I was lying on the floor playing Monster Trucks with my two sons, Aiden and Hunter, we were having a blast. Hunter made his Monster Truck jump right up off of the floor, but instead of landing back on the floor it landed on his hand. He began to cry and come toward me holding up his hand saying "Kiss". So I gave him his kiss, just like magic he was healed and playing Monster Trucks like nothing had happened. What makes the kiss of a parent so special? One word: Faith!
Our children firmly believe that a simple kiss will make the hurt go away. They dispel all doubt and have unwavering faith in the "Kiss". It is actually the faith they hold that heals them. After a few years doubt sneaks its way in and they begin to question their faith in the "Kiss". Slowly the "Kiss" begins to lose its power, until eventually, It's Only a Kiss.
We were all children, once. We all had that same strength of Faith, in one form or another. We had Faith in the "Kiss", magical holiday characters, a higher power and our self. Backing up these beliefs with unwavering Faith gave them life. Questioning the reality, the possibility, the existence of any belief only raises doubt. You cannot have Faith when doubt is present and so, the enchantment weakens. Sometimes it can become lost.
The amalgamation of unwavering Faith and belief leads to phenomenal accomplishments. Some, call them miracles, others may call it luck. Whatever it is it works, the sick become healed, poor become rich. It all comes down to the faith you put into your belief.
So let the Faith of the child that you used to be come out. Put some Faith back into the things you once believed. Put it back into the "Kiss", holiday characters, your higher power and especially back into Yourself. Remember it must be unwavering and no one, no way, no how, can make you think, feel or believe different.
Here's to bringing the Faith back to the "Kiss"
