Respect, to some people this word means nothing, but to other people respect means the world, Respect means alot to me, not how much other people respect me but how much I respect other people. Instead of being ignorant I try to understand what the other person has gone through. There is a big difference between respect and friendship you can hate someone with a burning passion but that does not mean you don't have to respect them. It can go the other way around too, you can not have an ounce of respect for someone but you still might be best friends with them .
