    11/11/09 ECW Dirt Sheet

Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 05:58 PM EST [General]

"If you are the ECW Champion and you are about to walk to the ring to face off in one of your toughest matches yet, being mentally and physically ready is a definite must.

"Last night on ECW, the ECW Champion, Christian was to defend the ECW Championship against William Regal, in what could very well be his last shot at the Championship for a while. Regal felt he had the advantage because his match was in his homeland of England, but there was mixed reaction among the WWE Universe. Some were cheering for Regal and some were cheering for Christian, and then you have myself, who had a sneaky feeling that ECW General Manager, Tiffany, was going to make some sort of heel turn by getting involved in the match and allowing Regal to become the new champion, even though she had Regal's goons, Ezekial Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov, banned from ringside.

"All Tiffany was doing was making sure that the WWE Universe was going to get their money's worth during this match, and believe me when I say, that they did including myself. I'll admit that I thought that there was going to be a new ECW Champion when Regal kicked out of a 3 count after one of Christian's Kill Switches. After that, I was doing nothing but biting my nails. This match alone has been nominated for match of the year. Christian and Regal were fighting tooth and nail all the way to the very end. Finally, it was Christian, ending the rivalry as he put away Regal with another Kill Switch making him the winner of the match and retaining the ECW Championship.

"If I'm not mistaken, I could have sworn that it was going to be Paul Burchill vs The Hurricane in a Mask Vs Career match, but last night, the Ripper was one on one with Goldust.

"Burchill was looking to gain a lot of momentum going to next week's match with the Hurricane, and have you guys noticed the wrestling skills of Goldust since he went to the Land of Extreme? Boy, has this superstar stepped his game up. Burchill was on the verge of victory until the Hurricane himself came out to distract him, which allowed Goldust to nail Burchill with the Curtain Call to get the win.

"Based upon what I saw In last night's match, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Burchill lost.He has been on Raw, and he is now on ECW. If he loses next week, then what is it, off to Smackdown for him?

"Boy, did the WWE gain a huge kudos with Vance Archer, formerly known as Lance Hoyt of the Rock and Rave Infection of TNA. Thank you Jake, by the way, for correcting me on that whole thing with Jimmy Rave saying,''WE LOVE YOU, TOPEKA KANSAS!''

"Archer was in action last night against a UK jobber, and let me say, I'm so liking Vance Archer's new aggression, as well as his mean streak in the ring. This man is going to be one that the whole ECW locker room should not take lightly, as last night, he made quick work of his opponent.

'Vance Archer is so going to run roughshod in the Land of Extreme.

"By the way, I have a special message for Abraham Washington: How did it feel having one of your guests stealing the show last night when you had Yoshi Tatsu on your show last night? Huh, I'm sure that Chris Tucker had an easier time understanding Jackie Chan in the Rush Hour movies than you did understanding Tatsu. Come on, Abe, you should have Tatsu back on your show more often.

"And Zack Ryder my friend, I can understand why you are so in love with Rosa Mendes.

"When you are done with her, feel free to send her to me."

Damn, WWE has been red hot in England, and I bet this Friday with Chris Jericho and the Undertaker on Smackdown is gonna be a 10-star phenomenon. See you all later for more!

11/9/09 RAW Dirt Sheet: Hats off to Hatton

Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 06:40 PM EST [General]

"This week, all of WWE's programming is going to take place overseas in jolly old England, and what a great way to kick things off last night than with 15-time boxing champion, Ricky 'the Hitman' Hatton as last night's guest host of Raw.

"As Hatton was greeting the WWE Universe to Raw, just like every guest host of Raw almost, he gets interrupted by Chris Jericho and the Big Show.[CAN'T THESE GUYS EVER LEARN?!] The Big Show did with Hatton just like he did with Floyd 'Money' Mayweather and that's antagonizing a wiry boxer, but just as Hatton was ready to knockout the Big Show, Jericho gets in the way and does a rant about Hatton, Sheffield, and the whole country of England. [Mr.Jericho has so crossed the line] Things took a detour as DeGeneration X came out and told Hatton that they were going to take care of the Honey Monster and Mr.Bean.

"But Micheals gave Jericho a little taste of what was going to happen in their match, and Jericho and the Big Show, just like the cowards that they are, ran back to the locker room. The match took place and I'm sure that you all remember last week when Triple H and Shawn Micheals were sitting at the announce table during last week's Triple Threat Match. Well, John Cena was sitting at the announce table for last night's match.

