Den's The Bash 2009 Predictions, The Result

Monday, June 29, 2009, 01:11 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!.. My last blog was about my unbiased predictions for the WWE's The Bash. After watching that amazing Pay Per View, suddenly, it came to my mind, why don't I post a follow-up blog wherein I will rate myself to see if my predictions came true or not. So here goes:

First Match: ECW Championship: Championship Scramble Match:

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs Jack Swagger vs Christian vs Finlay vs Mark Henry

My Prediction: 50% to Jack Swagger, 25% to Tommy Dreamer, 15% to Mark Henry, 7% to Christian and 3% to Finlay.

I predicted that The All-American American would come out as the winner of this match. It came that I was wrong. The Innovator of Violence was victorious to retain his ECW Title. But I also predicted that if there is anyone who could come out on top in this match aside from Jack Swagger is none other than The ECW Original himself. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0.8 POINT .

Second Match: Intercontinental Championship: Mask vs. Title

Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio

My Prediction: 55% to Rey Mysterio and 45% to Chris Jericho.

I predicted that The Master of 619 would defeat Y2J and regain the Intercontinental Title and The Greatest Underdog did it. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

    Third Match: No Disqualification Match:

Dolph Ziggler vs The Great Khali

My Prediction: 60% to Dolph Ziggler and 40% to The Great Khali.

I predicted that Ziggler would defeat The Punjabi Giant and he did but we did not expect that Kane would go out to cause Khali the match. REGARDLESSLY, I THINK DESERVE 1 POINT.

Fourth Match: Unified Tag Team Championship: Tripe Threat Match(Impromptu)

Unified Tag Team Champions The Colons vs Priceless vs Rated Y2J(Impromptu)

My Prediction: 60% to Priceless and 40% to The Colons.

I predicted that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase would become the new Unified Tag Team Champions after defeating Carlito and Primo but we were all surprised with what Theodore Long, the Smackdown GM, did. Before the match could start he made the match a Triple Threat Match and added Edge and Chris Jericho to the mix. And as a result, Rated Y2J became the new Unified Tag Team Champions, to add to their impressive resume. WITH THAT, I DESERVE 0 POINT.

    Fifth Match: Women's Championship:

Women's Champion Melina vs Michelle McCool

My Prediction: 60% to Michelle McCool and 40% to Melina.

I predicted that McCool would defeat The A-List Diva and. Well, Michelle did not just beat Melina but also made a history for being the first WWE Diva to hold both the Women's Title and the Diva's Title. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

    Sixth Match: World Heavyweight Championship:

World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk vs Jeff Hardy

My Prediction: 51% to Jeff Hardy and 49% to C.M. Punk.

I predicted that The Extreme Enigma would defeat The Straightedge Superstar and Jeff did it. But when I said that Jeff would defeat Punk, I meant that The Legend Thriller would capture the World Title. But Punk got himself intentionally disqualified which means Jeff won the match but did not regain the World Title. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0.8 POINT.

    Seventh Match: Stepping Up:

    The Miz vs John Cena

My Prediction: 60% to John Cena and 40% to The Miz.

I predicted that The Doctor of Thuganomics would make The Miz tap out and Cena did it. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Main Event: WWE Championship: 3 Stages of Hell

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs Triple H

My Prediction: 55% to Randy Orton and 45% Triple H.

I predicted that The Legend Killer would defeat The Game. But I also said that if Priceless wouldn't be able to get the Unified Tag Titles, Orton would lose the match. I also predicted that they would go on upto the Stretcher Match. Does my prediction came true? Well, let's find out:

First Stage of Hell: Regular Wrestling Match: This goes to RKO because HHH hit Orton in the head with a steel chair which made Triple H disqualified.

Second Stage of Hell: Falls Count Anywhere Match: This one goes to The Cerebral Assassin. It turned out that HHH got himself intentionally disqualified in the first fall so that he could beat the hell out of Randy in the second stage of hell. So, The King of Kings hit the Pedigree and got the second fall.

Third Stage of Hell: Stretcher Match: As I have predicted, The Viper came out victorious with a lot of help from his Legacy teammates.

Outcome of My Prediction: The match ended in a Stretcher Match. Only Orton, among the Legacy members, has a gold after the show but The Viper did win over Triple H. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Total Result: 6.6 out of 8.

There you go folks! I believe I did all right with my predictions for The Bash. I got 6.6 out of 8 matches. Well, if you think I was biased with my scoring here, you are welcome to rate me yourself and if you want, you can send a comment regarding this blog post. I promise you that I will continue this next time. Ciao!

