A quick Edge note: To get rid of that Edge short hair rumor, Edge was BACKSTAGE at Raw Monday night with LONG HAIR. Not really meaning a spoiler, but he did NOT make his rumored return at this week's tapings so I am sure he won't be going to Europe. So, I am gonna have to wait a little longer. Wonder what Lance Storm meant, by "relatively soon."...hmm. This is just agony for me, but I will put up with it.
Anyway, what I want to say is HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE. Whether you voted for him or not, your new President-Elect is Senator Barrack Obama. This is historic. We have elected the first person of African American descent to our highest office. I, who is also of part African American descent, who is mixed race like Obama, never thought she would live to see this day. This is a great moment , knowing the history of the USA, and it's darker tendencies concerning race and race relations. This is a big step. I am sorry my parents are not around to seet his. I am also sorry to see that President-Elect Obama's grandma is not here to see her grandchild elected. Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King's dream is still being realized, but this historic event is a big step towards that dream. Good luck to our new Administration. Also, congratulations to Senator McCain and Mayor Sarah Palin for a good effort as well.

[General]
Well, as a fellow sister in Christ, I would like to thank the Almighty God that my fellow brother in Christ, Shawn Michaels is not as seriously hurt as first believed. I am so thankful that , even though it is sad he is hurt in the first place, it is just a small tear and that through the power of prayer, Shawn WON'T need surgery. All praise goes to God for this for sure. I am sure Shawn is happy as are all in WWE, fans like myself, and most importantly, his family. The match will go on and, I am sure he will miss some time, but not 4-6 months as I feared. We have too many main eventers/upper midcarders out with various ailments as it is (Cena,Umaga, Orton, Kennedy, Edge) and we haveTaker and Jeff Hardy working hurt. WWE DODGED A BULLET.
Again, all praise goes to God through His Son Jesus in this situation.
I have a special shout out to a Raw Superstar and to a Superstar who is one of my favorite heels. He is on the DL right now with a still injured collarbone. I am still not convinced of that "motorcycle accident," but never freaking mind: Come to praise Randy, not to bury him, paraphrasing Shakespeare. I have a great friend, and I won't mention her name here, but she is a HUGE, HUGE fan of Randy Orton's like I am. She has had quite a few chances to meet him, but they have not panned out for various reasons. There was one time where he was doing a signing in St. Louis and she (she lives near there) could not go. Anyway, to make a long story short, she has waited a long time, like YEARS to meet him. She has been a fan since his debut. Well, as my pastor preaches, God is not an EZ button like we Christ followers want Him to be. He may not act instantly, but He always arrives on time, and , Lord have mercy, He sure did.
This past Saturday, August 30th, Ken Kennedy was supposed to do a signing in the St. Louis area. My friend had tickets for (at this writing's) last night's double taping but could not go because of unforeseen circumstances, BUT, lo and behold, the Lord works in mysterious ways because Kennedy had to drop out of the signing due to the fact he is having shoulder surgery unfortunately (not saying that God hurt Kennedy or anything like that. God would not hurt anyone. So don't take offense, Kennedy fans. LOL), and GUESS WHO was announced as the replacement!! RANDY KEITH ORTON!! When I found this out, my prayers were answered.
I had prayed for my friend to meet Randy for so long. I want this for her. I had met him a few times and he was cool, most of the time. I was so hoping she would just get ONE CHANCE to say hello and to get a photo with him and to meet him. Well, and I am sorry it came at Kennedy's expense, but she got her chance. She, of course, knew about the signing and told me she could not attend the tapings but could attend the signing, so I was so happy that she was blessed with the opportunity to meet Randy Orton.
Saturday night she called me and told me all about MEETING RANDY!! She told me a little bit about meeting him, saying he was nice and all. Then Sunday morning, she gave more details, saying that he was really sweet and took a picture with her at the signing. It was so awesome. She also said he was NOT wearing a sling, either. She also said he is better looking in person. :) She is right about that. The WWE cameras and photos don't do him justice. (Same with my Edge. LOL)
Anyway, I am glad she met him and I want to PERSONALLY thank Randy Orton for being so nice to one of my best friends. It means so much to me that he was so awesome to her. Also, God deserves all the praise here , as He did the miracle for my friend.
I would like to say that I would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Walter "Killer Kowalski who died this morning at 2:15am about 2 weeks after suffering a heart attack. He was removed from life support. He was an awesome heel in his day and he was an awesome trainer of stars such as Chyna and , of course, the Game, Triple H. Kowalski was a fellow Christ follower like myself so I know he is in God's hands now and not suffering any longer. Godspeed Walt and thank you for training one of my all time favorite WWE Superstars who I have met three times and is an awesome wrestler and an awesome person. RIP Walter.
I also want to briefly comment on American History that has been made recently. I will not make this site a political site, but no matter who you are supporting for President, I think it is wonderful that 45 Years after Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr made his "I Have a Dream Speech," , an African American has been nominated by one of the two major parties for President of the United States. The United States STILL has a LONG way to go to FULLY realize Dr. King's dream of a nation who judges people "not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." However, whether you support Senator Obama or not, I think that his nomination is a step in the right direction in realizing Dr. King's dream of equality: that ANYONE, regardless of race, religion or whatever can achieve their dreams.
