As you all know, August 31st is Mickie's birthday. She hits the big 3-0.
Just in case you missed my last shoutouts, those of you in or near Bloomfield Hills, Michigan can wish her a happy birthday in person. Mickie and Evan Bourne are scheduled to appear at Coldstone Creamery on the 31st from 11 AM to 1 PM. The address is 42761 Woodward Ave.
Congrats to Mickie for being named number 1 on this year's PWI top 50 Women in wrestling.
Finally, on a personal note, I think too many people have been hard on Mickie. Sure the ending of the match with Gail Kim was botched. She was also obviously less than thrilled by the match. I personally think it was because Mickie knew that she and Gail Kim could do much better. I won't throw her under a bus and say that she has lost her touch because of a bad match. Every wrestler has had at least one bad match in their career. Mickie is one of the best wrestling divas in the WWE and that match has not changed that.
Tonight, Mickie James defeated Maryse to win the Diva belt. If you saw the match like I did, you saw that it was not easy. Mickie almost got herself disqualified at one point. It was a good match and I am so happy with the outcome. As of now, it looks like Maryse has no belt and no Miz. As usual I look forward to your input.
In less than 2 hours, NOC starts. Mickie finally gets the chance to wrestle for the Divas belt. Will she win or will Maryse be able to hold on to the belt. We will see tonight.
Mickie James was victorious in tonight's fatal four way match. That means she finally faces Maryse for the Divas Championship.
I have an opinion about what happened last night. It might be a bit controversial but here goes. I'm sure all of you were hoping that it would be Mickie James that would make history. Instead it was Michelle McCool. Don't feel bad for Mickie. Feel bad for Michelle. The way things look now, Mickie will be remembered as one of the most popular divas of her time. Michelle will be thought of as somebody that used her relationship with a huge WWE superstar to get her way, whether it's true or not. I'm sure you all heard the cheers Mickie got when she stared Maryse down after the match. Compare that to the silence when Michelle won last night. I don't hate Michelle but I think that her being the first to win both belts will ultimately hurt her career. What say you?
It has been reported on theinsider.com that Mickie James, Trish Stratus and ECW GM Tiffany participated in this year's 300 event. This is a charity event that takes special needs children from Canada to Disney World. This is the 20th year of this event. Mickie has been known to participate in similar events in the past.
