    SmackDown RunDown! 11/2/08

Sunday, November 2, 2008, 11:36 AM EST [General]

My second edition of SmackDown Rundown, although I should have done this on Halloween night, I think I'll be posting my thoughts on Sundays from now on. Anyway on to SmackDown. I thought a very Halloween edition of SmackDown was very although I thought it really wasnt that hallowed themed enough to be honest? We still got a jam packed show nonetheless and the San deigo crowd was pretty much a hot bunch friday night. I'll be quickly running down the matches from last night and giving my touch of what I liked.

    1) Carlito and Primo vs. John Morrison and The Miz

The first match to kick of SmackDown was my favorite tag team taking of carlito and Primo taking on John morrison and The miz. Now almost immediatly after the bell ringed I knew that carlito and Primo might have been jobbing due to the fact that Morrison and Miz face DX on next weeks 800th celebration show of Raw, so what better way then to stick to HHH and Michaels by defeating the WWE Tag Team Champions in a non-title match. I hated the fact Carltio and Primo jobbed, but at the same time the match was great and we got some high flying action from these 2 teams. in the end though Morrison and Miz stole one from my boys Carly and Primo.

    Winners - Morrsion and Miz

    2) The Brian Kendrick vs. Jimmy Wang Yang

The second match of the night saw THE Brian Kendrick taking on another one of my favorite Jimmy Yang, or should I say John Wayne Yang? Anyway it was nice to see Jimmy again, although he is still sporting the cowboy gimmick which has grown quite stale on me, WWE mangement seriously needs to come up with something different for yang, how longer are we going to have to suffer with him being a cowboy. Yang is a great in-ring prospect, but he needs to be re-packaged and bad. We got another great match here between kendrick and Yang, with lots of fast pace moves. The end finish saw Kendricks advisor Ezekiel Jackson interfering, causing a DQ finish for Kendrick resulting  a win for Jimmy Yang. The push Kendrick is getting is quite interesting and it is only a matter of time before The Brian Kendrick is holding singles gold.

    Winner - The Brian Kendrick

    3) The Hardyz and Rey Mysterio vs. Kane, Mark Henry and MVP

Hmm this was probably my match of  the night we had 6-man tag action feauting San Diego's own Rey Mysterio the ECW Champion Matt Hardy with his brother The chrisicmatc Enigma taking on the big red machine, the world strongest man and a man that cant win a match to save his life MVP. Now i've been big on MVP since his debut, but the losing streak this guy is on is killing and killing this mans career. I just hope a big bonus comes outta this in the future, becuase MVP's career is going down hill fast. Lots of great action here with Jeff hardy getting the win for his teaming pinning MVP for like his 11th straight lost in a row. *ouch*

Winners - Matt, Jeff, and Rey Mysterio

    4) Michelle McCool & Maria & Brie Bella vs. Natalya, Maryse and Victoria

The forth match of the night saw the beautiful SD! divas in some good ole 6-Diva tag action, we saw the divas wearing there costumes that they wore from cyber sunday while competing. This match wasnt bad at all, although I could help laugh see Victoria in that Banana, it was just hilarious and I always love her. The face divas got alot of offense in and the end saw Maria tagging herself in from Michelle and doing a diving crossbody to pin Victoria. I tell ya Michelle didnt look to happy about it and tensions are already flaring between herself and Maria, cant wait til there Divas Championship match.

Winners - Michelle, Maria and Brie Bella

Main Event: Undertaker vs. Chavo Guerrero (Casket Match)

And now our Main event of the evening saw The Undertaker facing a surprised opponent in a Casket match, which SD! General Manager Vickie Guerrero mentioned earlier in the evening to be Chavo Guerrero. You can tell Chavo was mad hahaha. later on in the evening Chavo did his best to try and stay confident for the match, but you could see the look in his eyes as the deadman made his way to the ring. Not long after the match began, The Big Show made his way out to the ring still holding his neck, from their match at Cyber Sundy in which Bigshow lost a last man standing match. The end saw Bigshow trying to interfere on Chavos behalf to bury Undertaker in that casket, but obviously to no advail Undertaker over powered both Show and Chavo and Undertaker put Chavos body in the casket for the win.

    Winner - The Undertaker

Overall I enjoyed SmackDown and cant wait for next weeks show which will be headline by Vladimir Koslov taking on The Undertaker with the stipulation of if Koslov wins he will face Triple H at Survivor Series for the WWE Championship, this sounds quite interesting, does Koslov have what it takes to defeat the deadman? Well I'll tune in to find out.

    SmackDown RunDown!

Saturday, October 25, 2008, 03:20 AM EST [General]

Wow cant believe im writing my first blog, well techincally this is my 2nd one ever, but its been awhile. I will just be quickly giving my thoughts on the matches that took place on the Oct. 24th edition of Smackdown. Overall the show was good and the matches werent that bad. So lets get started.

    1) Natalya and Maryse vs. Michelle McCool and Maria

This was quite an interesting opener, I thought the match could have gone on longer, but thats just me. I was actually hoping to see maria take on Michelle for the Divas championship, but I guess thats being saved for another week. Jesse and Festus coming down with the Marichi band was a little weird and im wondering where this storyline is going between Festus and Maria and where does Michelle McCool. fit in all of this. Anyway Maryse got the win which she seems to be getting over on McCool alot lately hmmmm.

    2) Primo and Carlito vs. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely

The second match of the night saw Carlito and his brother Primo who are the current WWE Tag Team Champions batting Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely in a non title match. This was another good match and im huge fans of Carlito and Primo. Chavo and Bam on the other hand didnt look so hot with Chavo constantly telling Bam to get his head in the game. The conclusion of the match saw Chavo provoking Bam which led to the Backstabber from Carlito and the 3 count. I just knew Chavo and Bam would eventually break up as a team.

    3) Shelton Benjamin and MVP vs. R-Truth and Kung Fu Naki

Ok this one was probably my match of the night. Who would have ever thought Funaki would finally recieve a push and a win over MVP, I mean its been years since Funaki had a decent push  and him and R-Truth looked great as a tandem in the ring. Could we see anew Tag Team in the works for these 2? I think it will be awesome.

    4) The Brian Kendrick vs. Super Crazy

I wasnt really to crazy about this match, but its always nice to see Super Crazy wrestling, as this guy is just simply awesome.. Last week Kendrick came up with some lame excuse about being sick and had his enforcer Ezekiel Jackson fill in for him in which he dominated Super Crazy. I tell ya Ezekiel is going places and is definely a future main eventer in the WWE. This week Kendrick was back in action as he is continuing on his new road of sucess by defeating crazy. Im liking Kendricks new gimmick and hopefully it'll take him further then most people realize.

Main Event: Undertaker vs. Triple H

This was the match I was waiting for, I mean How long has it been since we last seen Undertaker and Triple H lock up in the squared circle. quite a long time now, its been about 6 yrs now so thats a very long time. This match was pretty good nonetheless and both men really gave it there all, although im not too fond of DQ finishes both superstars had to look good out there, even though I feel Undertaker was the winner due to Big Show coming out and assulting him the angle was set up great for this sundays Cyber Sunday PPV. After the match Undertaker left the ring and Vladimir Koslov came out to dismantle Triple H even more thats hes the most dominate superstar on SmackDown. However on sunday it'll be up to us fans on who we want to see face Triple H, and personally I would text the Triple Threat match, but since I dont have a cell phone oh well, all I can do is hope for the best.