    Den's The Bash 2009 Predictions

Sunday, June 28, 2009, 12:56 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...Here I am again broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Up next for WWE is The Bash. Formerly, this was called The Great American Bash. With that, let me now give my choices for this Sunday:

WWE Championship: 3 Stages of Hell:

55% to Randy Orton and 45% Triple H. First of all, I think that they will end up doing the Stretcher Match. Now why did I pick The Legend Killer to win? Because I think that each member of the Legacy, at the end of the show, would be holding his own Championship Title. Now if Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase wouldn't be able to win against The Colons, then I think that The King of Kings would capture his 14th World Title. By the way, this rivalry is not yet going to end soon.

    World Heavyweight Championship:

51% to Jeff Hardy and 49% to C.M. Punk. We all can see that Punk is slowly turning into a heel. I think that after The Bash Punk would completely be turned as a heel. That's why I think the Extreme Enigma would win. But why their percentages are so close? My answer is this: This past Smackdown John Morisson surprisingly defeated C.M. Punk and Jeff has also lost his match. So, in terms of winning, no one is carrying the so called momentum. But at the end of the show, Punk played mind games against Jeff. That's why i think that The Straightedge Superstar has a little bit of momentum against Jeff this Sunday at The Bash. I also think that this rivalry would still continue.

    ECW Championship: Championship Scramble Match:

50% to Jack Swagger, 25% to Tommy Dreamer, 15% to Mark Henry, 7% to Christian and 3% to Finlay.

Of the 5 contestants, Swagger has won all of his matches prior to The Bash that's why I think The All-American American would come out as the ECW Champion this Sunday. Now if there is someone who can upset Swagger, it's none other than The Innovator of Violence himself, Tommy Dreamer. This is just The ECW Orignal's first Pay Per View title defense. That's why I think Dreamer can come out on top after this debacle. As for Captain Charisma, I don't think that he is going to win this time. Why? Because I think he would have a rivalry with The Fighting Irisman. The World's Strongest Man could also put an upset victory this Sunday, so watch out for him too. The next rivalry for the ECW Championship, I think, would be between Swagger, Dreamer and Henry.

    Intercontinental Championship: Mask vs. Title:

55% to Rey Mysterio and 45% to Chris Jericho. Last time, I said The Master of 619 would win because he wouldn't want to be unmasked. I came out wrong because Y2J has successfully unmasked The Greates Underdog. But Rey, swiftly covered his face with his both arms. That shows that Rey doesn't really want to be unmasked. That's why I think that The Biggest Little Man would win over Jericho. I think that this rivalry would still continue.

    Unified Tag Team Championship:

60% to Priceless and 40% to The Colons. As I have mentioned earlier that each member of Legacy would be holding his own Championship Title. That's why I think that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase would win over Carlito and Primo this Sunday. But this rivalry wouldn't be over yet.

    Women's Championship:

60% to Michelle McCool and 40% to Melina. Michelle has all the momentum going in at The Bash this Sunday. Michelle has won all of her match prior to The Bash. That's why I think Michelle would once again make history by defeating The A-LIst Diva and become the first Diva to hold both the Women's Title and the Diva's Title.

    Stepping Up:

60% to John Cena and 40% to The Miz. Eventhough Miz has all the momentum against Cena this Sunday, I still think that The Doctor of Thuganomics would make Miz tap out. Some would think that this could be Miz's stepping stone towards the World Title scene which I don't agree. I think after this, The Miz would end up in the U.S. Title scene against Kofi Kingston.

    No Disqualification Match:

60% to Dolph Ziggler and 40% to The Great Khali. I think Ziggler would somehow outsmart the Punjabi Giant once more. I also think that this would be the end of their rivalry.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View, The Bash. As they say, anything can happen in the WWE which means that I could be wrong or I could be right. If you have any comments regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it tome. Until next time. Ciao!

    Den's Extreme Rules 2009 Predictions

Sunday, June 7, 2009, 12:57 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...Here I am once again broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Next destination for WWE is Extreme Rules 2009. Previously, this was entitled One Night Stand. This is the only time that WWE goes Extreme which means that all matches pitted in this Pay Per View are all under Extreme Rules. So here goes....

