Well, as you all know, WWE in their infinite wisdom changed their Cyber Sunday voting to where you now have to pay them .99  per texted vote that you send them when you vote for the match stipulations. I think this stinks. (I won't say what I really want to because I do not want to get in trouble.) Just stupid if you ask me. Now they are charging fans to text in their vote? I guess the economy has hit WWE also since they are charging fans to text in their votes. Just silly.

The matches are ok so far.  I am hearing that they are gonna pick Stone Cold Steve Austin as referee no matter what the actual vote is. I am like, if this rumor, (remember, it is just a rumor, not that I believe it. I am just reporting it as such) is TRUE.......what is the danged point of the vote?  I would not be surprised if they went against the voting in past Cyber Sundays/Taboo Tuesdays. 

Now, my little pity party.  I guess all of you who read my blogs can pretty much know what this will be about, so I will keep it short and sweet because I know God is trying to teach me patience with this situation and I am TRYING to be a good pupil. LOL 

I miss my Edge. I miss my Rated R Superstar. I really have always looked forward to seeing him on Friday Nights when I was able to watch Smackdown.  Well, now that he is, from my understanding, ready to come back, and here is a nugget: he was in attendance at the FCW tapings on 10/9 but just as a spectator and signed autographs in the parking lot before the show, but anyway, he is ready to return, but it is a matter of "un"creative (including Vince who has to greenlight it) having to get their rear ends in gear and getting him back on TV.  I will have patience though and be obedient to the Lord and hang in there. 

This blog is going to be short and to the point. I would like to extend my condolences to the families and friends of WWE announcers Todd Grisham and Matt Striker.  I am so sorry to hear of the deaths of their fathers to such tragic circumstances.  Horrible.  They are in my thoughts and prayers at this horrible time.

No Mercy is in the books. I thought it was pretty decent.  One of the better ones outside of the "Big 4." this year, IMO. 

Highlights:  HBK vs Jericho: Awesome match. IMO, a Match of the Year candidate. Great stuff. 

HHH vs J. Hardy. One of Hunter's best. He did a great job as did Jeff. Great finish.  Hunter, even though he was playing face, was a little heelish ala Hart in the WM12 Iron Man match against HBK. Great stuff. Glad to see HHH retain.

JBL's promo. LOL  Great stuff. Funny as heck.  Just hilarious.

The fact that every match, even a couple that weren't so good had NO run ins in every match. The Ladder match, you expected Lance Cade to run in, however in every other match: no run ins and no ref bumps. All matches were booked very well. The endings made sense. 

Show and Taker had a nice realistic looking MMA style fight. Vince wants the matches to look more real as MMA and UFC are growing in popularity.  That is why the match played out the way it did. It is my understanding the live audience was a bit confused by the ending, but cheered Taker as he got up.  Good match.

Lowlights:

Hard to get a great match out of Mark Henry.  Matt got an OK match out of him.

Didn't get the DQ ending of Mysterio/Kane. I didn't get adding the stipulation of trying to remove Rey's mask in the first place, and 6 days before the PPV at that! Something like that you BUILD UP over time, not six days before. Besides, I doubt they would ever remove his mask (I know they did it in WCW.) because he is a huge merchandise seller because of the mask (partially).  Just silly if you ask me. 

Candice Michelle looked HORRIBLE in the ring.  Terrible match. Beth did her best to carry her though. I know Candice is eye candy, but she should not be in the ring.

JBL should really retire from the ring. He really does not have it any longer. I know some fans say that about Taker, considering Taker's age and Taker's current health situation, but at least Taker can STILL go. Taker can still have high quality matches, as he showed last night.  JBL, he is a very good heel, in that he can still talk on the mic. My friend loves him. I think he is a little overrated, IMO.  Jericho is a much better heel, and I think JBL is a bit of a blowhard, but Jericho can work. JBL just can not work anymore and Batista is not Flair who was able to get a great match out of people like Lugar.

