Hey Everyone. This is a touchy subject, so I know I'm going to catch a TON of heat from you for this but it's truly how I feel. So with no further ado, I give you My Opinion on HBK. Actually, the (Farewell??) broadcast from his home on Raw, Monday night. Many of you already know my feelings on HBK, but for those of you who don't, here it is. I admit, He's a great performer. I think he's very entertaining to watch. Unlike others(I won't mention by name), like the ones already being billed as the SummerSlam Main Event for the Raw lineup, I don't turn my channel when HBK comes on. I watch. He's also good at working the mic. NOW, having said all that, just as Y2J, I can't stand his ethics. Morally, he rates a "0" in my book. Many or all of you saw the little teary eyed broadcast he did. I've seen many comments and blogs on Fan Nation, from members who were saddened, hurt, appauled, and sickened at what Y2J did to HBK at the GAB. Well again, as I keep telling you, it's a work, just the storyline. But as for all the "my eye is damaged, I'm hurt, lets all feel sorry for Shawn, boo hooing!!!" Save it. I don't wanna hear it. First off, if he would've truly got hurt, it would've been NOTHING MORE than he deserved. Secondly. Many of you know I'm a former wrestler myself. I've seen guys get their necks broken, backs broken, and legs broken. Ive seen guys lose so much blood they needed to have a transfussion afterwards, as well as guys who were paralyzed, ALL IN THE RING. In fact, I'm looking at not 1, but 2 scars on my left forearm that run the length from my elbow to my wrist that I got in the ring, when landing a moonsault. Both bones in my forearm, snapped and all 4 pieces punctured through the skin, upon impact. I even continued the match however, another 3 minutes. Now 3 minutes may not seem like a long time, but when you have 4 pieces of bone, hanging out of your arm and that arm is totally useless, while blood is just pouring out of you, let me tell you, thats an eternity. I or no one else ever expected(expects) any of you to feel sorry for us, because we know that at ANY TIME, all we have to do is tell the ref that we can't continue or just give up. The underlying story in wrestling is ALL WRESTLERS HAVE TO WIN MATCHES. So what was Y2J supposed to do? Was he supposed to just give up and walk away, losing the match? Not a chance. So he continued, doing the ONLY thing that could be done, because no matter what, the show must ALWAYS go on. And if HBK's "character" was too ignorant to give up, than the "character" got what he deserved. Y2J had to win. Who wants to watch a loser? Think about it. All the heat and hatred you all have for Y2J now, imagine if the WWE put the World Title on him. How much money would WWE make from you, just to see him get beat? In fact, how much money are they going to make off of you when they bring Shawn back for yet another Y2J rematch, maybe at the Rumble or WM 25. Now just imagine if that is for the World Title. So like I said, I know I'm going to catch h*ll from a lot of you. Just PLEASE keep it clean for the kiddies that read. As always, that's my opinion. What's yours?
My Opinion on Matt and Jeff Hardy
Hey Everyone. Once again, its time for my opinion. Tonight's installment is My Opinion on Jeff and Matt Hardy. I personally love to watch these guys. They're great. As a former pro wrestler myself, I think they are the "Now" and "Future" of the business. I would rather see them as the tag team Hardy Boyz though, but with the state of tag team wrestling(or lack thereof), being what it is today, I understand their talents would be overlooked and underappreciated. Having worked with both, Pre-WWE, I know Jeff is the wilder and crazier of the two and is deffinately a risk taker. I once saw Jeff do his swanton bomb out of a balcony about 20 feet in the air, through his opponent on a table. He did this for very little money as there were only about 50 paid tickets sold for the show. Personally, I like Matt's character better, but that's just me. I really liked & wished WWE would bring back his Matt Version 2.0 character as most of you know that I'm a huge heel fan. A lot of you say that Jeff however, shouldn't be in any title pictures because of his demons outside the ring. Well they're just that. OUTSIDE THE RING!!! For what he does to entertain YOU(putting his body on the line several times a week) he certainly deserves title shots. Maybe even down the road, a World Title run. Matt as well. other than CM Punk, name just 1 WWE or World champ that HASN'T, at 1 time or another, taken drugs. You know Steroids ARE illegal drugs too, or atleast thats what we tell the kids. So using your logic, would that mean no more title shots for Cena or Batista? Since they BOTH, more than just experimented. If you're gonna hold someone back for something, don't let your favorites slide by like WWE does when they test. Either hold ALL accountable, or NONE AT ALL. So I say both Matt and Jeff WILL make great World or WWE champs one day. That's my opinion. What's yours?
