Well, guess who is the Superstar of the Day today on Jan 16th, 2009?  Yep, the Rated R Superstar!  Very cool  Of course, I can not wait to see him on Smackdown tonight. :) I am glad WWE finally made him Superstar of the day.  Oh, two more days till he is here in Lexington, KY. I so CAN NOT wait. :) Oh, his DVD is STILL number one on the Sports DVD charts too. :) 

I went on the forums for a little bit and came across this topic: "Is Edge a bad person?"  I read a few of the posts and I even posted.  Well, I have to admit, it inspired me to blog about this topic: IS Edge a bad person.....really? (Had to steal that from Colin Cowherd. LOL)

Well, everyone knows the story about Edge, Lita, and Matt Hardy. I am not gonna rehash it here.  I would like to address the issue as to whether Edge is a bad person. Well, did he make a terrible mistake in judgement?  Yes.  Did he hurt people close to him?  Yes. Was God disappointed? Yes. However, you all know what?  EVERYONE MESSES UP!

It seems to me that we see these Superstars/Divas on television and read all the internet stuff and all that **** and we THINK we know them (sorry Edge. LOL).  Well, you know what? We DON'T.  We think, as fans, that we know these people and have a right to JUDGE THEM. The point is that the wrestlers/divas portraying these characters are just that, PEOPLE. They are human being and make mistakes, just like all of us.

I am not saying what he and Lita did was right. I am saying he is a human being and makes mistakes. He is not perfect, and neither are the Superstars and divas that fans like, these same fans who have the nerve to play God and judge Edge so harshly 

These people all have flaws.  Just because Edge messed up does not make him a bad person.  I mess up. I have made mistakes in my life also.  I am sure Edge regrets what he has done.  I am hopeful and praying that he has got in good with the good Lord who is the ultimate judge and the one who WILL forgive him.

The Edge that I met (twice) is an awesome guy. He is very sweet, and I think he is a great guy who made a mistake in judgement and I don't think it is necessary to beat him up over it. 

I just think Edge is a good guy who made a bad decision and is not a terrible person, and I think he should be given a break. 

Three years ago today, the worlds greatest heel (IMO), the Rated R Superstar won his first WORLD TITLE.  He won the WWE Title from John Cena after Cena defended the title in a bloody, bruising Elimination Chamber Match at the now defunct PPV New Year's Revolution.  After Cena won, Vince announces that Edge will cash in his Money In the Bank opportunity that he won at Mania. Edge beats Cena for the belt with two spears. The set up to the second spear is awesome.  Edge then celebrates with Lita.  I love watching this part on Edge's DVD. Edge reminds me of those actors who cry after winning the Oscar with his reactions. :)  Funny stuff. I bet he was very happy also legitimately. 

I was so proud of him.  Of course, he is now a six time World Champ and a top level Superstar. :)

That was the same day my Steelers beat the Bungles in the Wild Card Game on the way to THEIR 5th World Title (the Lombardi.) btw. :)

Today is Edge's mom's birthday. She turns 56 today. I would like to wish her a very Happy Birthday.  I also would like to thank her for giving birth to a man who I call my hero in the WWE.  Thanks Judy for giving birth to a guy who I cheer for, pray for, and have had the pleasure and privilege of meeting twice. I look forward to watching him on TV every week and on PPV and going to see him live when I can and I just appreciate him being on this earth thanks to his mother and God, of course. Thanks again Judy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Well, this blog is gonna be short and sweet.  This is from the 12/28 House Show in Raleigh, NC.  OMFG, this is HILARIOUS. Edge is THE MAN, and in MY OPINION, the BEST HEEL WWE got, even though Jericho comes pretty close.

. Jeff Hardy defeated Edge to retain the WWE Championship in 20 minutes. I love Edge. The guy is gold. All the little stuff adds up to a true heel, from mocking the young girls and kids at ringside, grabbing and ripping up a Jeff Hardy sign, the facial expressions in the ring, and the stalling tactics. Edge was getting heckled by a guy in front wearing a Cowboys jersey. He would later scream out to him that the Cowboys were currently getting wiped out by the Eagles while handling Hardy. Classic.
Very good match. It saved the show. Edge controlled the majority of the action but lost after missing a spear. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate and a Swanton for the pin. Hardy celebrated for a long time around ringside with fans.

 Anyone who picks on the OVERRATED Dallas Cowgirls (nice game there Romo and the gang LOL) is A-OK in my book. :) I wonder what Jerry Jones is gonna do now. I also wonder what ESPN is gonna do now?  Their bread and butter did not make the playoffs?  All that station does is talk about the Cowgirls and that drama.  If Vince were smart, he should make that whole mess an angle. :)  Well, no more T.O. and no more hearing about Romo and Jessica Simpson and all that nonsense.  No more "He loves me some me."

Anyway, Edge was awesome here. He is such a great heel. Just love his work. I see him here in Lexington, KY in two weeks.  I am so excited. My friend won front row tickets so I am thrilled.  We are not near the ring, according to him, but I don't care. Just want to see the Smackdown Superstars, including the Rated R Superstar. Can't wait.

GO Giants and Go Steelers and GO EDGE! :)  (I am sure he is rooting for his Chargers. :) )
