Very sorry to hear about my good friend Jerry Brisco. Jerry has texted me a couple of times to say he can still whip my #$@# and not to get cocky-so I think he is feeling better.
Jerry and JJ Dillon were the ones that pulled me aside after my tryout match in Bethlehem, Pa against Savio Vega in December of 1995 and offer me a job.
I had a tentative deal with WCW, not much money but at that time guaranteed was not normal, and I turned it down due to Vince telling me he would give me great opportunity. I never looked back and Vince was true to his word.
WCW had offered me $75,000 a year the first year and flippantly had said they would give me around $150,000 the second. This was more money than I had ever made and living in Europe in a 16 foot long trailer (my first home was 64 square feet) it was very tempting. However, something about Vince made me believe him that he would treat me fairly and he did.
Vince told me in that first meeting we would have problems, and we did, but we would come through it together and we did. I am very happy to have made the decision I made which was prompted by Jerry Brisco wanting to sign me first.
I have had some fun, fun times with Jerry since then. I saw he and Bischoff get into a pretty good scuffle in a bar in Oklahoma on Jerry's 60th birthday. Eric didn't think Jerry could possibly be as good as his reputation, Eric was wrong. However, Eric was not alone. Jerry had done the same thing to me several times. I give Eric credit for trying him-Eric was good in his effort and courage, but I give Jerry credit for winning.
The only difference between Eric and me is I had lost to Jerry several times not just once in a bar. Of course, what do you expect it was Oklahoma and Jerry's birthday.
WCW's offer was never official, I have to clear up. It was one of Eric's guys calling me and telling me that is what they thought that they would do. So I don't want it to sound like there was a bidding war. Eric may have not even known I was talked to at that time.
Jerry was real old school but did not have fanny pack. I was called by the Freebird this past weekend about my fanny pack comments. I was in Bermuda playing golf and Freebird called me to check on Jerry and mentioned I had blogged about his fanny pack. This is true. But, how can you not mention a fanny pack in a blog?
Michael has had a life they need to tell the story on. I lived part of it, and it was awesome-don't remember a lot of it. Michael was as over as anyone I have ever seen and Michael was, and is, a Freebird 24/7. I am not sure about the fanny pack though.
We got some new pre workout boosters on www.CustomMuscle.com. We are getting some cutting edge stuff and prices are out of this world. I saw an order from Terry Gordy's kid, Ray, and in comments he said "Have Charlie (Haas) kiss my $@#$." Now tell me that isn't a Freebird off the old tree. Maybe we should start selling fanny packs.
Don't forget to listen to my radio show at www.WebTalkRadio.net and watch me on Fox News this Saturday at 1130a EST.
I am off to Venice, Italy for a little party tomorrow. I want be wrestling over there or anything so I don't want to start any rumors. It is purely for pleasure. It is my first trip without my fanny pack. However, in Italy I am closer to the field at Citi Field than my seats are that I split with Brian Gewirts for the Mets. Because those seats really stink.

Have a nice time in Venice, Italy. Sucks you won't be wrestling, but whatever. Come back to WWE for one night please! :( See ya later!