WWE Championship Match: Steel Cage Match

55% to Randy Orton and 45% to Batista. I still thing that The Legend Killer would come out victorious this coming Sunday. I can also see that WWE is, maybe, planning a Legacy vs. Evolution storyline which makes me believe that Triple H would return this Sunday. I think that at the climax of the match DiBiase and Rhodes would come out to help Orton which would make Ric Flair come out to help Batista. From here I could see three diffirent ending scenarios. First scenario might be like this: DiBiase and Rhodes would overcome Ric Flair which would distract Batista which would lead to Orton RKOing Batista to retain his WWE Title. Then Legacy would gang up on Batista but Triple H would come out to help Batista. Second scenario might be like this: DiBiase and Rhodes would overcome Ric Flair but, before the match would end, Triple H would already come out to help Flair and Batista which would distract Orton which would lead to a Batista Bomb and a win from The Animal. Third scenario might be like this: Again, Dibiase and Rhodes would overcome Flair which would make Triple H come out but, one way or another, Triple H would cause Batista to lose the match.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Ladder Match:

55% to Edge and 45% to Jeff Hardy. As I said, one of my basis to choose The Extreme Enigma to win any match is when he does his unique backstage message which never happened prior this Sunday's Pay Per View. That's why I picked The Rated-R Superstars to win this one.

ECW Championship Match: Triple Threat Hardcore Match:

50% to Tommy Dreamer, 30% to Christian and 20% to Jack Swagger. Honestly, I don't really know if Dreamer would really retire. But still, I think that The Innovator of Violence would prevail over Captain Charisma and The All-American American.

Intercontinental Championship Match: No Holds Barred Match:

60% to Rey Mysterio and 40% to Chris Jericho. I have two bases why I picked The Master of 619 to win. Firstly, Extreme Rules' poster face is The Greatest Underdog himself. Secondly, I don't think that The Biggest Little Man doesn't want to remove his mask. Just as he said, how can he be Rey Mysterio if he doesn't wear his mask. But personally, I want to see Y2J to really unmask Rey because I want to see what Rey's face looks like.

United States Championship: Fatal Four Way Match:

50% to Kofi Kingston, 25% to Matt Hardy, 15% to Montel Vontavious Porter and 10% to William Regal. The Jamaican Sensation has just won his first reign as the United States Champion that's why I think that he would retain the U.S. Title. As for MVP, I think the Franchise Playa is moving up to challenge for the WWE Championship. That is also why I think that if there is someone that who can dethrone Kingston as U.S. Champ is Matt with a help from his cask. As for Regal, I think he is just a filler in this match.

    Submission Match:

51% to Big Show and 49% to John Cena. This is the hardest one to predict, again, because of the unpredictability of The Doctor of Thuganomics. I chose The Largest Athlete in the World because applying the STF to Big Show is impossible. The only way for Cena to win is learn a new submission move or use something, maybe a rope or a belt, to reach Big Show's face. But I don't think Cena would lose by tapping out. I think Cena would just pass out. This would prompt the referee to ring the bell and declare Big Show as the winner.

    Samoan Strap Match:

60% to Umaga and 40% to C.M. Punk. At first, I was still considering to give this one to The Straightedge Superstar because he has to have a win against Umaga. But when Mr. Money in the Bank beat Umaga this past Smackdown, it made clear to me that at this Sunday, The Samoan Bulldozer woud prevail.

    Hog Pen Match:

70% to Vickie Guerrero and 30% to Santina Marella. This is the easiest to predict. Vickie is the GM of Raw. This alone gives her the distinct advantage because he could seek someone's help in this matc, not to mention his own nephew, Chavo Guerrero. Plus, Beth Phoenix, I think, would also help Vickie beat and to finally unmask Santina her true identity.

Will C.M. Punk cash-in the Money in the Bank Briefcase?

55% Yes and 45% No. There is a high possibility that The Straightedge Superstar would cash-in the Briefcase because this when all winners of World Title matches are worn-out because of the extreme nature of their matches.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for Extreme Rules 2009. As they said, anything can happen in the WWE which means that I could be wrong or I could be right. If you have any comments regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it tome. Until next time. Ciao!

    Den's Judgment Day 2009 Predictions

Sunday, May 17, 2009, 09:20 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks! Here I am, once again, broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Up next for WWE is Judgment Day 2009. So here goes:

    WWE Championship Match:

60% to Randy Orton and 40% to Batista. First, I think that this will be the main event of the night. In the past weeks, WWE showed us how powerful The Legacy is. So, I believe that on Judgment Day, The Animal would be outsmarted by the three second-generation Superstars. I also believe that the rivalry between Triple H and RKO is not yet over. As I said, in my opinion, the only way to end the rivalry with The Game is to meet him inside Hell in a Cell. Remember that the next Pay Per View is the Extreme Rules wherein all matches are under the rules of No Disqualification. That's why I think the rivalry between The Legend Killer and The King of Kings would finally come to an end on the next Pay Per View.

