Recently I was looking around at the community blogs when something caught my attention. There was a blog post that said(the poster shall remain anonymus) "I don't want any gays on my site. any gays will be removrd." I find this uneceptable. There is no room for racism in the WWE universe. Wrestling fans come from all walks of life. It does not matter what their race, creed, or sexuality is. Because we all have the same thing in common. We are all wrestling fans. We all bleed the same blood. we all have the same love for wrestling. We all have passion in are hearts. To hate someone simply because of their sexuality makes me want to cry. Though there are things that we disagree on, we all have one common enemy that threatens us all : racism. But we can be the example. If we can show the world that wrestling fans from all over this world get along for the love of wrestling and have thrown hate out window, then it is possible for the rest of the world to do the same.
Wrestling Stereotypes
The most common critisism that I ear about wrestling is that its gay. To be more specific, that wrestling has ****-erotic overtones. First of all, wrestling is the worlds oldest sport, having appeared in the first olympic games thousands of years ago. Secondly, while it is true that wrestling features two men grappling one another, I don't see how this is gay. What about in pro football when one player slaps another player on the ass? For some reason, this isn't considered gay but a wrestler applying a full nelson to another wrestler is? Before you you start saying anything just know this, I have NO problem with people who are gay. One of my best friends in high school was gay, and he and I were both huge WWE fans. In fact, if you look around you'll see a lot of ****-erotic overtones in sports. Like when a quarterback is standing behind center when the ball is hiked, or even in MMA when one guy takes down another guy and is right on top him. So please, stop being saying that wrestling is gay. Because at the end of the day, we are all human.
Christian
Christian is back!!!!!!!!!!
I was completly surprised with his return on ECW. I wasn't really paying attention to Jack Swagger, but as soon as that music hit and I saw his face on the titan tron, I was estatic! It's great to have Christian back. He proved he could be a main-eventer in TNA, and I know he will be great on ECW. Peeps unite!!!
Gimmick Matches
I am a stickler for gimmick matches (Ladder, table, TLC, steel cage, first blood ect.) I like these matches because they add a little flavor to wrestling. Instead of winning by pinfall or submission, some could win by throwing their opponent in a dumpster or making them say"I Quit." Over the years, I have come up with my own ideas for gimmick matches. FOUR POLES OF PAIN-four poles are tied to all four ring posts. Hanging from each pole is a weapon. For example a chair, steel chain, kendo stick, guitar. Any time during the match a superstar can climb one of the four poles and grab said weapon to use in the match. LAST MAN STANDING CELL MATCH-its a last man standing match, but the whole thing takes place inside the hell in a cell structure. ANARCHY MATCH-this is an eight man elimination tables match, but in order for someone to be put through a table, they must first be made to bleed. So, what do you guys think? Do you have any gimmick matches of your own?
Hall of Fame
I have been reading a lot of forums discussing who should be in the hall of fame. And in the majority of them, one name is mentioned. Chris Benoit. All of us are aware of what happened with the Benoit family. Out of respect, I will not go into the details. Some say Chris Benoit should be in the hall of fame, otherssay he should not. There are even those that would prefer that his name never be mentioned again. I have something to say that I have wanted to say for the past two years now: I forgive Chris Benoit. We should not dwell on the way his journey ended, but rather the road he traveled. Chris Benoit was one of the greatest in ring technicians I have ever seen. I even had the luck to see him in action live. Will Chris Benoit ever be inducted into the hall of fame? I do not know. But in my mind at least, he will never be forgoten.
