About Me: When I was a kid I used to watch Championship Wrestling from Florida and some World Class Championship Wrestling with my uncle and grandfather, but it wasn't till the Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorf turned on Hulk Hogan in 1986 that I became a true fan. The next year I saw Wrestlemania III in close circuit at the James L Knight center and I have never missed a Wrestlemania since. Since then I have had a love hate relationship with wrestling. I was once a Mat Monitor WWF Fan Club representative for South Florida. I have attended many house shows, including the first two events held by ECW at the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium. And I'm happy to have attened two Wrestlemania live. To find more about me, visit http://www.maloned.com

bringing Wrestlemania back to the Sunshine State at..:

Miami Sports Commissioner Jose Diaz noted that WWE felt that the city had too
many events going on for it to reward Miami with Wrestlemania 27. Diaz
commented, "We have hosted 10 Super Bowls thus far.
No one has yet to accomplish this feat. The bid to host the WrestleMania
experience will persist until we are chosen."

I love these "What to watch on your DVR" highlights from PWinsider. I tought to watch everything on both shows. Here's what the recommend.

RAW: The only parts that aren’t must see are the Divas ‘match’ as well as the hot tub segments (but the sight of Tiffany in the bikini makes it worth watching). Make sure to find a way to keep the Shawn Michaels farewell. You won’t be disappointed.

iMPACT: The X Division tag match; Tara/Daffney A.J./Jarrett match (until the ref bump); the Eric Young and Kurt Angle promos.

Dixie Carter wrote on her Twitter, "Spoke w/Sting last nite. We've renewed his contract & he said he wouldn't miss Mondays live show for anything. Can't wait to work w/Hulk."

Sting hasn't been seen since appearing in the rafters on the January 4th iMPACT. There had also been some rumors that he no-showed a show, based on some comments Eric Bischoff made on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show.

I was really hoping Sting would get at least a short run in the WWE. At least a one year contract. Have him do a program against HBK, then maybe a put over a younger guy, produce a DVD, induct him into the HOF, and that's it.

I don't think that's going to ever happen now based on Dixie's tweetie and the Ric Flair's article on Post and Courier article where it said about Ric Flair, "Perhaps nothing made Flair feel more at home than when Sting, whose career Flair helped jump-start in 1988, walked over to him in a locker room full of TNA talent, hugged him, and told the 16-time world champion: “You’re the reason I’m staying.'"

It's said that Sting is perhaps the most well-known pro wrestler, of the modern era, to have never signed with the WWE. Oh well.. What can you do?

    Raw Ramblings

I didn't get to see the Elimination Chamber. I read the results as they happened while my wife watched Julie & Julia on the TV. Here's my ramblings about the matter.

I wasn't very happy with the results. I have been happy with the direction that RAW was going, but the Chamber PPV threw a wrench into that.

I was hoping that it wouldn't end up being HBK wrestling the Undertaker again. This storyline has been very good and very layered. They teased that he wasn't going to end up getting the match and that's what I was hoping for. Somehow that it would have been Shawn Michaels against Triple H. It seemed that DX was going to break up. This retirement gimmick with HBK scares me. Is HBK going to retire. I don't think he is. I certainly hope that he doesn't end the Taker's streak. That streak should be broken by whom ever is really going to be the next big thing. When they find the guy who's going to be the next Hogan/Austin/Rock.. then have Taker put that guy over at Mania. But I have to admit. The story telling has been great.

I wasn't happy to see Cena win the title again at the Chamber and I wasn't happy to see Batista win it after. Both these guys have had their run. They don't need a belt to be sell that match. I was already interested in that match, now I'm not so much. I don't want either of those guys to leave as champion.

I'm excited to see the Jericho / Edge match. I think it can be real good. But... just like Cena and Batista, I don't want to see Edge get the belt. Triple H, Orton, Batista, Cena and Edge have had a long era of swapping World Titles, it needs to end. Jericho hasn't had an extended title reign.

I might not like where things are going, but the ride has been amazing. It's been a good time to be a wrestling fan. iMpact has been good, RAW has been good, I'm curious about nXT and excited for Wrestlemania. Let's see what happens with Bret next week.
