Haven't blogged about my boy, Edge for awhile, so here goes:
He was on Liveaudiowrestling again this past Sunday. I can not seem to download the danged thing but here is a recap that I got to read. He basically said he enjoyed his time off. He needed to clear his mind. He went hiking and his beard froze. LOL He went surfing. He had a good time and really needed the time off. He mentioned having the aches and pains just like all the other Superstars and Divas, but this time off was just for his mind. He put over the Undertaker feud as his best feud. He said that he picked the majority of the matches of his upcoming DVD, Edge: A Decade of Decadence (Release Date: Dec 23 so go get it!!) He said it was hard to pick out matches that were already on DVD. Anyway, he said also that he was honored to have worked with Owen and Curt Hennig as well. He also talked about his experience participating in the Food Bank in Toronto saying years ago heels would not normally do something like that, but things change.
Also, if you haven't checked out the exclusive videos on WWE.com, there is one of him, Natalya, and Rocky participating in the aforementioned Food Bank/Special Olympics. It is cool. I loved it when Edge said "It is tiring but rewarding." :) Awwwwwwww. I am reading his book (FINALLY) and I love this guy even more. He is a great guy. :)
I am sure you all didn't think I would be happy with the results of the "Triple Threat" match last night at the Survivor Series, did you? WOW!!I knew there would be a screwjob and I had heard Edge was in Boston, but what a return for the Rated R Superstar. Congratulations my dear on winning your overall Sixth World Title. You deserve it. I am so excited for you. I am so happy to see you back. You look great and words can not describe how HAPPY I am to know I will be FINALLY seeing you on Friday Night Smackdown. I am just so excited about your Title reign. Good luck and God Bless and WELCOME BACK TO WWE!!
Well, I don't mean to spoil Smackdown, but alas, no Edge. He was backstage at both Raw and Smackdown. Of course, he lives in Tampa where Raw was shown and Orlando is about an hour's drive from Tampa and that is where Smackdown was taped so it makes sense, so that is why alot of the sites speculated he would make his return. The Observer's (FW4Online) Dave Meltzer (AND ME AS WELL) can't figure out what the hold up is on his return. Edge is READY so it is nothing on his end as far as his issues with his overall health and burn out so that is fine, Thank God. Evidently, according to Meltzer, if they are waiting for Christian Cage to come over from TNA (if that even happens, and who knows how long Cage has on his contract), then the delay makes sense, and Meltzer also speculates that WWE does not have an angle right now. The original plan was when Taker was in a solid feud, Edge would be brought back......well, Taker IS in a feud with Show, so you would think Edge would have been brought back by now.
Those of you who read my blogs (and I thank you), probably have a good idea how I am feeling about all of this. I don't think I need to write anymore because I think you already know how heartbroken I am about WWE's apparant footdragging in bringing back my beloved Rated R Superstar. From what I have seen, they had plans for the returns of Cena (obviously), Orton, Rey Mysterio, and I am seeing online , even UMAGA , of all people, but they evidently have NOTHING for Edge. Like Meltzer said, it is not like Smackdown has a huge depth of talent on the show. I love WWE and always will, but this footdragging is really testing my patience.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDGE!!! It's your 35th birthday and I hope you enjoy it!! I LOVE YOU. You are my hero and my inspiration, and I hope you have a GREAT, RATED R BIRTHDAY. Not TOO much birthday cake, now. :) KEEP ROCKIN'
Wrestling fans are hilarious sometimes. LOL Hey, I put myself in that category too. We make every little thing these "entertainers." , er Superstars do or say into a huge thing. Fans (short for fanatics) make mountains out of mole hills.
The Rated R Superstar (or Entertainer, take your pick LOL) has done it again and he has not yet returned. LOL On his time off, he has grown a beard, like I have mentioned and fans are going nuts. They are saying it is shocking and blah, blah. What is so shocking? WHen he had the pec tear, he grew one. And? One thing that some are saying is that he put on weight or that he is "fat." Um, a big , well, fat, NO. I have seen other photos a couple of weeks prior to these photos in question (from a signing at FCW taping on 10/9) and trust me. He looks the same and is NOT fat. I don't think these photos that are going around on the net that people are getting worked up about are very good ones, and more importantly, it is the BEARD that makes his face LOOK fat, even though he is NOT. Ridiculous. If you google Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger circa 2005/2006, around the playoffs/Super Bowl, he has a huge beard and his face looks fat as well. That is my opinion.
Check this page out and scroll down and you will find a photo of him taken a couple of weeks prior to the FCW photos:
Even if he has put on a little weight, so? I love him, no matter what. I would love him even if he were bald and weigh 500 pounds. I am not a bandwagon fan and I would abandon him like lots of other fans. I don't see why fans are making this such a huge issue, to be honest. I can not believe I have defend this, really.
