I spent all day today watching Edge's DVD, Edge: A Decade of Decadence, and I thought I would give my review.
The DVD is set up with Edge sitting on a chair and he is IN CHARACTER and he has a huge tub of popcorn and a drink, ala Terrell Owens (Dallas Cowgirl WR and a general pain in the neck) and he talks about the stages of his career that the matches we are watching. He is watching himself eating popcorn. It is very cool.
The first disc contain his early matches with Owen Hart, a match with Curt Hennig that I didn't even know he did, a couple of tag matches with Christian against the Hardys, and later the Dudleys. There are early singles title matches with Lance Storm and Test (IC title matches). Very cool matches. The disc also shows his mom talking about how it was his dream to be a professional wrestling. The Hair vs Hair match against Angle is on here also.
Extras on first disc: a tribute to Edge and Christian. Funny stuff. Just loved it. Miss the pair alot.
This was a cool disc. I had not seen some of these matches. Good to see some of his earlier work.
The second disc gets into his rise from his career threatening neck surgery to IC title holder to the Matt Hardy deal to becoming WWE Champ and his feud with Foley. The disc contains shots of him concerning the neck surgery. Some of the matches on here are the Vengenence 2004 IC Title Match with Orton. There is the NYR 06 Match against Cena where Edge cashes in the Money in the Bank and wins the WWE Title for the very first time. (Note: I know he sold alot of the reaction, of course, but I bet some of the reaction was very real. JMO) There is a match with Kane where Lita gets involved. There is a Matt Hardy match of course. There is the WM22 Match against Foley and the Dreamer,Funk, Beulah vs Foley, Edge, Lita match at One Night Stand 2006. The Triple Threat with Cena and RVD when Edge regains the belt.
Extras on Second Disc: a dark match he did with Christian. He had the contract, but Christian did not. He and Matt Stryker do commentary.
His IC title match with Jeff Jarrett. It is his first IC TItle win and he won it at a House SHow in Toronto. He and Stryker do commentary again. Very cool
This is probably my favorite disc on the DVD. I have been an Edgehead for as long as he has been in the company pretty much, but this is probably my favorite era of Edge, at least starting it....the Rated R Era....when he was with Lita....
Third Disc: This pretty much is where Edge is an established heel and and an established Top Guy in the company. Contains the SSlam 06 match with Cena, a great Raw match with Orton in April of 07, a MITB qualifying match with RVD (who cracked Edge's jaw and knocked him out legit) in Feb 07, and goes through his recent feud with the Undertaker. The matches for that are the TLC match at One Night STand and the HIAC match. Sorry, I still am not a big fan of that HIAC match. Good match, but not a classic.
No extras here. :( Anyway, he ends the DVD, saying that he goes well with WWE together and stuff. Basically bragging on how great he is. :)
Overall, and I haven't listed ALL the matches, mind you, but I gave you an overall impression what is on the DVD. I think Edge, and WWE created a DVD that , well, REEKS OF AWESOMENESS. :) Sorry, that had to be said. It is great for not only Edgeheads like me, but ALL wrestling fans. Edge and WWE did a great job.
Well, I have waited for this day since January of this year when it was announced that WWE was producing a DVD about the world's greatest heel, at least in my not so humble opinion (and the most handsome man on the planet I might add). Well, it was supposed to be Nov 18th, then it was Nov 4th then they changed it to egads, DEC 23rd? Well, today is the day and I went right before work right down to the Best Buy and bought the Ultimate Fan Edition of Edge's DVD. Love it. It contains: Edge's DVD, a Collectible Coin, a Skull Cap (which I am wearing right now and I LOVE IT), and get this: Exclusive Topps Trading card which contains piece of EVENT WORN SHIRT. Is that freaking cool or what? An actual piece of a shirt WORN by EDGE? That is so cool.
I tested the DVD to make sure it is ok and it is so I don't have to take it back to the store. LOL Anyway, I am pooped from work and errands and such so I will be spending Xmas Eve watching the Rated R Superstar. I did see some of it and he IS in character and it is hilarious. He is sitting on a chair or whatever and he gets a tub of popcorn and watches his matches. Who does he think he is? T.O.? LOL Of course, Edge is much more talented than T.O. LOL
I think this is gonna be a great DVD for Edgeheads and wrestling fans. Will give a review once I am done with it.
As you all know, Edge just returned from a self imposed break due to being banged up and being burnt out. Well, according to a Smackdown report on Prowrestling.net, he POSSIBLY, and now, he could have been SELLING the Swanton (thanks Jeff), but according to the report, Edge may have hurt his wrist. He was seen grabbing it and running to the back in "great pain." One gal on a thread I started said he might have been selling. He is such an awesome seller that if he was selling, I am ready to choke him. LOL I am so worried and so beside myself. I hope to God he is ok. If he is hurt, I hope it is minor and will be ok and he will be able to wrestle with it. I bet it hurts like a you know what. Poor thing, bless his little heart. He just came back and all. Fortunately, there are no house shows this weekend for the holidays and such and there is the Supershow in Toronto on Monday and then they go back on the road on the 26th so we will see where he is at (quoting Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin).
I am praying really hard for Edge like I always do. I don't think I could go through another bout of Edge withdrawl.
Of course, I will post updates like usual.

One week from today, WWE will FINALLY release Edge's DVD, "A Decade of Decadence." So, next TUESDAY, DECEMBER 23RD, get yourself down to your local Walmart,Best Buy or wherever you buy DVDs and get your hot little hands on Edge's DVDs! :)
I have waited 11 months since this DVD was announced in January as being made. It was supposed to be out on Nov 4th, but they decided to delay it I guess but anyway, it is out on DECEMBER 23RD. There is a preview on WWE.com.
He talks about his beard, and how he has been compared to various people like Jesus, and Manson, and the Allman Brothers. LOL Very cool. He said his girlfriend DESPISED IT. LMFAOPIMP. (Note: I was going to say. I would think she would have. She is in a couple of those photos I have posted in my blogs. I didn't mind the beard when he FIRST started growing it. However, when he grew it out when he came back, I thought it was a little too busy. I was thinking, "I bet his girlfriend hated it. Imagine kissing him and getting busy if you get my drift with that beard. LOL" Glad he shaved it off and I am sure she is also.)
He also talks about the possibility of tagging with Christian and whether it would be a step back. He says he would just go with it. If you fight it, it doesn't work, he says.
