Meeting a WWE icon: Back from WWE in London, 10th November 2008

Saturday, November 22, 2008, 11:49 PM GMT [General]

I've just got back from London, after spending the day there in various parts for the SmackDown! WWE Survivor Series tour. Firstly, I was able to do something I never dreamed would be possible, and that was to meet my personal, life long inspiration, idol, an icon in my opinion... WWE Superstar 'Jeff Hardy'. The in-store signing took place at 'Zavvi' on Oxford Street. Words cannot describe what an honour it was to meet him today. I honestly have no idea what I said, as I was completely star struck. He was beyond kind with his complements, which mean the absolute world to me. Jeff, if you do ever read this... I can't thank you enough for what you said! Thank you so so much. I never thought it would be possible, but I admire you even more. You are the definition of a true inspiration.

I then moved on to the SmackDown! LIVE event at The o2 Arena. Headlined by The Undertaker vs Big Show, in a falls count anywhere match. They certainly stole the show, and put on a fantastic match. It's always an incredible privilage when WWE visits England, London inparticular, and as always would like to thank them so much for today. Every time they visit, it always makes me even more certain that this is what I want to do, and what I am so passionate about. I have always truly respected, and been inspired by the whole WWE locker room, whether that's the superstars themselves, referees, or production crew. So many people don't understand their incredibly tough schedule, but they go out each and every time, putting on a show for the fans.

    Thank you WWE!

An amazing week in London for RAW, SmackDown & ECW

Sunday, April 20, 2008, 12:57 AM GMT [General]

It's been an amazing and tiring week. I began on Monday by travelling up to London to Greenwich and Canary Wharf, the location of my hotel and the o2 arena. Immediately seeing the unique venue, which is the o2 arena.

It was a real treat to see the WWE bringing over parts of the HD set, as so many of us expected to see the same/similar stage to that used over the last few years. Thank you WWE! :-)

RAW was incredible, as expected. Lilian Garcia is always so kind, and gives so much. She's a true asset to monday night Raw. To see JBL vs Triple H was an added bonus. Although we will have to wait until Backlash to see who is the best out of not only those 2, but also Randy Orton and John Cena as well. I've always wanted to see a championship change hands in person, and this was the night! Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix to win the woman's title once again, which was a real surprise to most.

After spending the second day in Canary Wharf, I headed back to the o2 for ECW and SmackDown! I love ECW anyway, but this weeks show was certainly one of the best. Not only with the 8 man tag team match, but also seeing Kane and The Undertaker re-unite once again, to take on the tag team champions The Miz and John Morrison. I'm a huge fan of Lena Yada, as well as all the WWE Divas, so to see all of them compete in the dance contest on ECW was fantastic. Especially since there was a chance she wouldn't be coming over for the tour.

We were then treated to a second match from the Undertaker, which was absolutely incredible. Another episode in the Batista/Undertaker saga. Edge, Hawkins and Ryder all say just a few rows away, which was so surreal. Even though it wasn't long before all 3 were re-introduced to Batista and The Undertaker.

It was an absolute honour to be able to see WWE LIVE for the 6th and 7th time. As always they put on simply outstanding shows, which words simply cannot describe. Thank you so so much, I'm counting the days until the next tour in November! :-)
