    TWEET HEAT AND WHAT'S IN A NAME?

    First and foremost, I would like to thank all the wrestling dirt sites that took notice and linked to my passionate tweets at twitter.com/wwejoeystyles. All of the media coverage has resulted in a 20% increase in followers in a single week!

    Sunday night at Extreme Rules, fellow ECW Original Tommy Dreamer won his second ECW Championship almost nine years after winning his first one at The ECW Arena in Philadelphia. While I didn't have the privilege of calling the match (I would have come out of retirement just for Tommy and The Original ECW), I did interview Tommy immediately after his match exclusively on WWE.com and both of us shed tears of joy.

    In 2000, after winning his first ECW Championship, Tommy was challenged to defend the title immediately. Tommy let his pride get the better of him, accepted the match, had his own manager betray him and lost the ECW Championship. Tommy never got to wear the title belt.

    Well, Sunday night after our online interview I accompanied Tommy Dreamer to our locker room photo studio and personally snapped the ECW Championship belt around the new champion's waist so history could be properly documented and will live forever.

    ECW without Tommy Dreamer would be like the New York Yankees without pinstripes. Sure, they would still be called The Yankees but what's in a name? A name is just a name. A rose by any other name would not smell as sweet. In fact, I would argue that it would stink on ice.

    I complete this blog feeling an inner peace because The Yankees wear pinstripes and ECW has Tommy Dreamer.

    Dream on Original ECW fans because in some ways, the dream lives on.

    Yeah i'm so happy for Tommy, it's only right that he wears that belt he is an original
    i to really miss the good old days but watered down ECW is better than no ECW

    Great blog Mr. Joey Styles. I thought it was awesome when Tommy Dreamer finally won the ECW Title since the rebirth of ECW. I an disappointed that you couldn't call the match. What would have made the night better if Sabu and The Sandman was still in the business top celebrate with him.

    Can we separate wrestling and politics? Please.

    This would have been a decent blog had it not been for the twitter thing being brought up and I think its sad that some guys have to stoop to what are basically lies in order to get some sort of attention. If you wanted to complain about Obama, you should have done it during the election, not while he is in office. Sit down, shut up, and support him or leave the damn country if he bothers you that much. If you still have a problem with it, why don't you run for office in a few years, let's see how well "OH MY GOD! 2012" does.

    I just read the WWE restricted your internet access on twitter because they were afraid your political views weren't kosher with the public. I've noticed your absence since I follow you, please tell me this is not true.

    I can't believe that an American businessman like Vince McMahon would do something like this to anyone. Has he read what Bischoff is posting recently on his site and tweets?

    Maybe the WWE should help make younger Americans more aware of the dangers of NOT watching your government and thinking that government is an answer to their problem. It's not, it will pander to you, but ultimately consume you. I remember my father telling me that good people can become bad because power corrupts them and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

    Send me email if you can speak in public.

    Hopefully, this is untrue.
