The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.....

Sunday, January 4, 2009, 08:48 PM EST [General]

"If you think you can win, you can win. Faith is necessary to victory!"

"If fear is cultivated, it will become stronger. If faith is cultivated, it will become mastery!"

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season...I know I did! I wanted to start with one of my newest "all-time favorite" pictures. The picture taken with the legendary Mae Young was taken just a few weeks ago. Not only was I blessed to have her on my side that night, but was able to spend some extra time with her in the airport and on the flight out to tv. Mae has not lost one ounce of her fire and passion for this business and boy is that refreshing?!! It gives me chills just thinking about it. I'm going to start my blog now, but will get back to Mae in a bit.....

Let me start by saying that YES, I do read all the comments (good, bad & ugly) that you guys send. Just the way all of you have/voice your opinions (which I do respect), I've decided to do the same. I may offend some, make some laugh, make some smile, make some cry, but....this blog is all about you guys. You ask, you demand, you demean and I am going to respond. So, from here on out in this blog, I'm going to continue as "Michelle McCool outside the ropes" & "Michelle McCool inside the ropes!" I think you can determine the difference!

    McCool outside the ropes....

Thanks, as always, for all of the kind comments that you guys have sent. Losing my championship has been bitter sweet for me and your encouraging words keep me going. I haven't changed (for those of you who have been so concerned) and will never compromise my morals, beliefs and/or values. My motto remains the same: faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within! Losing the title just means that I have to fight that much harder and keep my eye on the prize. As the new year begins, remember to dream big! Don't let anyone discourage you to not follow your heart. Go after your goals....follow your dreams and LIVE your passion!

McCool inside the ropes (warning - attitude changes here :) )....

I've gotten lots of questions/comments/concerns and most of them seem to revolve around the same few things, so I'll try to take care of them all. One of my favorite era's of wrestling was the 'Attitude Era!' This new year has brought out a new attitude for me, and for those of you that don't like it, I'm sorry.

Maria: Yes, I beat the heck out of her and, in my mind, deservingly so. I don't get why everyone likes her so much. She tries to play the innocent card and is constantly getting distracted and screwing things up. That's exactly what she did to cost me the title. Did you see her taking that long to count for Maryse? No, didn't think so. It was that one split second when I had enough, that Maryse capitalized and caught me with a mean kick to the head. I give Maryse credit...I'd of done the exact same thing and taken advantage of the opportunity. Had Maria been counting like any normal ref, I would still be Divas Champion and she might not be hurting so bad! Next topic of concern....

Moveset: For those of you who love to hate me (which I now embrace, so thank you), I'm sorry if this is going to sound blunt. I truly find if humorous how many of you are so mad about my new finish, using the chick kick, etc... You must not be true wrestling fans or else you would be complaining in cyber space about every single move out there. At some point in time, someone used and/or created everything you currently see. Let me just mention a few moves that have been "stolen" by current divas that you guys conveniently seem to forget.

Mae Young: elbow drop, first lady to drop kick, bronco buster

    Gory Guerrero: camel clutch

Too many superstars past and present to name: DDT

Brisco Brothers: Sunset flip out of corner

    Molly Holly: springboard elbow

    Torrie Wilson: face buster

    Lou Thez: Lou Thez press

The list goes on and on and on....So, for those of you who are apparently so knowledgable about my move set and want to whine and complain about who may have used them in the past, why don't you do just a little bit of research. You might find that there are many divas, and other superstars for that matter, who are using/utilizing moves that you may have seen before. Before you know it, I'm sure you'll be complaining about using a headlock. But hey, whatever makes you happy......

Wow, didn't realize that would be so long. For those of you who have made it this far in the blog, I'm going to save the rest for a later date. I'm going to finish with "Michelle McCool outside the ropes!" (I kind of like being able to give you both sides....kind of like the best of both worlds - you can pick and choose which parts, if not all, of the blog you want to read! :)

I hope you all have a great night and wake up with a smile on your face. Remember to cherish each day as if it were your last. You can do absolutely anything you put your mind to. Stay positive and stay true to yourself. Make it a point to make someone else smile each day....you'll be amazed at just how good it makes you feel! Keepin' the faith!

