    Michael Hayes and Fanny Packs

Monday, June 8, 2009, 04:59 PM EST [General]

Well, my wife is happy. My fanny pack broke. I think Michael Hayes and I were only people alive to still have them anyway. I don't think you can even buy them anymore.

And, I have to defend myself-I never wore it, I just used it to carry my valaubles to the gym. Michael is the only guy I have ever seen wear one with a suit-if you call that thing he has on that must have batteries a suit.

Michael is also only VP I have ever seen where one. Of course, I think he is one of best things WWE has at their availability to use. Michael has one of best brains in the business. And, for those of you that never saw the Freebirds, you will never know how over those guys were, it was awesome.

I broke in the business in Dallas with the Freebirds and Von Erichs-it was unreal. Those guys were mega stars.

I notice that the Mets aren't waiting till September to implode, what the heck? Get it over early.

Brian Gewirts and I share tickets to the Mets. We went the other day and sat in our obstructed view seats, it was hard to concentrate with all the planes flying by us-Citi field is right in the flight plan of LaGuardia and our seats are really high up.

I was in Doral last weekend with my sales team, they hit all their goals and we went there as a bonus. Rumor has it that Michael Hayes once drove a golf cart into the lake there.

I am going to Bermuda this weekend to play Mid Ocean and do a little business. I don't know if Michael ever drove a golf cart into the ocean but we will be closer there than our tickets to Citi field are to the Mets.

www.CustomMuscle.com is getting better and better, it is the best priced nutrition site on the web today. Check it out.

Also, check me out every Saturday morning at 1130a EST on Fox News and my radio show at www.webtalkradio.net

    Murderers and Thieves we honor

Sunday, May 24, 2009, 11:57 AM EST [General]

History can be strange. Edward Teech was the infamous Blackbeard, the pirate. He is honored as a hero in some places. So is Sir Francis Drake. Both were murderers and thieves.

Could you imagine making statues of the pirates in Somalia, well that's what we have done with these guys.

I am in St Thomas, a beautiful place, for Memorial Day weekend. This is my first Memorial Day off in two decades. I see that WWE is having a little problem with the Denver Nuggets this weekend.

With the great show the WWE always puts on, a little extra publicity never hurts. And for the Denver Nuggets, who up till now, no one knew how good they were-this extra spotlight is perfect. The matchup between Kobe and Anthony has been awesome. Kobe is winning this series with his great play. Sounds to me like a real hassle but publicity wise a win-win for both.

Back to pirates-Sir Francis Drake is honored here in St Thomas. Drake was a slave trader; he kidnapped human beings and sold them. Many died on the way-he is a rotten no good human trafficker and murderer, not to mention a thief. Was he brave, no, he was an opportunist.

The UK government gave him knighthood, of course around the same time the government started their own religion because the king wanted to kill his wife and commit adultery. Most religions were found on an immaculate conception-the Church of England was found on adultery and murder-no wonder they knighted a murderer and slave trader like Drake.

Am I being hypocritical? No, I am just asking that the ones who honor these guys are not hypocritical.

Columbus was a terrible navigator, robbed from the local people and we have a day in his honor. He was a moron that stole. He missed his mark by an entire hemisphere.

Also, how can you come to a place that already had people there, plant your flag and say you own it? You call these guys heroes? I call them thieves.

You want heroes? How about Armstrong and Aldrin? How about Shackleton? How about Hillary? How about Livingstone? These are heroes.

Last night I saw the Moko Jumbie perform. He is the St Thomas Boogeyman. I got a little nervous since I once lost to Boogeyman in less than 2 minutes at the Royal Rumble.

Don't forget to check out www.CustomMuscle.com our sales are going through the roof thanks to our great prices of supplements and nutrition items. You can buy all Layfield Products here along with all your supplements you use.

Mets and Ranger in First, is it Armeggedon?

Monday, May 11, 2009, 08:34 AM EST [General]

    May 11, 2009

My Rangers are in first place finally. I am a long time Texas Ranger fan which means I hate baseball, but this year they are performing well which is great. Also, the Mets are on a 7 game winning streak.

I share tickets with Brian Gewirtz, head writer of Monday Night Raw, and our tickets aren't exactly where you would expect JBL to sit. In fact, they are so far back the Mets are just on their 5th straight victory there-they are so far back, they are actually back in time. There is a slightly obstructed view which is good because it shields the wind because they are so high up and it is freezing up there.

I plan on going tonight if I can find a Sherpa to guide me. If you look up when you fly into LaGuardia you will see our seats, and perhaps me or Brian.

We got a heck of a sale going on our web store. www. CustomMuscle.com is the store, go into Supplement Superstore and then click on "Specials". We have got a special on Champion products this month and Layfield Energy products, if you ever want to try any of these products, there will never be lower prices. We have the best prices throughout the nutrition world. Give us a try.

I thought President Obama was hilarious at the White House Correspondence dinner, I always think Wanda Sykes is funny.

