It's been over six years now since the Rob Van Dam unified the the Intercontinental and European titles, effectively making the latter defunct, and I see now as a great time to bring it back. Because of the time lengths of the different brands, and due to the wrestlers involved in them, I'd like to see it re-instated as a Adamle not-so-original move on Raw.
You have plenty of potential title holders-
- Santino Marella: As Intercontinental Champion he seems to be punching above his weight, but obviously could be a quality comedy heel new European Champion.
- William Regal: The WWE doesn't really have much else to do with him, King of the Ring, thats it.
- Paul Burchill: Slipped under the rader recently, not been appearing that often, but this sort of Championship might help him establish himself.
- And then some non-European others who could easily fit the bill: D'Lo Brown, Charlie Haas, Chuck Palumbo, Jamie Noble.
The only real problem with having it is a bit of title congestion, with World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, Womens and Tag Team all on Raw. But to be honest given the way they intermittantly defend the Intercontinetal title, I still thik its workable.