"I was actually hoping for Jerishow to win the match. Call me crazy, call me a certified whack job, but I did, just to see them do a number on Triple H and Shawn Michaels, just to have John Cena return the favor from last week. During this match, both teams were delivering a great deal of punishment to each other, and just when the Big Show was going to nail Micheals with his Knockout Punch, he misses and knocks out Jericho.. This allows Micheals to take advantage of the situation and does, as he scores the pinfall.

"And get a load of this:

"Next week on Raw, from Madison Square Garden with WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper as the guest host, next week's main event is going to be a Triple Threat Tag Team Match:

    JOHN CENA AND THE UNDERTAKER
    VS.
    DEGENERATION X
    VS.
CHRIS JERICHO AND THE BIG SHOW

"That's what I call huge. We are in for a 10-star match next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Hatton wasn't done as he was confronted by Chavo Guerrero, and Chavo starts going on and on about  how basically he was getting sick and tired of getting disrespected by all the guest hosts. Last night, it was Boxer vs Wrestler as Hatton took on Guerrero. The only way for Hatton to win was by knockout and the only way for Guerrero to win is by pinfall or submission.

"I'll admit this was something to look at for sure. Hatton was biding his time and was waiting for the right moment to come several minutes Into the match when Hatton escaped from a waist lock and nailed Guerrero with a hard-hitting knockout punch, putting him down for the count.

"Kofi Kingston was the guest of MVP's on the V.I.P Lounge last night. He was toasted by both MVP and Mark Henry, who toasted their Survivor Series captain for the way that he has been standing up to Randy Orton over the past few weeks.

"Orton was not happy with what was going on. As he was confronting Kingston and his buddies, Orton said something offensive to the trio and Kingston slapped Orton, showing him that he was not going to be bullied.[GOOD FOR YOU, KINGSTON!]

"Orton had his match last night against Mark Henry, and it was looking like that it was going to be easy pickings for the World's Strongest Man. In a match that saw both superstars on the verge of victory, I have to admit, I was very impressed with the way that Orton was handling himself against a man that was a lot bigger than him. Orton nailed Henry with a RKO out of nowhere to get the win.

"Orton has never been one to swallow his pride easily. When Kingston tended to Henry, as he returned the slap that Kingston gave him earlier, then Kingston went after Orton, but the Viper slithered outside the ring.

"Last week, Sheamus said that he was going to end the career of Jamie Noble, and that's exactly what he did. Earlier today, I was reading WWE.com and Wrestling-Radio.com, that after 14 years in professional wrestling, Jamie Noble hung up the boots to take a producer role in the WWE. And after they way that Sheamus made quick work of his opponent last night, it makes perfect sense.

"Jack Swagger from now on, should start thinking before starting to speak. This goes back to when he said that he was going to remain undefeated for the rest of 2009. Last night on Raw, that promise came to an end when he was beaten by Evan Bourne last night, thanks to a little outside interference from the Miz.

"Swagger not only lost the match, but he lost a lot of pride as well, and is probably going to take it out on the Miz next week, hopefully!!!!

"Kelly Kelly was accompanied by Gail Kim last night, trying to make amends for coming a little bit shy in last week's Diva Battle Royal as she took on Alicia Fox, who had Jillian in her corner.

"I'm sad to say that Alicia Fox continued her winning ways last night and next week, she faces Melina for the Divas Championship, and I'm wondering if Jillian is going to be a part of next week's match."

No idea on that, but I bet RAW at MSG is gonna be nuts next week! Peace out, everyone!

    11/7/09 Smackdown Dirt Sheet

Saturday, November 7, 2009, 03:39 PM EST [General]

"The WWE's Fall classic, Survivor Series is just almost 2 weeks away, and the Undertaker came out at the start of last night's Smackdown recalling his history in the WWE. I'm sure that a lot of you would remember the first time that you saw him, which was at the 1990 Survivor Series, introduced by the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase and was managed by Brother Love. The Undertaker was telling the WWE Universe that many superstars was vanquished by the likes of the Undertaker, but Chris Jericho wasn't impressed at all as he was telling the Undertaker his own self centered views.

"Jericho paid for running his big mouth as the Undertaker gave him would could very well be a taste of what could be in store for him at Survivor Series when the Undertaker gave Jericho a huge boot to the face, and next week we could see a preview of the upcoming Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship, as for the first time next week on Smackdown, it will be Chris Jericho going one on one with The Undertaker.

"I think that everybody in the WWE Universe has been wondering since last week, what could possibly be going through the mind of Rey Mysterio after he tried to reason with Batista when he refused to listen? Last night, Josh Matthews was talking to him about their upcoming match at Survivor Series in which Mysterio and Batista is to go at it one on one.

"Mysterio was talking in Spanish and after he was done, Mysterio had a message for Batista, and that was that he didn't know what has gotten into him, but at Survivor Series, he is going to get it all out, and at Survivor Series, he was going to see a side of Mysterio that we all never knew existed.