My Opinion on Tag Team Wrestling
Hi everyone. Tonight's edition is My Opinion on the state of Tag Team Wrestling in the business. I simply see it like this. WHAT TAG TEAM WRESTLING!!!!! Does such a thing even exist? The 3 top teams that WWE has produced in last 2-3 years are London & Kendrick, Ryder & Hawkins, and Miz & Morrison. In the Glory Days of Tag Team Wrestling(1985-2000), ALL 3 of these teams WOULD HAVE been mediocre at best. In fact Tag Team wrestling at one point, was so great, Wrestling held an Annual Tag Team Event, The Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Tag Team Tournament. In which 24 teams would compete over 2 days in an elimination tournament to crown the greatest team in wrestling for that year. You could look in any federation and find MANY MORE than just 1 or 2 Tag Teams and I don't just mean teams thrown together like a Miz & Morrison, or a Fighter & a lillte person. I mean greats like the Freebirds, the Road Warriors(L.O.D.), the Rock & Roll Express, the Midnight Express, the Midnight Rockers, the Powers of Pain, the Nasty Boys, the Hart Foundation, the British Bulldogs, the Dream Team(Beefcake & Valentine), Bad Company, the Mod Squad, the Sheephearders, the Fabulous Ones, the Fantastics, Tatum & Victory, Etc., just to name a few(Lol). I mean the list could go on for days. HOW can you call anything in today's wrestling, TAG TEAM WRESTLING, and truly believe thats what it is?Is Finly & Hornswaggle, Ryder & Hawkins, Rhodes & DiBiase, and Miz & Morrison the best WWE can do??? It's no wonder that with only 3 teams in company( Beer Money, Team 3-D, and LAX), TNA puts ALL of WWE's TAG TEAM DIVISIONS, Raw, Smackdown, and ECW, to shame. TNA's Tag Team Champions, LAX would completely obliterate ANYTHING WWE has to offer. BRING BACK TAG TEAM WRESTLING!!!!!!!
My Opinion on Y2J
Hey Everybody. Sorry I haven't been on in a day or so. I've had a stomach virus and have been resting. Tonight's installment is My Opinion on Y2J. I started watching Chris Jericho in the early 90's, pre-WCW, as a member of a short lived, but tremendous tag team called the Thrillseekers, along with ECW original Lance Storm. I knew early on, these guys, along with Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero would be the future of the business. The team was soon split up though when WCW hired Jericho. I loved watching his matches. Especially against Chris Benoit. I didn't care much for his Lionheart gimmick however, as I've been a long time heel fan since the days of the original 4 Horsemen. Jericho's many matches in Japan, were truly awesome, as he fit in very well with the Japanese style. He left WCW and debuted in WWE as Y2J in the late 90's. Again, I didn't care much for his character, as he was still a face, but loved the new matches he had, again with Benoit. Chris Jericho became THE VERY FIRST UNDISPUTED WWE AND WORLD CHAMPION. Something Cena or Batista was not or IS NOT good enough to do. In fact, has anyone else been undisputed champ? I truly don't remember. If you can think of any, let me know. He left WWE for a while, but upon his return, He was going to save us. He later finally turned heel against HBK. He was ashamed of the crowds reaction to him. Because of HBK's moral and ethical standards, he became a marked man. Y2J FINALLY did to HBK, what I've been waitning a decade to see. Don't get me wrong. As I've told many of you, I like watching Shawn and I admit, he's a great performer. However, morally & ethically, I think he rates a flat 0. We ALL know what he was a part of. So at the Great American Bash, Jericho did what he said he was going to do. Y2J Saved Us, and for this, I give a great deal of thanks. Now the way I see it, since CM Punk has REPEATEDLY bested Batista and JBL has(or should have) completely knocked Cena out of the title picture, this leaves an opening for a CM Punk & Y2J feud. This would make for a tremendous feud as both are outstanding technical wrestlers. With the great heat he picked up from his HBK feud, Y2J would make for an outstanding world champion and get great ratings as fans tune in to see him lose. I love the new, don't care what the fans think, gimmick. So I say, PLEASE CONTINUE saving us Y2J, and hopefully soon, we may see you in another run as the World Champion. That's My Opinion on Y2J. What's yours?
My Opinion on Mark Henry
Welcome to My Opinion on... Tonight I give you My Opinion on Mark Henry. Mark Henry was originally signed by WWE(WWF) after competing in the Olympics in weightlifting. His pre-debut hype made him seem impressive. Very impressive, in fact. After his debut however, he was anything but impressive. He looked like a slow, bumbling, idiot incapable of even selling fire to eskimos, let alone selling a wrestling match for the biggest wrestling company on the planet. Soon after making his debut, He was added to a newly formed group known as the Nation of Domination. Along with lead member Ron Simmons(Farooq Asaad), Kama(The Godfather, Papa Shango), D-lo Brown, and a new WWE(WWF) upstart by the name of Rocky Maivia, Mark Henry could only improve. Maybe he could earn the 10 year deal that WWE had signed him too. Surrounded by such great talent, how could you not pick up even a little info and improve just a bit? Well ask Mark Henry because he didn't and soon after the Nation had disbanned, evidently WWE thought the same. They sent him down to one of their farm systems to gain some MUCH NEEDED experience( This was the BEST thing WWE EVER did with Henry after signing him, taking him off tv). Several years passed and WWE announced the re-debut of Henry. I was exited, because I wanted to be a Mark Henry fan. I was totally let down and unimpressed. Here was truly, the Worlds Strongest Man(at one time), STILL with absolutely no ability. He was Horrible to watch. After pushing him for far too long, WWE decided to put the ECW title on him due to allegations of racism since WWE had no black champions(suddenly two titles went to black wrestlers in quick succession). Well if Henry is the Best ECW has to offer, than WWE truly needs to let ECW Rest In Peace. That's my opinion. What do you think?