    Love you all! MM

It's the most wonderful time of the year....

Monday, December 8, 2008, 06:33 PM EST [Faith, Heart & Soul]

Take a second to let the following sink in. I read these and thought they were great, so I wanted to share...........

"Faith isn't faith until it's all you're holding on to!"

"You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith!"

"Faith means believing in things when common sense tells you not to!"

Think about that. It's not always the easiest thing to do when standing up for what you believe. It's not easy to filter out all the negative things people say and/or write about you. It's not easy to go down the road less traveled. It's not easy to always be yourself. BUT....if you have faith; faith in yourself, faith in what you believe and faith to hold on to - that's ALL you need!

Thanksgiving was great. Thanks to all of you who sent well wishes. And....as my headline says "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" I absolutely love Christmas. I just can't get enough of spending time laughing (and stuffing my face) with my family, buying gifts for everyone and just seeing smile on everyones faces. We have our "McCool" family Christmas this week which is exciting. I guess you could say the McCool's go both traditional and untraditional when comes to our get-together. We do gag gifts for all of the adults, which can get pretty embarassing at times! Speaking of....I still have to get my gift!

Anyhow, as always.....I'll try to answer the most common questions/comments I've gotten from you guys this week.

Wings of Love: Yes, I haven't used it in quite some time now, but that's not by choice. Truth is, I'm not allowed to use it anymore. Apparently, it was too devastating for us girls! Seriously....

The only good thing about that is that I debuted a new one on Marsye this weekend and believe me, I think you'll be impressed. I have to keep it under wraps for now until I use it on tv. Hopefully, it's not too rough for us girls :)

The Divas Championship: The bullseye gets bigger by the week. Every girl is gunning for me and causing me to act a little out of the norm. Maria cost me to get eliminated at Survivor Series by Mickie which just about pushed me over the edge. Since then, I have the mindset that nothing will stop me now. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep the title around my waist! Most of you guys have been so supportive and encouraging and to that, I say thank you!

On the other hand....there are many of you that have made it very clear that Maryse and/or Maria deserve it way more than me because I'm just a "diva search reject!" :)))And to that....I also say thank you! I love proving people wrong. There's nothing that pushes and motivates me more than naysayers! I do have one little piece of info though to those of you who sent those comments. I love how people so quickly forget that I have been here four years and worked my butt off every single day....pitching storylines, training at DSW, working in the ring, doing appearances, etc...Not just that, but in case you forgot - I'm certainly not the only "diva search reject" under contract right now. Let's see.....Maria, Maryse, Candice. I'm sure there are others I may have forgotten. But it's alright....just know that you also inspire me by hating me! Even if you don't like me, I hope that I can break the barrier and have you respect me!

Until next time...Happy Holidays...faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!

    Love,

    Michelle

    Home sweet home...........

Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 09:37 AM EST [Faith, Heart & Soul]

Hey guys! Where did November go? My mom called today to discuss Thanksgiving plans.....I thought she was crazy wanting to plan so early, but then realized it's already next week. We have been on the road since November 4th and just got home around 1 am Tuesday morning. I didn't take my computer overseas (due to trying to condense my luggage into two bags.....which is sometimes worse b/c of all the trouble I have to go to just to zip it up every night), so I feel like I've been lost for almost 3 weeks now :) But, like it or not ............I'm back :)))) I'm still on a different time zone and a bit delerious, so forgive me if I'm all over the place!

Our overseas tour was awesome! We had phenomenal shows every single night. The energy from the fans is what make the shows! They are simply there to have fun (and hopefully that's what we gave them). The daily flights and bus rides can take a toll on your body....not to mention the rigorous bumping inside the ring. But see, that's just it. When you love something so much and have so much fun doing it, you forget about all your aches and pains as soon as you step through the curtain. We didn't have much spare time at all....I'd venture to guess that we maybe had about 8 hours total over the course of the two weeks. I did get a chance to see the Berlin Wall. That was cool! I think Berlin is my new favorite city...I went walking around town right when we got in and was taken aback by its beauty. There's all of this incredibly beautiful architecture, tons of people, and lots of traffic....yet it's so quiet and serene all at the same time. I just felt so at peace when I was there.

