this question. With WWE Fan Nation being an online social network like Friendster, only with the taste of WWE, is it necessarily a must to post things related only to WWE?
You see, WWE is not my only passion. Call me a weirdo, but I also love Japanese anime, and I can see that wrestling and anime are two different worlds, and as much as I love to combine those two, the combination doesn't seem to work, or the two just won't blend together.
Well anyway, regardless of that stuff, I just hope everything works out fine here. And maybe, just maybe, people will notice me for being me. I hope to gain online buddies here, and it would be my honor to receive replies from my favorite WWE Superstars. That alone is a dream come true. After all, the only closest I've been to any WWE Superstar is by the photographs I got to take during 2006's RAW and SmackDown live tours in Manila.
I guess that's it for my debut blog post. I can't think of a good catchphrase so far, so I'll leave it blank for the moment. Hahahaha~