    World Heavyweight Championship:

55% to Edge and 45% to Jeff Hardy. Eventhough Jeff has the momentum coming this Sunday, I still believe that The Rated-R Superstar would prevail. I have two bases for my prediction. Firstly, Edge is the face of the poster of Judgment Day 2009. If you will remember No Way Out 2009, Edge was the face of the poster of that Pay Per View and you know that, although he lost the WWE Championship Belt, he eventually won the World Heavyweight Title. Another example is Backlash 2009. Remember that Randy Orton was the face of the poster of Backlash 2009 and he won the WWE Title from Triple H that night. Secondly, remember that Jeff finally beat Matt Hardy in the I Quit Match at Backlash 2009. Also, remember that Jeff made his unique backstage message the Smackdown episode prior to Backlash 2009. And, if you can still remember, Jeff defeated both Triple H and Edge in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Title at Armageddon 2008. Do you remember that he also did his  unique backstage message the Smackdown prior Armageddon 2008?. Well, Jeff did not do his unique backstage message this past Smackdown. That's why I think that The Ultimate Opportunist would leave Judgment Day 2009 as World Champion. Now if Jeff would win, I can only see a Disqualification or a Count Out.  I also think that this rivalry would not yet be over. Again, remember that the next Pay Per View is the Extreme Rules. I think these Superstars would once again meet each other in the ring but this time, under the rules of a TLC Match.

    ECW Championship Match:

60% to Christian and 40% to Jack Swagger. In the past weeks, Swagger has always complained that Christian had cheated to win the ECW Title. I think that this time Captain Charisma would hit the Killswitch to The All-American American. Up next for Christian, I think, is Mark Henry or Tommy Dreamer.

    Intercontinental Championship Match:

55% to Rey Mysterio and 45% to Chris Jericho. I picked The Master of 619 to win this Sunday because eversince Y2J came to Smackdown, he is on the losing side of every match he participated and The Ultimate Underdog has the momentum coming this Sunday.

    Since Wrestlemenia 25:

51% to John Cena and 49% to Big Show. This is the hardest one to predict because of the unpredictability of Cena. Honestly, I don't have a clear idea why I pick Cena but I my instinct tells me that the Doctor of Thuganomics would prevail over The Largest Athlete in the World. Also, I think that this would not be the end of their rivalry.

    Who's Got the Beef:

60% to CM Punk and 40% to Umaga. I picked The Straightedge Superstar to win this match is because Judgment Day 2009 will be held on Chicago, Illinois which is Punk's hometown. This will be the last of their rivalry.

The Shaman of Sexy vs. The Gold Standard:

60% to Shelton Benjamin and 40% to John Morrison. Since their rivalry began, this is only their second One on One match and the The Shaman of Sexy won it. That's why I think that this time The Gold Standard would defeat The A-List Superstar this Sunday. I also think that this rivalry would still go on.

Will CM Punk Cash-In the Money in the Bank Briefcase?

90% No and 10% Yes. Although, Judgment Day 2009 will be held in The Straightedge Superstar's hometown, there is not any match with a No DQ stipulation. That's why I think that he would not cash-in this Sunday.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for Judgment 2009. As they say, anything can happen in the WWE which means that I could be wrong or I could be right. If you have any comments regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it to me.

    Den's Backlash 2009 Predictions

Sunday, April 26, 2009, 02:30 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...Here I am again, broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Up next for WWE is Backlash 2009. Before I begin, let me voice out that this blog post is not a spoiler of what is about to happen this Sunday. Rather, all that you are going to see in this blog post are mere hypotheses or intelligent guesses from yours truly. My bases for these guesses are derived from events transpired in the WWE's weekly programming, Raw, ECW, Superstars and Smackdown prior to the coming WWE Pay Per View. With that, let me now give you my guesses for Backlash 2009...

World Heavyweight Champioship: Last Man Standing Match

55% to John Cena and 45% to Edge. First of all, I believe that this is going to be the main event of the evening based on the extreme rules of the match. Then about my pick, first let me say that this one is so hard to predict because of the caliber of these both Superstars. But I picked The Doctor of Thuganomics to win this one because of what the WWE is doing to the Big Show. Recently, Big Show is unstopabble, and the commentators are kept telling that Big Show started his rampage after he failed to win the World Title at Wrestlemania 25. So, it keeps me thinking that WWE is planning to put the Big Show in a championship match at Judgment Day. And the most suited of all is to put him against the World Champion. And since Big Show is drafted to Raw, it is possible that Show would, once again, challenge Cena for the World Title provided Cena wins at Backlash. On the other hand, Smackdown doesn't have a world title which makes Edge, as far as I'm concerned, also a likely winner of the match. But remember, C.M. Punk, who is Mr. Money in the Bank, is drafted to Smackdown. Punk might be the one, once again, to bring a world championship back to his brand which is Smackdown.