Had a great time at the "On the Run" store in La Vergne, Tennessee this past Friday with my Fox 17 guys. Charlie Chase and Kelly Sutton, on Tennessee Mornings, are two of the best hosts I have ever worked with. The guys are a pleasure to watch. It's kinda like watching Michael Jordan at his heyday, he wasn't just the best-he also enjoyed what he did and that was palpable.

Watched the Players Championship yesterday at TPC Sawgrass. I played the course with Michelle McCool's dad, a terrific individual and unfortunately, for me, a great golfer. I got beat significantly, but I did get a par on the famous par 3.

I lost $1.00 on the golf course Saturday at Friar's Head in the Hamptons to my good friend Wild Bob, Bob had an impossible shot and I bet him a dollar he would not get it on green and he did. So today I will mail him dollar, because I didn't have one on me at the time. One of best golf courses in the world; I just wished it wasn't a walking course. Golf is so much better with carts.

Bob and I caught two 100 pound tarpon earlier in the spring down in the Keys at the same time and landed both. We were fishing with former world record holder Tim Carlile out of Sugarloaf Key (mile marker 17.5), best fishing captain in the world.

Don't forget to watch me on Cavuto every night at 6p ET on Fox Business, Neil Cavuto, in my opinion, is best interviewer on TV. And, on Cashin' In with my good friends, Terry Keenan, Jonathan Hoenig, Tracy Byrnes (whose book you should read, it's terrific), Wayne Rogers and Jonas Max Ferris-every Saturday at 1130a ET.

And, my radio show on WebTalkRadio.net.

And, I am slowly getting into the 21st Century, I am now on Twitter. JCLayfield. My seats at Citi are probably too far away to Twitter, but I can Twitter before I get there in case I get altitude sickness and someone needs to helicopter me down.

    Big party time

Monday, May 4, 2009, 04:26 PM EST [General]

    May 4, 2009

Saw Batista at the big fight with Pacquiao, I was unbelievably impressed with Manny's power. Hatton is a very tough guy and for him to go down like that shows the power Manny possesses.

We finally got the www.CustomMuscle.com site ready for our big sale; you won't believe our prices we have. Go on and check it out for all your supplement needs. The price on Layfield Energy products alone is worth the quick peek.

Batista has developed into the star everyone was hoping he would be. One of my last tours in Puerto Rico had Kane and I wrestling against him and Rey. The ovation Batista got was one of loudest I have ever heard, it was amazing to hear in person. Needless to say, that night was easy.  I am glad to see the success Dave has had, and will continue to have.

36,000 people died in the US alone last year due to the normal flu. I have to say that unless this thing morphs, this is no big deal. I know the Spanish Flu that reportedly killed 20 million started out small, but so far this thing is not a strong virus. So take the Subway and fly on a plane and tell our VP to shut up. I am sure the President would like the VP to shut up sometimes, but then that goes for all presidents and VPs.

I am now booking my travel to run with the bulls this year in Pamplona with my good buddy Mike Corcell. Mike, the Elf, and I have a world tour going and this year's stop is in Pamplona. I planned on doing it last year and pulled out at last minute due to a death in the Elf's family. This year we run. And, then on to St Andrews if I don't have a bull horn up my rear end. My good friend and caddie Frasier will be there to take away my driver again.

Only problem is I may miss Brock's next fight if I go, but I gotta go. I think Brock will be just fine without me.

Check out my radio show at www.webtalkradio.net and don't forget to go onto www.CustomMuscle.com to buy all your supplements-it really is the best prices on the web or anywhere.

I get to go to Time Magazine Top 100 Most Influential People in the world party on Tuesday. Not because of who I am but because of who I married. I used to kid guys about the overachiever club, I am now president. It's going to be cool to see all these famous and important people Tuesday night. But as the Shiek would say, "Who have they beat?"

And, I will be at On the Run with Fox 17 in LaVergne, Tn and Tennessee Mornings on Friday morning early 7-9a I think, to promote my good friends, Kelly Sutton and Charlie Chase, show and my own products at the On the Run convenience store. We will be doing a live remote there with gas giveaways and all kinds of things.

Time 100 Most Influential People in the World List

Friday, May 1, 2009, 08:03 AM EST [General]

I've only been retired a month and already second fiddle. My wife was named to Time 100 Most Influential People in the World list this week and I wasn't. Who voted this way? Don't they know how big JBL still is.

So, now I go to this fancy party and it won't be about me. I may have to make comeback-no, wait, I think I'll just enjoy party and the honor my wife has received.

Our first full month with www.CustomMuscle.com is upon us. A lot of work but we finally have the best site on web and it will only get better. If you buy any nutritional supplements, give us a chance.

President Obama's first 100 days and he has spent more than Bush did on Iraq, Afghanistan and Katrina combined. Didn't he run on fiscal discipline? After all he said no ear marks and his VP had 56 in the last bill.

I am pulling for my President, but somewhere this spending has to stop. However, 40% of earmarks were Republican-so it's not like the other side is better.

How is it that the politicians say that they are transparent with ear marks and it is OK? So, if you are stealing with the lights on it's just fine?

Check out my radio show at www.webtalkradio.net to hear more.