"Last night, Mysterio had a match against the very big and dangerous Mike Knox, and based upon what Mysterio said to Mathews, I honestly thought that we were going to see that side against Knox, which would be a message sent to the Animal. Knox used brute force and power against Mysterio, but Mysterio with all the willpower and everything that Mysterio has in him, put away Knox with the 619, gets the win and not only that, he has gained a lot of momentum going into Survivor Series.

"Now we know what Mysterio said, but Batista's response was no different. He told Matthews that he is on Smackdown for one reason and one reason only, and that was to become the World Heavyweight Champion, and not to make friends, even if it means having to go through guys like Mysterio at Survivor Series, and Matt Hardy, which he had a match with last night. Batista was still blaming Mysterio for him not winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Bragging Rights.

"Batista and Matt Hardy had their match last night, after Hardy felt the Animal's wrath last week when he shoved him into the chain linked fence. Based upon what I saw last night, the Animal has a new mean streak in him, one that says that he will do anything, and I do mean anything to become the World Heavyweight Champion, and he showed that last night against Hardy who won by disqualification after the Animal sent him into the announce table and nailed him with a TV monitor. The Animal walks alone and that is now a proven fact.

"6 Man Tag Team action was about to take place as Dolph Ziggler and the Hart Dynasty took on Cryme Tyme and the Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison.

"Morrison and Tyson Kidd were going at it, and Morrison was favoring the right side of his ribcage that he injured during the match, but he didn't let that stop him as he was continuing to clean house with Kidd. Morrison could have went for a cover, but instead David Hart Smith was tagged in, and he goes to work on Morrison. Morrison countered and gave Smith a flying scissors kick off the top rope.

"Morrison tags in Shad, and Morrison flies over the top rope and lands on both Ziggler and Kidd. Inside the ring, however, Shad and David Hart Smith were going at it toe to toe. As they were going at it inside the ring, outside the ring, Morrison and Ziggler were going at it, and Ziggler dropped Morrison on the railing.

"Ziggler had himself tagged in, but Shad was not aware of it as he tried to put away Smith with Thugnificent, as Ziggler came from behind and nailed Shad with the ZigZag to get the win.

"Next week on Smackdown, it will be John Morrison defending the Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler.

"Now I want to say this: during the Summer, it was booked for Ziggler to win the Intercontinental Championship from Rey Mysterio at Night of Champions and back at Summerslam, but it didn't happen because the WWE BTS people felt that it can really work well with the Morrison/Ziggler rivalry and with that being said, I'm so looking forward to next week's Intercontinental Championship match.

"Speaking of people becoming champions, Drew McIntyre was up to his old tricks. At first, it was looking like his match against Jimmy Wang Yang was going to be another no contest, and the reason was, he attacked him before the match got started, because he wants better competiton, a-la Vladimir Kozlov when he was on Smackdown.

"But Yang told the referee to ring the bell, and McIntyre came back in the ring before the 10 count and continued his assault and getting the 3 count, making him the winner of the match.

'All I'm going to say about this next match is, the Glamazon continues to show the WWE Universe that her wrestling career is back on track after she made quick work of her opponent, Brittany Carter.

"CM Punk has to be a very unhappy man after last night. He was in action against R-Truth, and guess what? Scott Armstrong was the referee.

"What a good match this was. Punk set himself up for yet another loss when he was continuing to demand that Armstrong does his job in Punk's favor. Toward the end of the match, Punk went for a cover and only got a 2 count, and Punk told Armstrong to count faster.

"This distraction allowed Truth to roll up Punk from behind, and Armstrong did what he was told and made a fast 3 count with Punk's shoulders to the mat."

Pretty cool stuff, and I can't wait for next week's shows in the UK, especially this Monday's RAW with Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton. See you for tomorrow's Top 50 Countdown!:D

Halloween WWE Smackdown Dirt Sheet 2009

Saturday, October 31, 2009, 04:38 PM EST [General]

After Bragging Rights this past Sunday in which Smackdown proved that they were the better brand in the WWE, one would have to think that Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long would be off probation. At the start of last night's Smackdown, he was bragging (pardon the expression) about Team Smackdown's victory.

"As he was continuing to talk about Team Smackdown's victory, here comes Chris Jericho with the Bragging Rights trophy, telling Long  that  he was the one that carried Team Smackdown to victory at Bragging Rights all by himself and that he should be the one getting a crack at The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series.

