Den's Bragging Rights 2009 Predictions, The Result

Monday, October 26, 2009, 02:11 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...My last blog was about my unbiased predictions for WWE's first ever Bragging Rights 2009. It is the only WWE Pay Per View wherein the two brands, Raw & Smackdown, have the opportunity to prove which show is better.I've finished watching that spectacular show. As I promised, I am going to rate myself based on the outcome of the Pay Per View. I also promise you that I will be as objective as I am when I was doing my predictions for WWE's Pay Per Views. So here goes:

First Match: The Dirt Sheet Challenge

John Morrison(Intercontinental Champion) vs. The Miz(United States Champion)

My Prediction: 55% to John Morrison and 45% to The Miz

I've predicted that The Shaman of Sexy would prevail over Miz but The Reality Superstars outsmarted John and got the win for Raw. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

    Second Match: The Dominant Divas

Team Smackdown Divas(Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix & Natalya) vs. Team Raw Divas(Melina, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim)

My Prediction: 55% to Team Smackdown Divas and 45% to Team Raw Divas

As I've said, I chose the Smackdown Divas to win this match. It is because they are more formidable than the combination of Raw's Divas. The result was that The Glamazon hit the Glam Slam on Melina and got her team the win. Therefore Smackdown has now 1 win and Raw has also 1 win. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Third Match: World Heavyweight Championship: Fatal 4 Way Match:

The Undertaker(World Heavyweight Champion) vs. Batista vs. vs. C.M. Punk vs. Rey Mysterio

My Prediction: 50% to The Undertaker, 25% to Batista, 15% to C.M. Punk and 10% to Rey Mysterio

Once again, I am correct with my prediction. The Phenom overcame the odds and successfully defended the World Title. The Animal got to close when he hit the Batista Bomb over to Taker. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT. I was also shocked with the outcome of this match. Batista is now a heel.

    Fourth Match: Smackdown vs. Raw

Team Smackdown(Chris Jericho, Kane, R-Truth, Finlay, Matt Hardy & The Hart Dynasty) vs. Team Raw(D-Generation X, Big Show, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger & Kofi Kingston)

My Prediction: 51% to Team Raw and 49% to Team Smackdown

As I've said, this was the hardest one to predict. I picked Raw to win because it's got more formidable combination than Smackdown's but Smackdown got a big help from one of their opponents. That's why Team Smackdown was victorious. I may be wrong with who won this match but I was right to say that Big Show might betray Team Raw. The World's Largest Athlete was the reason why Smackdown won. Nonetheless, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

Main Event: WWE Championship: 1-Hour Anything Goes Iron Man Match:

Randy Orton(WWE Champion) vs. John Cena

My Prediction: 60% to Randy Orton and 40% to John Cena

I've picked Orton to win because we thought that this is going to be the final match of their rivalry. I agree that it was a good idea to end a rivalry with someone changing brands. I predicted that Cena would finally lose this match and move on to Smackdown. Well, once again, The Doctor of Thuganomics proved us wrong. He is now again the WWE Champ and he is staying on Raw. Is this really the final match of their rivalry? We'll see this Monday on Raw. But now, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

TOTAL RESULT: 2 out of 5.

There you go folks! Yikes! I did terrible this time. I got 2 out of 5 matches or 10%. Well, if you think I was biased with my scoring here, you are welcome to rate me yourself by sending a comment to me and if you have anything else to say to me, you can include it in your comment. I promise you that I will continue to do this next time. Ciao!

    Den's Bragging Rights 2009 Predictions

Sunday, October 25, 2009, 10:35 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!..Here I am, once again, broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Next for WWE is the first ever Bragging Rights PPV, wherein the two WWE Shows, Raw and Smackdown will have the opportunity to prove which brand is better. So, without further ado, here goes:

WWE Championship Match: 1-Hour Anything Goes Iron Man Match:

Randy Orton(WWE Champion) vs. John Cena

My Prediction: 60% to Randy Orton and 40% to John Cena

My Thoughts: First, let me reiterate the other important stipulation of this match: If Cena loses, he must leave Raw. This is going to be the final match for this rivalry. I have picked RKO to win this match for two reasons. First, Cena is currently in a losing streak. Since Hell in A Cell PPV, Cena lost all of his matches. More importantly, why would WWE scheduled the match between Triple H and the Doctor of Thuganomics if Cena would not leave Raw? The Triple H-John Cena match this past Raw, I believe, is Cena's farewell match on Raw. So, if Cena would be gone from Raw, what will happen to both Orton and Cena? There are so many possible rivalries Cena can have on Smackdown. He may have a rivalry with Punk or Jericho but eventually, I think Cena would have a rivalry against The Undertaker. It could be Cena who would challenge Taker at Wrestlemania 26. As for The Legend Killer, I have no clear thought on what's going to happen next.