Things have been a little crazy on tv lately. If you didn't see, Maria and I had a (short) title match in Manchester last week. At the very beginning of the match, Jesse and Festus came wandering down. I was able to use their distraction to Maria as a 'W' for me....I caught her with the ankle lock.

There's nothing I've been more proud of than becoming Divas Champion, but it hasn't come without a price. I realize that the target on my back continues to grow larger each week. I am constanly watching my back. Sometimes it's easy to get frustrated or discouraged with all that's going on around you, which is why I want to just end with a couple of quotes I find encouraging.

"When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!"

"If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick up one of those pieces and begin again!"

"Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them!"

"When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place!"

Remember faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!

    Dream big....love, MM

    Friends + Halloween....Major Trouble

Friday, October 24, 2008, 09:02 PM EST [Faith, Heart & Soul]

Hey guys! I'm sure you may of been a little confused by the title of this blog, but it's not what you might assume. Simply put, there are two things I'd like to address this blog....one, "our" loss tonight against Maryse and Natalya and, yep you guessed it, the Haloween contest at Cyber Sunday!

Tonight was a disappointing loss for me. I love Maria to death, BUT what happened? We were clearly in control, I go to give her the tag & her back is to me. I'm not sure what she was doing b/c I was in the middle of the match focused on getting the win. Low and behold, Maryse got a quick rollup. Didn't know Maryse could think that fast...just joking! :) I tried to talk to her after the match, but she seemed more concerned about finding Festus than the fact that we had just lost a stinking match. A little lost at this point. I would never betray someone I call my friend, I just hope she gets it together before next week.

So.....another halloween contest this year at Cyber Sunday. My goal...not to come in last: again :)))) I was having a hard time trying to figure out what to be since there have been so many great costumes already done over the past few years....so I decided to go with something I love - CAMO!!!!

I decided I'd be an army girl....maybe even "Mjr. Trouble!" :) Maybe it's the souther girl in me, but I find camo to be incredibly hot. Hopefully, the WWE universe will think so too! Be sure to watch on Sunday....and more importantly vote! Love you all...hope you all are better than ever.

Faith to fight the good fight., heart to believe and soul to search within!

Dream Big....love you all - MM

    Love you all.....

"Faith is the light that guides you through the darkness. "

Things were definitely dark on the mynetwork premiere two weeks ago as I fell victim to the "glam slam," but I definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. That was the first time that I have faced Beth one on one (do you actually call it a singles match though when there are 12 other girls surrounding the ring?) & I'm not afraid to give credit where credit is due. Beth is tough and by far the strongest competitor I've faced this far. It 'also didn't hurt the fact that Maryse decided to stick her nose where it didn't belong....once again! Things obviously aren't over between the two of us (nor me and Beth for that matter....and yes Beth, that is a challenge). I looked for Maryse last week, but oddly enough, I couldn't find her. As far as I'm concerned, she was hiding (or looking in the mirror which could also very well be). I just hope and pray I see her this week.....two words - unfinished business! :)

Anyway, on to more fun things. We were crazy busy the past few weeks and it looks like things aren't slowing down anytime soon....which I LOVE! I have had a lot of you guys commenting on/asking about the newest bikini picture, so......here it is. Myself and two other SD divas were blessed enough to do a photoshoot for a very well known, huge, successful magazine and boy did we have fun. I saw some of the pictures (and will be posting a couple more soon) and they were H-O-T! This was by far my favorite shoot so far. It's always fun to play/dress the opposite of who you are and that's exactly what I did in this shoot. It hits newstands in November. So until then.........that's all the info I can give!

We toured Europe for 6 days and will be heading to Mexico this week. Europe was, as always, great! We started in Lisbon and ended in Germany. The fans were passionate, excited and ultra supportive. I had two singles matches with Maryse, a two tag matches with Maria vs. Maryse and Natalya where both felt the Wings of Love. :)

I know this was shorter than my normal blogs, but I am going to take a quick nap, pack my suitcases and get ready to hit the road running tomorrow. I love you all and thank each of you for your continous love and support. Until next time...faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!

    Love, MM
