While online I started chatting with a friend of mine, Jay, he's a "Rock Star". They record in a few weeks and the album should be out by December. This little conversation had got me thinking about the "Titles" that we give ourselves and others.
Can a "Title" have an affect on how we perceive one another and ourselves?
Take being a millionaire for example, every body wants to become a millionaire (except billionaires). But what does it really take to be wealthy? We hear about people who have won the lottery and within a few years end up being in a far worse financial situation than before they had won the money. That is because they were not millionaires before the prize money. They did not have the knowledge about how money works, how to invest, to build assets or how to make another million dollars like a millionaire does. The Money does not make anyone a millionaire.
You may have heard one or two "Rags To Riches" tales in your time. You know how it goes: someone from somewhere overcomes the odds and makes their dreams a reality. It is a secure bet, that if you were to ask any of them how they did it they would tell you that they did not know how they where going to do it but in their mind they were positive that they would become: a Millionaire, a Basketball player or a Rock Star. In their mind they already owned the title that was the easy part; the hard part was proving it.
There's an old adage that goes: "Be it. Do it. Have it." You must first Be the person that you would like to become. Then you must Do what that person does. Only then, will you Have what that person has.
Choose any title You wish. Live it. Own it.

gillie30caI have the book "The Secret" and that is essentially what it says.
The hard part is actually believing it.
