I am happy to be in NYC because that means the WWE Nation will pack Madison Square Garden Tuesday night for the taping of ECW/Friday Night Smackdown.

Edge is the new #1 man on SD. Who will be his #1 contender going into Judgment Day? One would assume we'll find out this week on SD. Could be one of several individuals. I'm relatively sure GM Teddy Long will settle this matter in the ring.

Don't count out the multi talented CM Punk because of his Backlash loss to Kane. The Chicago Made Punk is being counted on to be a main event player on Friday night. I like his Muay Tai strikes and his toughness. I wish I knew more about him. FTW Kane has beaten many BTP'ers.

Interesting verbal interation between Edge & Christian at Backlash. Made me think of three letters ....TLC.

Many young fans will never

No Way Out is in the books, you know “the books,” and “My Tazz,” MyNetworkTV’s biggest star, and I are back from the Pacific Northwest after a couple of days in Seattle and two days in Portland. It was an interesting road trip to say the least, and I usually don’t … say the least that is.

In case you haven’t heard, Edge, who still works for his wife on Friday Night SmackDown, is the new World Heavyweight Champion much to the chagrin of the ubiquitous John Cena and the Raw Universe. WWE HOF’er Bobby “The Brain” Heenan has been called “Weasel” in the past, but I’m sure “The Brain” would be willing to loan Edge the “Weasel” moniker as that is how the Ontario native became an

From the land where people love’s J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q Restaurants more than they adore Olympian Michael Phelps, your resident Okie has a weekly helping of SmackDown and some delicious “side dishes” for your sports-entertainment taste buds.

Raw’s John Cena and Batista are now not on the other’s holiday card list. There’s a significant physical confrontation between these two this Sunday at the 21st SummerSlam. This one won’t resemble a Funk vs. Brisco mat classic from the 1970s, and my best guess is that we are going to see a slobberknocker of a brawl along the lines of those of yesteryear in my hometown tavern on a payday Friday night.

Prediction:
I’m taking Batista and the points.

CM Punk, who is World Heavyweight Champion

I may be a little edgy or attitudinal today, because one simply has to be that way to make it big here on WWE.com, OR be a hot Diva of which I am not, nor are there enough surgical procedures in the world to accomplish such.

Nice Great American Bash Sunday in Long Island, where I noticed that most folks talked differently than I. Nonetheless, I enjoyed signing autographs and such at Franklin Square Video on Long Island with Jerry Lawler and Mick Foley, the first time all three of us were together in one place at the same time for a signing. Cool couple of hours, and I discovered what to get my pal Mick for the holidays, a Rand McNally Road Atlas or one of those little GPS systems.

SmackDown had a good Bash, and the SmackDown announce team even got to sit in the middle between the Raw and

Random thoughts from under the custom made black hat, after a busy three days that were good, especially considering that I never had to board one airplane. Other than the Mrs. providing me the occasional assist with my driving, and not understanding why I needed a Whataburger stop at midnight coming back to Norman from Dallas Sunday night, this was the most enjoyable few days of travel yours truly has experienced in a while.

The Night of Champions was a really solid pay-per-view in Dallas, and the huge, sold-out crowd in the American Airlines Center (not Arena) didn’t hurt a thing. It has been said many times in my ramblings over the years that a hot, live crowd can make a good show great – and a great show a lasting memory.

Working my first PPV with Mick Foley was fun and
