    My roots in The Dungeon

    Hello WWE Universe!
     
    I wanted to touch base with all of you and let you know that the pink and black is here to stay.
     
    Some of you seem surprised at how fast The Hart Dynasty has taken over, but you shouldn't be! The Hart Dynasty is the real deal, and we are the best in the world.
     
    As brilliant as the Dynasty is, we never forget where we came from. On a recent trip to Calgary, I paid homage to where it all started for me...in the Dungeon.
     
    Going back to my roots in Calgary, where the famed Dungeon now lies dormant, brought back a flood of memories for me.
     
    It was more than just a dark, damp room to me.  It's where my grandfather's spirit lies, and all of the people that he trained, who fought for something that they believed in. I have spent countless, priceless hours in that room, discovering more about myself, and what I was made of, than I learned about wrestling. (And I learned a lot of that, too!)
     
    I will never forget what it was like to train there, fight in there, and be a part of something that very few people were lucky enough to take part in. I wouldn't never take back any of the blood, sweat or tears lost in that amazing room. They are irreplaceable.
     
    I wanted to share some special pictures, from a photo shoot I did back in my hometown. They were taken by a friend of mine, who is an up and coming photographer, by the name of Jeremy Adshade. jeremyadshade.com
     
    Jeremy's pictures tell stories and so much can be said in just one photo of his. His assistant Janice, who is an artist, helped to make the shoot more artistic, with all of her extra touches.
     
    My favorite picture taken that day, held the most meaning for me. It's the one where I am looking out the window in the Dungeon. I was able to reflect on where I am now, and where it all began. I can't believe how far I made it...but to tell you the truth, I never stopped believing all of my dreams would come true.
     
    (Who would have thought someone who trained in the Dungeon, would be wearing sequins and stillettos in it?!)
     
    The Dungeon is a lot like Hotel California. You can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave.

    Editor's Note: Just after this blog post was received, it was announced on WWE.com that the Hart Dynasty (Natalya, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith) was traded to SmackDown, as part of a deal made by former Raw owner Donald Trump.

    WTG Natalya.

    I grew up watching your legendary family. You have an amazing heritage and I am happy to have another amazing Hart family member to watch.

    Please don't valet for too long on SD. I would love to see you win the Women's Championship and watch the Hart Dynasty live on in your more than capable hands.

    Hello Natalya,

    My last comment I wrote was just for you. This next one is a tribute for your amazing family.

    What a true legacy Natalya and DH come from. They come from a family who has been in the business for more decades than I can remember.

    While Legacy (the Raw faction) is comprised of 2nd and 3rd generation superstars, Natalya Neidhart (yes, daughter of "The Anvil") has a legacy all her own. She, as well as DH Smith, was the FIRST 4th generation superstar of the WWE. That is an amazing accolade and she wears it proudly.

    DH Smith has filled and continues to fill the enormous shoes of the one and only "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. Like Natalya, he is also a 4th generation superstar who has the power, strength and talent of his father. He does his family proud.

    I grew up watching the Hart Family. It started for me with Bret and the Anvil. What amazing talents they are and were. Every time I got to watch them was spectacular. From the strength, power and sadistic streak of the Anvil to the incredible technical abilities of the Hitman, they were the complete package. When Bret went on his own, I thought that he would be awesome and I was right. Bret had a talent not just for his technical ability, but for his personality. In my eyes and heart, Bret "Hitman" Hart will always be "The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be."

    In a true legacy there will always be one that stands head and shoulders above the rest. That person, to me, will always be Owen Hart. From his "Blue Blazer" days until the day he died, Owen was one of a kind. An amazing in-ring performer was Owen. He tagged with some amazing talents during the course of his short career. Yokozuna, Davey Boy Smith, even the Anvil Jim Neidhart. Owen, I miss you every day and wish you had been around a lot longer, but your style, humor and wrestling legend will live on forever. I'll make sure of that. RIP my friend.

    Now we come to the "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. The word "Powerhouse" just doesn't seem to cut it. I loved watching him with "Dynamite Kid" when they first entered the WWE. They also were an amazing team. They also had speed, power, strength. Watching this team was an incredible privilege I will carry for the rest of my life. Davey went on to compete in the singles ranks and just like Bret he had an amazing ability to win over a crowd with his ability. He, like Owen, was taken from us way too soon. I hope to keep your legend going just as long as I can. RIP my friend.

    Saving the best for last of course, we have the legendary Stu Hart. The "Master of the Dungeon". His legacy will always be immortal because of all the amazing wrestlers he produced from his Legendary Dungeon. I'm talking about superstars like The Hitman,Owen, The Anvil, Davey Boy, plus others such as Ravyn and the late "Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit was also taken long before his time. RIP Chris. You will not be forgotten. The superstars from the dungeon were sound technical wrestlers as well as amazing performers. I know that you Natalya as well as DH will continue the tradition of the legendary "Dungeon" and keep it alive and kicking.

    I can say to you Natalya and DH that you do your family and your true wrestling legacy proud.

    I was always a huge fan of the Harts. The night I saw the formation of The Hart Dynasty, I was sitting at home watching and thinking "Damn, they're going to be talked about for generations."
