    Scramble Match never took place

Wednesday, April 29, 2009, 07:49 AM EST [SmackDown!]

The scrambled match scheduled for Smackdown! never took place.  Instead, it was a Fatal Four-Way match for the #1 contender for the World title at Judgment Day.  The winner was Jeff Hardy who beat out Chris Jericho, Kane and Rey Mysterio.  Later that evening, Edge and CM Punk faced each other in a non-title match and CM Punk announced that if he won, he would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.  He did win, but Umaga interfered but the announcement for the World title was not official, so CM Punk still has his Money in the Bank claim for now.

Victoria/Lisa Marie Varon calls it a career (Spoiler)

Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 03:08 PM EST [SmackDown!]

It was time for Victoria to call it quits and announced her retirement in Omaha, Nebraska after her loss with Michelle McCool which airs this Friday on Smackdown!

Victoria has been in the business for nearly 8.5 years and it's her time to hang it up for this diva.  We wish her all the future endeavours.

Because of Jeff Hardy's injuries, Edge put him on the spot on his Cutting Edge that you'll see this Friday as well.

The Undertaker will return on the January 23 episode of Smackdown! and enter his name in the Royal Rumble.

Smackdown! had non-title matches as well, the only thing on the line was their efforts to get to the higher ranks which did happen.  However, Triple H had to get in another Handicap match and losing to Kozlov & Big Show and later Edge hitting Triple H with the mic before going off the air to see if he can survive the upcoming Royal Rumble in Detroit on Sunday, January 25, 2009.
