Well, on April 13th in Atlanta, Ga, the WWE will "shake things up again" with the 2009 Draft. I hope that it will be pretty shocking kind of like last year when JR of all people got drafted as did HHH. I did not have MyNetworkTV at the time so I was not very happy. However, I do NOW, so I am just going to speculate here and state what I would like to see.
I don't have the entire roster memorized, but here are some samples of what I would like to see happen in the draft:
Jim Ross BACK to RAW where he BELONGS. Sorry, Michael Cole is not cutting it and Raw's voice is Jim Ross.
Of course, I want Michael Cole back to Smackdown where he was much better. Less pressure I think.
Edge back to RAW. I think he has done all he can do on Smackdown and I think he needs to go back to Raw.
Christian from ECW to RAW. I think that would be a good fit for him.
Cena to Smackdown. That is where he got his start and I think he has been stale on Raw as of late.
I would put the Undertaker back on Raw. He has been on Smackdown for so LONG.
Jericho to Smackdown I think he would do great on the show.

Well, I must say, I am very disappointed in how all this was handled. As I am sure lots of you heard about the plans for Christian to attack Jeff Hardy at the Rumble and cost him the belt. Well, I am guessing WWE was none too happy and went with Matt Hardy as the perpertrator. Just ridiculous. Here they had a perfect angle to bring Christian in and they do this.
Also, Christian is on what many considered the "C" brand. He would have been much better on Smackdown or Raw. It is my understanding that Edge and Michael Hayes were lobbying for Christian to be on Smackdown. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon is the one calling the shots and put him on ECW. Why? I have no idea.
Sure, Christian will be on tv every week and on PPVs but I just feel he may get lost in the shuffle and, in my opinion, will be lucky to get on the Wrestlemania card. I am VERY disappointed that Christian is going to be on ECW. Christian can get over. He can work the crowd. He can work awesome awesome matches. He can work the mic really well. He deserves better than this. He should be working a top level program with Edge or Jeff Hardy, IMO. I loved it when Christian talked about his "peeps." Loved it. I mean, what a way to introduce Christian to children who don't even know who he is: on ECW the least watched program. I am so disappointed that Christian is on ECW and I am sure (can't speak for him but I can guess) his real life best friend from grade school, Edge is very disappointed as well.

Well, Raw was a bit better than last week. Nice promos by Flair and Jericho, even though I hope Flair does not return as a wrestler (more in another blog). Jericho is awesome in his role. Anyway, the six man tag was fine. I liked the Main Event, but man, I don't see why Taker was there at all. Of course,Shane and his weak punches had to save Taker. Still a little silly. I also noticed lately that the matches are very, VERY short. Even on Smackdown, short matches. What is that about? Seems they want to push the backstage skits than the wrestling. It IS World WRESTLING Entertainment, no? I like the skits, but I want a little more wrestling.
Now, some fun. The contestants for "Dancing with the Stars" including Bam Bam Bigelow's WM11 opponent, Lawrence Taylor (the REAL LT) have been announced. I wonder which WWE Superstars or Divas would do well in the contest? I think: maybe Candice Michelle, Mickie James, HBK, and, maybe the Big Show. Hey if Warren Sapp can nearly win the contest, why not Show? LOL I think Stacey Keibler either won it or finished second. However, in fact, I would like to see the WWE do a "Dancing with the Stars" type of competition on all three brands. Gosh, I would love to see Mark Henry or Khali or JBL try to as we folks stuck in the 70's would say, get down. :)

Well, I am sure alot of you are finding out about the altercation with some idiot fans that Chris Jericho got into after a house show last night. Well, I am sure you have read the accounts and all, so for those who haven't heard: Jericho was leaving the house show and some idiot fan jumped on his rental vehicle and Jericho got out and the fan attacked him and then another moron attacked Jericho and even a girl joined in. Jericho basically snapped and went off on all of them and hit the fans, INCLUDING the stupid girl. Jericho also proceeded to go after everyone and then the idiot guards (where were they anyway?) finally got things under control and Jericho took off and even ran through a stop sign.
I have to say: GO CHRIS. I am not promoting violence, but the man WAS attacked first if you go read more detailed accounts and seen the video. Chris was well within himself to defend himself. I do hope that WWE doesn't take action against him. I know the wrestlers are supposed to control themselves and such and not touch fans, but this guy was attacked by these morons and could have been hurt. I DO feel, however, that Jericho should NOT have punched/hit the girl even though the stupid girl had attacked him.
I know Jericho is a HEEL and it is his job to antagonize the crowds, but I think that those idiot fans took him a little TOO SERIOUSLY. I mean, it is his JOB. He is not Chris Jericho 24/7. When he is not working, he is Chris Irvine. He is a husband, and father and has a life OUTSIDE of his job. It is JUST WRESTLING. It is just a storyline or work or whatever. Jericho did NOT deserve to be attacked for doing his job as an awesome heel. Very scary for him I am sure and I don't blame him for fighting back, and again, I hope WWE does not take action because it isn't fair to him.
Situations like this with idiot fans are another reason that I worry about Edge. He is a great heel and I worry that some fan would attack him like that. Fans just have to not take this so seriously that they would attack a wrestler. Even Orton got into it with some fans at a house show awhile back supposedly. WWE Fans today , even "sports fans" are getting very aggressive, I have noticed. I thought it was just European Soccer fans that went bonkers about soccer. Now, it seems that that disease is spreading. Heckling is fine, but don't touch the superstar.
Of course, there is the expression: one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. Now that this has happened, and I don't know about you, but I am a fan and an autograph hound, and I am afraid this incident may put an end to the wrestlers stopping before or after shows to come over to sign for the fans. The wrestlers hardly do it as much now as it is. I am not saying they have to sign, before anyone misinterprets here. I am also sure there will be tighter security with these guys/gals and they will not be as approachable with the fans as they once were.

Well, WWE creative came up with a much better show. I guess after hearing about Shane McMahon's horrendous punches, they did something to put on a better show. I still didn't like how Shane found a kendo stick and beat up the guys in Legacy. Orton's excuse for their beatdown was a little lame though. Anyway, I liked the show a bit better. Legacy did get their revenge.
JBL and HBK are trying to make chicken salad out of you know what. I hate this angle. HATE HATE HATE. Just ridiculous and full of holes as far as logic. Now JBL and HBK are going to have a match where if HBK wins, he gets his money or if JBL wins, JBL will own Michaels' name for life. STUPID.
The Chris Jericho and Cena bit was a highlight (as well as Legacy getting their revenge). SHould be interesting to see what Flair has to say. I think what they should do about Rourke's involvement is to have Jericho wrestle an opponent of Rourke's choosing and Mickey is in his corner. Then maybe for the finish, Rourke can do the "Ram Jam." Something like that. I just hope all this hoopla over Rourke and such does not cost him the Oscar. He really deserves it. Something similar happened to Eddie Murphy who was a strong candidate for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for "Dreamgirls". He put on a tremendous performance as a serious actor. The thing that pretty much killed his shot was that during the Oscar voting or maybe a little before, a movie he was in called "Norbit" came out and it was just horrible. Voters didn't vote for him because of that Norbit movie. Hollywood is very strange. I thought they were supposed to be judging Murphy's performance based on his performance in the movie he was nominated for....not another movie that is not even nominated. Rourke I am sure said he won't wrestle because there is a fear he would lose votes.
The Jericho/Cena match was fine. Love the idea of the Undertaker coming next week to face Orton. Should be a good match.
