    My Summer Tour! Part 2

Sunday, June 22, 2008, 09:44 PM GMT [General]

Friday night i took a trip to Edlington to catch a 1pw show! Nigel McGuiness was defending the ROH title....i was surprised by the venue, a small, dank, WMC on the edge of town. The match wasnt anything special, but it was good to see the champ. And i got to see Bison Smith. After only reading about him online, and usually skipping his matches on DVD's i was curious to see what he could do! He seemed like a decent power wrestler. The next night in Coventry, they both put on a hell of a performance.  Highligth of the night was Project Ego's victory over the damned nation for the tag title. Ego's a fantastic team, full of charisma, double moves, and a more polished act than any other team on the circuit. Lots of big moves, and lots of laughs.

After a heavy night, it was another trip to Coventry to see NOAH "European Navigation 2008" . Noahs first time out of japan so i was expecting this to be the highlight of my week!

Opened with a dark match with english guys. Hubba Bubba Lucha (Bubblegum & El Ligero) & Luke Phoenix def. Dave Moralez, Mark Haskins & Zack Sabre Jr. They put on a match that was as good as anything else on the show.

Doug Williams & Nigel Mcguniness def. Kotaro Suzuki & Takashi Sugiura. The boys got a huge reaction, and everyone sang along to Vindaloo!!! Great match.

Bison Smith & Jun Akiyama def. Mohammed Yone & Takeshi Morishima.....bison is impressive and worked hard. Morishima was injured and looked like he was in great pain. Im told he lost his luggage so spent the afternoon searching the shops for some wrestling gear........i walked around the town and marked out big time every time i saw someone oriental......ok, they werent all wrestlers, but hey, they may have been!

KENTA & Taiji Ishimori (c) def. Bryan Danielson & Eddie Edwards....easily the best match ive seen live this year! Danielson is the best around.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru (c) def. Jay Briscoe...average...

Mitsuharu Misawa & Naomichi Marufuji def. Go Shiozaki & Kenta Kobashi....i bought a big foam hand to mark the occasion. See my pics! it was great to see the legends! Kobashi chopped the hell out of everyone! Whoo!