World Heavyweight Championship: Fatal 4 Way Match:

My Prediction: 50% to The Undertaker, 25% to Batista, 15% to C.M. Punk and 10% to Rey Mysterio

My Thoughts: This is The Phenom's first PPV title defense. That's why I think The Deadman's going to win. But if there is anyone from his three opponents who could beat him, it could be Batista. I chose The Animal next to Taker because of Batista's upcoming DVD. Now, if The Straightedge Superstars is gonna win it could be because Cena would be on Smackdown after Bragging Rights. I might chose The Master of 619 as the least one to win this match, he could be the wildcard from this bunch. The Greatest Underdog might pull an upset this Sunday and become the World Champion again.

    Smackdown vs. Raw:

Team Smackdown(Chris Jericho, Kane, R-Truth, Finlay, Matt Hardy & The Hart Dynasty) vs. Team Raw(D-Generation X, Big Show, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger & Kofi Kingston)

My Prediction: 51% to Team Raw and 49% to Team Smackdown

My Thoughts: This is the hardest one to predict because of the possible outcomes when either team wins. There's one thing I can be sure of. At the climax of this match, there are only 5 Superstars who would be the major factor for either team to win. These are Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Big Show, Kane and Chris Jericho. If Team Raw would win it, it would be either HBK or HHH who would make the pin. The World's Largest Athlete might hit Jericho or Kane with his Knockout Punch. If this would happen, then DX would have an opportunity to challenge JeriShow for the Unified Tag Team Titles. If Team Smackdown would win, maybe because Big Show might betray Team Raw and somehow Knockout Punch either HHH or HBK. If Team Smackdown would win, Kane would make the pin. If this happens, Kane could have an opportunity to challenge The Undertaker for the World Title provided Taker would win the Fatal 4 Way Match.

    The Dirt Sheet Challenge:

John Morrison(Intercontinental Champion) vs. The Miz(United States Champion)

My Prediction: 55% to John Morrison and 45% to The Miz

My Thougths: This is the match which will prove who among the former hosts of Dirt Sheet is better. This match will show who among the two will accomplish more. I chose The Shaman of Sexy to win is because I believe that he is the Shawn Michaels between the two. The Guru of Greatness will be more successful than The Miz. The Reality Superstar will also accomplish more in the WWE but not as good as John would achieve.

    The Dominant Divas:

Team Smackdown Divas(Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix & Natalya) vs. Team Raw Divas(Melina, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim)

My Prediction: 55% to Team Smackdown Divas and 45% to Team Raw Divas

My Thoughts: Smackdown has a more formidable group of Divas than Raw. That's why I chose Team Smackdown Divas to win. The only reason Team Smackdown would lose is because Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix would not get along.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for WWE's Bragging Rightsl 2009. As they say, anything can happen in the WWE. It only means that I may be wrong or I may be right. If you have any comment regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it to me. Also, after I watched Bragging Rights 2009, I will also post another blog, this time, about rating myself of how did I do with my predictions. Until next time. Ciao!

Den's Hell in A Cell 2009 Predictions, The Result

Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 02:33 AM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...My last blog was about my unbiased predictions for WWE's first ever Hell in A Cell 2009. It is the only WWE Pay Per View wherein all main events will be contested inside Hell in A Cell. I've finished watching that spectacular show. As I promised, I am going to rate myself based on the outcome of the Pay Per View. I also promise you that I will be as objective as I am when I'm doing my predictions for WWE's Pay Per Views. So here goes:

First Match: World Heavyweight Championship: Hell in A Cell Match

C.M. Punk(World Heavyweight Champion) vs. The Undertaker

My Prediction: 70% to The Undertaker and 30% to C.M. Punk

As I've predicted, The Phenom ended Punk's reign as World Champion. The Deadman finished Punk with a devastating Tombstone. Of course, The Straigthedge Superstar will have a rematch, so this rivalry would continue. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

    Second Match: Intercontinental Championship:

John Morrison(Intercontinental Champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler

My Prediction: 60% to Dolph Ziggler and 40% to John Morrison

For this one, I was wrong. I said that Ziggler would finally become an Intercontinental Champion but The Shaman of Sexy successfully defended his IC Title. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT. I believe that this rivalry is not yet thru.

