Edge had his surgery this past Tuesday. Doctors have yet to give him a timeline. Jim Ross in his blog said at least six months, maybe more. HOpefully he can make Mania , according to Ross.
All I can do now is pray for Edge and his recovery. I have faith that God is going to see him through this tough patch in his life. I am confident that Edge comes back better than ever.

Well, as you all have heard, Edge suffered what was believed to be a torn Achilles tendon. From what I am gathering from different sites, he is expected to be out till Jan 2010, and that is being optimistic. Probably may be out till March 2010, but we will have to hear the official word. He landed awkwardly on his left foot when leapfrogging Jeff Hardy at a house show in San Diego on July 3rd. He told the fans "sorry" before being led away to an ambulance.
Well, I am just heartbroken over this. I pray for Edge. I hope and pray that he will return as good as ever. Good luck Edge. I love you. Your fans love you. God loves you as well. Good luck to you on a full recovery and Godspeed.
I would like to congratulate the RATED R SUPERSTAR, EDGE for winning his 9th World Title. I am so proud of him. The match was an AWESOME MATCH! Great job by Edge and Cena. I am a little disappointed with the Big Show interfering like Cena could not job clean. Anyway, it was a great match, a match of the year candidate, IMO. The HBK/Taker match at Mania was a bit better, but this match was tremendous. Very excited that Edge is a 9 time champ. I just HOPE that they do not take the belt from him next month. I know they are going with his character of obsessing about the belt and getting it in a sneaky, underhanded way, but Edge should get a LONG REIGN, ala HHH (both as heel and face), Cena, Orton. The constant giving him the belt and then taking it away from him at whim just hurts the belt....the belt is supposed to have meaning, and the constant passing around the belt just makes it meaningless, IMO. All this also makes Edge's character look weak. It hurts his credibility as champion because the way they book him, you already know that he is going to drop the belt at the next PPV. He has to have a long reign as champ for these reasons. Anyway, congratulations Edge. :)
The rest of the PPV was good, better than Mania actually. Kind of sad, but anyway, the I Quit match was good. It lost some heat due to a fight in the crowd. However, good job. Loved how Matt tried to save himself. The Jericho/Steamboat match was very good. Enjoyed that. It looks like that may be it for Steamboat as a wrestler but we will see. Swagger and Christian had a good opener. Well worked match and congrats to Christian. Kane and Punk had a boring match.
The Santino/a and Khali bit should have been saved for Raw. Sorry. Funny at parts but it should not have been on PPV. Poor JR who has to be the target of this ****. Hated it on that level.
The Six Man Tag was pretty good. It lost some heat at points but it was good as 1) Randy Orton won the belt and 2)HHH dropped it even though I love HHH. HHH has gotten stale and needs a break. Fans seem to think so too as some in the audience say "Hey Hey Goodbye" as HHH was stretchered out. I am sure WWE so does not like that. Some chanted "Retire." I am sure HHH will be gone at least a few weeks.
Overall, a good show. Interesting to note that Edge and two of his former partners (Orton and CHristian) all won the belts at the same PPV.
Well, first, I will want to say, I am stil shocked over the events of NWO. I guess we will find out on Raw the ramifications of all that went down. Anyway.,I could not imagine Edge being in a match for 3 minutes so when I saw the skit with Vickie and the fact that RAW GM Stephanie McMahon "left with Shane to the hospital...." I had a feeling SOMETHING was up, but wow...Edge wins his Eighth World Title and again, CONGRATS my dear...which leads me to this blog.
I went on Edge's WWE Universe site, and people are just getting hysterical and having a cow. They are saying mean things to him and I KNOW he is a HEEL, but SOME people just take this stuff way too seriously. I thought I had to deal with Steeler fans who take the game too seriously, but the stuff I saw on Edge's WWE Universe Site is just ridiculous. I mean, come now, calling him a piece of you know what and cussing at him and wishing ill will on him. I know you are supposed to hate Edge as he is a heel (except his real fans like me), but TAKE A DARN CHILL PILL. The people acted like Edge killed someone. People, It's ONLY wrestling. It is only a show. This is not life and death. I mean, cheer who you want and boo who you want, that is not what I am talking about...I think some people just get way too carried away. I do realize he is getting great heel heat and al that, but I just think some people are overreacting is all.
I am sure you all know by now that Edge is the NEW WWE Champion. I am so proud of him. Again, CONGRATULATIONS EDGE! Wow. Number 7. :) Seven is a lucky number. :) Anyway, I am so excited to see him with the belt again. My only plea to WWE: Let the guy have it more than five minutes if you get my meaning. As an Edgehead, I am resigned in knowing that Edge will likely drop the belt at Mania or maybe Backlash to Hunter Helmsley. I love Hunter as he is one of my all time favorites, but Edge deserves a long reign ala HHH or Cena.
However, I am not going to complain. He has the belt and I wish him the best with his reign.
