i am late writing my thought on mondat night raw, but here is a quick recap on what went down:
batsita vs paul burchill. batista comes down to the ring with his cocky attitude after beating cena at summerslam. as he is getting into the ring, he tripped. that must have been embarrassing. well, paul works batistas leg that was injured at summerslam. even after this, batista is still pumped from his win the previous night! he got an aggressive spear in on paul. then the batista bomb! batista won!
we are backstage with mike adamle and he introduces carlitos brother primo colon. now i dont know if anyone else noticed this, but i have heard that carlito has been upset lately with wwe for not being used and i kinda felt like that is what they were trying to do when mike introduced primo. mike saw cena and acted like primo was not even there. i dont know, but it was weird.
jillian and katie lea vs. kelly kelly and mickie. this match was pretty good. i think kelly and mickie worked good together. kelly kelly is getting better in the ring! mickie was really ampted near the end with katie and even bringing in jillian. she took them both out. kelly and mickie do a double drop kick to jillian. kelly gets jillan out of the ring. katie rolls mickie up but fails to get the three count. mickie gets the mickie DT and the three count!
jamie noble vs JBL. ok...this is random. JBL starts with the hits. jamie gets in his few too. jamie trys to get the advantage by going after JBLs legs. jamie does an amazing job at first. then JBL catches jamie with the fallaway slam. then he just takes jamie apart. JBL give 6 elbows to jamies sternum. then three thunderous clotheslines!! the ref starts to count and stops and calls for the bell. he says the match is over! JBL wins.
john cena vs ted dibiase jr. and cody rhodes. even though they are heels, with every week, i like cody and ted more and more!!!! they really do a great job in this match. ted and cody get pins on cena but they are unsuccessful three counts. cena jumps off of the ropes but cody ducks and cena flys out of the ring. cody sends cena into the steps. john cena will not give up! now onto the end. cena attempts the FU on cody but ted comes in. cena knocks him out. cody tries to attack but cena trips him into the STFU! now to me, this looked more like a choke. oh well, cena won.
well, what did u think of raw?
I liked the show a lot. Very fine Divas match with Kelly still markedly improving and Mickie dominating (Katie Lea laid down but you can't have everything, although her pants kept coming down too so maybe you can), excellent Batista squash with a vicious spear on Burchill (plus him tripping into the ring was LOL), good Kane promo with good new/old music remix ('the wonder of the world is gone' is gone, thank God), a surprising and welcome burst of logic and continuity when Batista attacked Kane because of what Kane said he did to Rey, Glamarella was wonderful as usual, and Cena even generously sold for DiBiase and Rhodes for ten minutes before he decided to stop selling altogether, Cena'd Up, and squashed them in three moves. Honestly, I expected the squash to happen sooner so I was pleasantly surprised to get some fun double teaming in before the inevitable.
Steve BarnesThey jobbed CM Punk to Chris Jericho's Codebreaker in his hometown! The rule that the hometown boy gets humiliated still stands. Although Jim Ross would say he got off easy. They finally booked Punk against a top guy his size who could make him look good and they made him stare at the lights. The reigning World Champion! Wow. I loved it. How is Chris Jericho not in the World Championship Scramble?