    Third Match: Divas' Championship:

Mickie James(Divas' Champion) vs. Alicia Fox

My Prediction: 70% to Mickie James and 30% to Alicia Fox

I am again right on this one. I didn't not see Fox winning the Divas' Title. Mickie ended Fox's dream with her patented DDT. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Fourth Match: Unified Tag Team Championship:

Chris Jericho & Big Show(Unified Tag Team Champions) vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio

My Prediction: 60% to Chris Jericho & Big Show and 40% to Batista & Rey Mysterio

My prediction came right. JeriShow prevailed over The Animal and The Master of 619. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT. All we need to see tonight is for DX to win their match. If that happens, I believe my prediction that a rivalry between JeriShow and DX would come true too.

Fifth Match: WWE Championship: Hell in A Cell Match:

John Cena(WWE Champion) vs. Randy Orton

My Prediction: 55% to Randy Orton and 45% to John Cena

The Doctor of Thuganomics had almost beat RKO but The Viper became so resilient. As a result, The Legend Killer, after hitting Cena with his patented Punt, became a 6th time World Champion. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT. Now, I predict that the first title defense of The Viper would be in one Raw episode prior to the next Pay Per View. I think Orton would defend the WWE Title against 4-5 men, simultaneously . And if this came true, I think that the challengers would be Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Chris Jericho and John Cena. I think this would be WWE's way of making way for JeriShow & DX's rivalry. It's also possible that WWE would make a tournament for Orton's title. In this tournament, each member of DX would be pitted against each member of JeriShow.

Sixth Match: The Party Has Just Began:

    R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre

My Prediction: 70% to Drew McIntyre and 30% to R-Truth

WWE hyped Drew McIntyre so much. That's why I predicted that Drew would beat Truth tonight, and he did. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Seventh Match: United States Championship: Triple Threat Match:

Kofi Kingston(United States Champion) vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger

My Prediction: 50% to Kofi Kingston, 30% to Jack Swagger and 20% to The Miz

Everything that I said regarding this match came true. First, I've predicted that The Jamaican Sensation would overcome all odds. Then, I've also predicted that Kofi would pin The Reality Superstar. I also believed that if there is someone who could topple Kingston as the United States Champion, it would be The All-American American. That is so evident with my percentages above. If you watched it, you would see that Swagger had almost won it. He was just outsmarted by Kingston. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT. Expect it on WWE Raw, Jack Swagger would brag that Kingston didn't pin him and he would challenge Kingston in a Singles Match for the United States Title.

Main Event: Hell in A Cell Match

D-Generation X vs. Legacy(Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase aka Team Priceless)

My Prediction: 55% to D-Generation X and 45% to Team Priceless

Before DX could enter the ring, Legacy ambushed DX from behind. It seemed that, once again, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase are one step ahead from Triple H & Shawn Michaels. Team Priceless even managed to lock HIAC from inside. HBK was trapped inside HIAC while HHH was lying motionless on the ramp. From then on, Legacy did all they can want to hurt Shawn, eventhough Shawn was doing everything he can to survive. At one point, The Game left the ringside. That event looked like that Triple H had given up and left Shawn alone inside HIAC with Cody & Ted. At the climax of the match, Legacy tried to redo what they did to Shawn at Breaking Point 2009. Cody tried to Figure Four Shawn while his legs were trapped on the bottom post of the turnbuckle while Ted tried to apply the Million Dollar Dream on to Shawn. But, The Cerebral Assassin came back with a bolt cutter. From this on, the table was turned upside down. The Showstopper and The King of Kings used all form of punishment on to Cody and Ted. DX ended the match with a simultaneous Sweet Chin Music and a Sledgehammer to the face of Cody and pinned Cody for the win. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT. Oh HELL YEAH! JeriShow had won their match as well as DX. I think that my prediction about their rivalry would come true.

TOTAL RESULT: 7 out of 8.

There you go folks! Wow! I did excellently this time. Almost all of my predictions for Hell in A Cell 2009 came true. I got 7 out of 8 matches. Well, if you think I was biased with my scoring here, you are welcome to rate me yourself by sending a comment to me and if you have anything else to say to me, you can include it in your comment. I promise you that I will continue to do this next time. Ciao!

    Den's Hell in A Cell 2009 Predictions

Sunday, October 4, 2009, 04:53 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!..Here I am, once again, broadcasting to you my unbiased predictions for the upcoming WWE Pay Per View. Next for WWE is the first ever Hell in A Cell PPV, wherein all main events are contested inside Hell in A Cell. So, without further ado, here goes:

WWE Championship Match: Hell in A Cell Match:

John Cena(WWE Champion) vs. Randy Orton

My Prediction: 55% to Randy Orton and 45% to John Cena

My Thoughts: My basis for picking The Legend Killer to win this match is the additional stipulation in this match. If RKO lost, he would no longer have another shot at the WWE Title against the Doctor of Thuganomics. I don't think that's going to happen. That's why I think that The Viper would pull out all the stops and reclaim the WWE Title from Cena.