WWE Championship: 6-Man Tag Team Match:

51% to Triple H, Shane McMahon and Batista and 49% to Legacy. First, let me reiterate the stipulations of the match: If any of the Legacy beat any of HHH's team, Randy Orton wins the championship. Whether any of HHH's team is pinned, submits, or even disqualified and counted-out, a title change will happen. My basis for this match is like this: If HHH's team shows any cooperation or co-exist in any WWE shows prior to Backlash, then The Game would retain the WWE Title. With what I saw this past Raw, I first thought that RKO's team will win but when I saw what happened on Smackdown, I changed my mind. At last, Shane O'Mac and The Animal co-existed as a team and beat Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a tag team match. But I don't think that this is going to be the final chapter between The Legend Killer and The King of Kings. The only way for any two Superstars to end their rivalry is to have a one on one match with a No DQ stipulation, just like Cena and Edge. And the only way to end a rivalry with The Cerebral Assassin, as far as I'm concerned, is to meet him inside Hell in a Cell. So, possibly, on Judgment Day or even on a further pay per view, these two would finally clash inside The Devil's Playground. By the way, this match is also hard to predict.

    ECW Championship:

60% to Jack Swagger and 40% to Christian. This is another match that is hard to predict. My basis why I chose The All-American American to win is still Tommy Dreamer. Remember, Dreamer announced that if he never gets the ECW Championship before his contract expires, he would finally hang his boots for good. That's why I still keep choosing a Heel to win the ECW Championship Match because we all know that Dreamer is a Face. What about Captain Charisma? I think, eventually he would capture the ECW Title but not yet until Dreamer's story has materialized whether Dreamer's story would materialize in a positive way or in a negative way.

    I Quit Match:

55% to Jeff Hardy and 45% to Matt Hardy. This is another match that is hard to predict. The Hardy Brothers have already faced each other twice and Matt won both. This will be the third time and to end the match is to force your opponent to utter the words "I Quit". I think Jeff would finally beat his older brother this time. And since Matt is drafted to Raw, I think that this is going to be their last match against each other as a rival.

    Money in the Bank Rematch:

60% to Kane and 40% to C.M. Punk. My bases for picking The Big Red Monster are their two matches before Backlash. At Raw The Straightedge Superstar pinned Kane. This happened before their match was announced. Then after their match was announced, they had a tag team match at Superstars. This time Kane's team won the match. Then this past Smackdown, they were again involved in a tag team and once more Mr. Money in the Bank was on the losing side. These two events led me to choose Kane as the winner coming this Sunday. If this would happen, there could be another match between this two, this time, to fight for the right to be called Mr. Money in the Bank.

    A Legend's Revenge:

70% to Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat and 30% to Chris Jericho. It was originally planned that Jericho would be in a match against a Great WWE Legend or against Mickey Rourke at the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania. Originally, the intended Legend to fight Y2J was believed to be Hulk Hogan and eventually, Y2J was planned to lose against either of these two or to Mickey Rourke. But with all that had happened, Mickey Rourke backing out,  the story leakages and Hogan's back surgery, WWE has decided to pit Steamboat, Piper and Snuka in a 3-on-1 Handicapped Match against Y2J on The Grandest Stage of Them All. On Wrestlemania 25, all of us were surprised to see that Steamboat has still got it and stood toe to toe against Y2J. But to give way to Rourke's intended knock-out punch, WWE decided to let Jericho beat the Legends and challenged Rourke from the audience. That is why I think this time Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, a WWE Hall of Famer, will win this Sunday.

Will C.M. Punk cash-in the Money in the Bank Briefcase?

60% to Yes and 40% to No. Remember that Smackdown has no world championship on their brand and as I said before, The Straightedge Superstar might be the one to bring back a World Title on the show.

If Punk would really cash-in the Briefcase at Backlash, on what Championship he would do it?

90% to World Heavyweight Championship and 10% to WWE Championship. Remember that the WWE Championship is pitted in a 6-Man Tag Team Championship. It would be foolish for Punk to cash-in the Briefcase against the WWE Champion after the 6-Man Tag Team Match because the WWE Champ, whoever he is, will surely have back-ups. That is why, if he would cash-in the briefcase, it is most opportunistic to do it against the eventual winner of the Last Man Standing Match who will surely be the World Champion.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for WWE Backlash 2009. As they say, anything can happen in the WWE which means that I could be wrong or I could be right. If you have any comment regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it to me. Until next time. Ciao!