No Edge. I was kind of expecting Edge to appear during the Taker/Show match. However, evidently, there are different plans to bring Edge back and everything I have heard and read and reported indicates that his return is imminent. Hang in there, my fellow Edgeheads. God is definitely using Edge to teach me patience. That is for sure. :)

Somewhere in Between/Hit or miss:

The MVP/Priceless/Punk Hodgepodge: I guess they HAD to have the "people who are not wrestling on the PPV" skit, right?  We had to have it. Can't be without it.  LOL  This was funny in spots.  Nice to see my boy Orton on there. I think Cody got unnerved by the "boring" chants. (One day I will blog about those chants because I do have an opinion on that.)  Anyway, it was funny when Punk and Kofi kind of pretended to have MVP's back but let him get his butt kicked by the Priceless guys before they joined in. This was a cute segment, but went on WAY too long. Why not put this on Raw or whatever.

The Text Voting.  I think it is silly. It is cute to get the fans involved, but I think it is goofy. It doesn't have a bearing on who wins because what happens in the ring generally is the OPPOSITE of the polls' results if you notice . JMO

All in  all though, it was a pretty decent show.  I would definitely recommend the replay or get the DVD.

First, let me comment on the new Smackdown bit , you know , it being on My Network TV. I do not have the channel, but I watch it at Youtube. I only watch the segments I am interested in. Saw the main event....very good.  Saw Chavo get whupped by Henry/Khali and the bit with Taker and Show.  Saw the 8 man tag and the intro.  Edge is all over that intro which I love. Just waiting for him to grace us with his gorgeous presence. I miss him so much.

Triple H vs Jeff Hardy:

This is too tough to call.  Jeff is being pushed hard.  I can say Koslov (booooo) will almost surely interfere in this match, ruining it (hate interfence and non clean finishes).  I can see them giving Jeff the belt,but I predict Hunter will keep the belt. I think they are setting up Koslov vs Hunter somewhere down the road...possibly Survivor Series?

Matt Hardy vs Henry, I think for ECW belt: I think Matt keeps it. That is my prediction. Matt keeps the belt.

Ladder match: HBK vs Jericho. I am pulling for HBK. However, Jericho wins it.

Candice Michelle vs Beth Phoenix for Women's Title:  I want Beth but I think the company wants to get as much of Candice as they can or whatever.....so Candice wins.

Batista vs JBL....#1 contender.  Too close to call here. I predict Batista wins to be kept happy.

Kane vs Rey.....if Rey loses he loses the mask. No build up? No nothing? Stupid to add the stipulation SIX DAYS before the danged match.  I want Rey but I am afraid that my prediction is Kane. :(

Big Show vs The Undertaker. This match is gonna be tough..as in tough to watch.  Taker has been in alot of pain.....with his knees and a dislocated finger which he popped back in.....yikes!  This match will be bowling shoe ugly. Don't expect HHH vs HBK in this match. LOL Anyway, Vickie is going to lead Show to the title, at least that is the storyline, and taking it out on the Undertaker.  My prediction: Taker does not like to job, but I am thinking Taker will job here and Show will take this contest.  This may be wishful thinking on my part, but perhaps, JUST PERHAPS, in this match, we will see, um, a little , um, oh, let's say, interference from Vickie's HUSBAND FROM HELL. AHEM.

I know it has been awhile since I blogged. Here goes: Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, what is UP?  Dude, you know you are under the gun. You know you have 2 strikes against ya.  Why on earth do you do stuff like what happened at the airport to draw negative attention to yourself like that?  That is not good.  You are lucky the company is gonna turn a blind eye and just let this go. Of course, I do not expect HHH to drop his title to Jeff at the PPV.  He shouldn't either.  Another favorite of the Internet Wrestling Community, much like RVD, bites the dust. I would be surprised if Hardy gets the belt at No Mercy. 

This Monday, in Cincinnati, Oh, the home of the 0-2 Bungals, (my Giants should make them 0-3) WWE will have the 800th Raw. Wow. Isn't that something?  I will be there of course. I am excited to be there.  Can't wait. Maybe we will have some surprise guests or something? I do hope though, that Vince does not panic and hit the reset button due to last week's bad rating....after all MNF's game was the Iggles and the Cowgirls.  Should be a fun show.

Now, Smackdown: all I got to say is:EDGE HURRY BACK.  LOL  The show just drags without the MVP of the WWE....Edge. I can not stand this Kosvlov and HHH can not carry the show by himself and Taker hardly is there full time.  I miss Edge alot.  I like this R Truth. I think he is gonna be something special and I like MVP, but the show just lacks something without Edge.