World Heavyweight Championship: Hell in A Cell Match:

C.M. Punk(World Heavyweight Champion) vs. The Undertaker

My Prediction 55% to The Undertaker and 45% to C.M. Punk

My Thoughts: Hell in A Cell is The Phenom's specialty match plus the Hell's Gate is now completely legal. That's why I think that The Deadman would finally win the World Title against Punk. Though, I am not counting out the possibility that The Straightedge Superstar would pull an upset because in this match Punk could do whatever he wants to Taker and vice versa. This rivalry is far from over. But I still think that eventually, Kane would clash with The Undertaker one more time while Punk would clash with Batista.

    Intercontinental Championship:

John Morrison(Intercontinental Champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler

My Prediction: 60% to Dolph Ziggler and 40% to John Morrison

My Thoughts: Before this rivalry began, Dolph was scheduled to fight Rey Mysterio for the IC Title for the third time. Mr. Ziggles lost twice against Rey but many believed that the third time for Ziggler would be a charm but before the match could happen, The Shaman of Sexy won the IC Title from Rey. In addition to that, Ziggler has the momentum coming this Sunday. That's why I believed Ziggler would beat Morrison.

United States Championship: Triple Threat Match:

Kofi Kingston(United States Champion) vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger

My Prediction: 50% to Kofi Kingston, 30% to Jack Swagger and 20% to The Miz

My Thoughts: Although, The All-American American has the most momentum coming this Sunday, The Jamaican Sensation would, once again, overcome the odds and would successfully defend the U.S. Title. I think that Kofi would pin The Reality Superstar, taking him out from the U.S. Title scene. Then, Swagger would claim that Kofi never pinned him so, he's the most righteous to challenge for the U.S. Title.

    Unified Tag Team Championship:

Chris Jericho & Big Show(Unified Tag Team Champion) vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio

My Prediction: 60% to Chris Jericho & Big Show and 40% to Batista & Rey Mysterio

My Thoughts: I still think that JeriShow would have a rivalry with DX, that's why I believe that Y2J and The World's Largest Athlete would prevail against The Animal and The Master of 619.

    Divas' Championship:

Mickie James(Divas' Champion) vs. Alicia Fox

My Prediction: 70% to Mickie James and 30% to Alicia Fox

My Thoughts: Eventhough Fox has Mickie's number, I still think that James would beat Alicia Fox and retain the Divas' Championship.

    Hell in A Cell Match:

D-Generation X vs. Legacy(Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase aka Team Priceless)

My Prediction: 55% to D-Generation X and 45% to Team Priceless

My Thoughts: This is their third and, I think, final match. At first, DX proved why they are considered the most successful tag team ever. Then, at Breaking Point 2009, while many thought that Triple H & Shawn Michaels would win, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase surprised the world when, for the first time, Legacy made HBK tapped out. Now, for their third encounter, they will be inside Hell in Cell. The Showstopper won the first HIAC and HHH has the most wins inside HIAC while Cody & Ted would go inside HIAC for the first time. Eventhough, Team Priceless have DX's number, I still think that The Game & HBK would win this to end this rivalry, once and for all. As I said, The King of Kings and HBK would next battle the team of Chris Jericho & Big Show for the Unified Tag Team Championship.

    The Party Has Just Began:

    R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre

My Prediction: 70% to Drew McIntyre and 30% to R-Truth

My Thought: This is going to be Drew McIntyre's first actual competition. The WWE is hyping Drew very much. That's why I think that R-Truth would be just a stepping stone for McIntyre.

There you go folks, my unbiased predictions for WWE's Hell in A Cell 2009. As they say, anything can happen in the WWE. It only means that I may be wrong or I may be right. If you have any comment regarding this blog post, you are welcome to send it to me. Also, after I watched Breaking Point 2009, I will also post another blog, this time, about rating myself of how did I do with my predictions. Until next time. Ciao!