"But Jericho who as always, was letting his ego get the best of him, has to realize that he had a co-captain in the Big Red Monster, Kane. And he too made claim that he should challenge The Undertaker at Survivor Series for the World Heavyweight Championship, and just as Kane was ready to chokeslam Jericho, Long stopped him and told them that if Raw was going to have a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship, then Smackdown should have a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship, so Long made a match between Chris Jericho and Kane and the winner would get the 3rd slot in Smackdown's Triple Threat match.

"But that didn't sit right with CM Punk, who has been so hellbent on getting back the World Heavyweight Championship ever since he lost it to The Undertaker back at Hell in a Cell. And After last week's plan backfired in order to get back the World Heavyweight Championship, Punk was furious as ever, so just when he demanded another World Heavyweight Championship match, Vince McMahon told him no. But he did something else, and that's put Punk in a match against referee Scott Armstrong.

"OMG, here we go with another Charles Robinson situation from last year, and from back when Kurt Angle was the Smackdown General Manager.

"I will say this, Armstrong was not ready to back down from Punk  as he was hitting him with some good punches. As I was watching this match, it brings to mind if he ever had a boxing background. But it wasn't enough as Punk was fighting back, leaving Armstrong at his mercy as well as putting him away with the GTS.

"Back to the main event, in which Chris Jericho took on Kane with the winner getting a spot in the Triple Threat match at Survivor Series. Kane had the size and weight advantage going into this match, and not to mention the fact he is the Undertaker's Brother, so he knows him better than any WWE Superstar.

"But in the end, it was Chris Jericho that made a comeback and put away the Big Red Monster with a Codebreaker to get the win, and at Survivor Series it will be the Undertaker defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho and the Big Show, and I'm wondering if there will be a lot more friction among the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions leading up to Survivor Series. We will have to see as the weeks progress in the WWE.

"2 weeks ago, Matt Hardy had a match against Eric Escobar for a spot on Team Smackdown, but last week, if you remember, all of that changed, and that's all I got to say about that.

"Last night, Hardy and Escobar had their rematch, and did you see Vickie Guerrero's (blech!) costume, calling herself Princess Vickie Guerrero? I call her the wicked witch of World Wrestling Entertainment.

"Hardy and Escobar were in a hard fought match last night, and despite getting his knee injured by Escobar, Matt Hardy fought back and handed him his first singles defeat.

"Drew McIntyre has to have a huge head on his shoulders. Anybody would have a huge head on his shoulders if Vince McMahon signs you to either Raw or Smackdown and says that person will be a future World Champion.

"Drew McIntyre was supposed to have a match last night against Finlay, which was declared a no contest when he attacked Finlay before the match got started. This brutal assault on Finlay was McIntyre's way of saying thattThe party has just begun.

"Even though Team Smackdown won the Bragging Rights trophy, John Morrison was the only one that did not win his Smackdown vs Raw match. But that didn't stop him from doing what he does best against Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler hasn't had a chance at the Intercontinental Championship since Hell In a Cell, and this was a perfect chance for him to get another chance at the title. What another great match this was, and Morrison was once again set to prove why that he is the Guru of Greatness as he went for Starship Pain, but Ziggler exited the ring and Morrison went after Ziggler. Ziggler was using his quick thinking and hid under the announce table to get the win by a count out.

    HEADS UP FOR YOU GUYS:

"This Tuesday night on My Network TV, Dolph Ziggler along with Eve and Maria and going to be on a special WWE edition of Deal Or No Deal this Tuesday night at 9/8c on My Network TV.

"Back to Smackdown, in which the whole WWE Universe as well as Rey Mysterio wants an explanation from Batista as to why he did what he did this past Sunday night at Bragging Rights.

"Mysterio was trying to rectify the situation, but the Animal wanted no part of it and demanded that Mysterio leave the ring, but the Master of the 619 wouldn't do it, and once again was trying to make things right again, but again, the Animal refused, and he was the one that walked away.

"Back in the locker room, Matt Hardy confronted the Animal and told him to think about what he was doing. The Animal's response was attacking Matt Hardy and sending him into the chain link fence.

"As a result of this, next week on Friday Night Smackdown, it will be the Animal, Batista taking on Matt Hardy.

"The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix had her first match on Smackdown last night against Jenny Brooks, a local athlete. Let's say this, the way that she handled miss Brooks last night was her way of sending a message to Michelle McCool that she will without a doubt be a threat to her WWE Women's Championship.

"Cryme Tyme hosted a Diva's Halloween Costume Contest, and here is how the Divas were dressed.

    Natalya- A Bull Fighter
    Layla-Micheal Jackson
    Michelle McCool-The Devil's Advocate
    Mickie James-Elektra

"After all the Divas were done showing off their costumes, it was Mickie James who was the winner."

Well, what an exciting Hallow's Eve, huh?