Den's Breaking Point 2009 Predictions, The Result

Monday, September 14, 2009, 12:46 PM AWST [General]

Hi there folks!...My last blog was about my unbiased predictions for WWE's first ever Breaking Point 2009. It is the only WWE Pay Per View wherein all main events will end via submission. I've finished watching that spectacular show. As I promised, I am going to rate myself based on the outcome of the Pay Per View. I also promise you that I will be as objective as I am when I'm doing my predictions for WWE's Pay Per Views. So here goes:

First Match: Unified Tag Team Championship:

Chris Jericho & Big Show(Unified Tag Team Champions) vs. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mark Henry

My Prediction: 80% to Chris Jericho and Big Show and 20% to Montel Vontavious Porter and Mark Henry

Once again, The Largest Athlete in the World delivered his Knockout Punch, this time, to The World's Strongest Man. Then, Y2J pinned Henry. As I've predicted, Jericho & Show would prevail over MVP & Henry. WITH THAT, I THINK DESERVE 1 POINT.

    Second Match: Unites States Championship:

Kofi Kingston(United States Champion) vs. The Miz

My Prediction: 55% to The Miz and 45% to Kofi Kingston.

I predicted that The Reality Superstar would become the new U.S. Champion but The Jamiacan Sensation hit The Trouble in Paradise to retain the U.S. Title. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT. Though, I think that The Miz is not yet thru with Kingston.

    Third Match: Submissions Count Anywhere:

D-Generation X vs. Legacy(Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBias aka Team Priceless)

My Prediction: 55% to D-Generation X and 45% to Team Priceless

I predicted that DX would win this street fight. I said that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase don't have any famous submission moves. Then, I said that Shawn Michaesl has his own version of Figure Four and Triple H is now using The Sharpshooter. That's why I believed that HHH and HBK would win. But, Legacy turned things around. Cody applied Figure Four over the ring post and Ted used his father's famous submission move, the Million Dollar Dream, simultaneously to Shawn who had no choice but to tap out. This means that this war is not yet over. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

    Fourth Match: Singapore Cane Match:

    The Great Khali vs. Kane

My Prediction: 60% to The Great Khali and 40% to Kane

I predicted that The Punjabi Playboy would even this rivalry by beating Kane but, once again, The Big Red Machine prevailed over Khali by using Chokeslam from Hell. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

    Fifth Match: ECW Championship:

    Chiristian(ECW Champion) vs. William Regal

My Prediction: 55% to William Regal and 45% to Christian

I predicted that Master Regal would become the new ECW Champion because of the presence of his two massive back-ups, Vladimir Kozlov & Ezeckiel Jackson. But, ECW GM Tiffany kicked the two behemoths out of the arena. This event spelled doomed for my prediction. And as it's result, Captain Charisma capitalized and successfully defended the ECW Title. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 0 POINT.

Sixth Match: WWE Championship: I Quit Match:

Randy Orton(WWE Champion) vs. John Cena

My Prediction: 60% to John Cena and 40% to Randy Orton.

I predicted that Cena would never say I Quit. The Legend Killer could hurt Cena as bad as he can, but, I believed that no physical abuse can make Cena give up. In the end, with the helped of a pair of hand-cuffs, the Doctor of Thuganomics applied the STF over The Viper which made Orton say I Quit. Cena is now a 6th time World Champion. Of course, this rivalry is not yet over. WITH THAT, I THINK I DESERVE 1 POINT.

Main Event: World Heavyweight Championship: Submission Match:

C.M. Punk(World Heavyweight Champion) vs. The Undertaker

My Prediction: 70% to The Undertaker and 30% to C.M. Punk

I predicted that The Phenom would win by using the Hell's Gate. I also predicted that Punk will never made Taker submit. At first, my prediction came true. The Deadman successfully applied the Hell's Gate over Punk and Punk quickly tapped out. But, Smackdown GM Theodore Long came out and said that the Hell's Gate was banned by Vickie Guerrero a long time ago and that law still applies today. So, Teddy Long restarted the match. Then, the Straightedge Superstar capitalized and somehow managed to apply the Anaconda Vice to The Undertaker. And, for some reason, the bell was heard and Punk was declared the winner and still the World Champion. We all know that Taker did not submit. What happened was a deja vu of the Montreal Screwjob. Nonetheless, Punk retained the World Title. WITH THAT, I THINK DESERVE 0 POINT. It is also clear that this rivalry is not yet over.

TOTAL RESULT: 2 out of 7.

There you go folks! Yikes! I believe I scored very low this time. I did bad today. Well, as I said that I could be wrong or I could be right. It turned out that I had many wrong today. I only got 2 out of 7 matches. Well, if you think I was biased with my scoring here, you are welcome to rate me yourself by sending a comment to me and if you have anything else to say to me, you can include it in your comment. I promise you that I will continue this next time. Ciao!
